This is a stylish resort hotel in the Stowe, VT area. We booked a deluxe King room and were given a rather large room overlooking a garden area (see photo), with a nice bathroom with good counter space and a combo tub/shower. There was also ample shelving and drawer space, in addition to a closet with plenty of hangers and robes. The resort had nice pools and hot tubs, both indoors and out (see photos). The service was friendly and professional. Although the resort is not a far drive away from restaurants and shops in Stowe, there is little one can walk to. We did appreciate the landscaping in the hotel grounds, which showed off the beautiful fall colors.

Nice pretty location with amazing view from the hotel room window! Room was clean and spacious. Luckily it wasnt too cold as couldnt have the heater on during the night as it literaly sounded like a jet engine taking off! No kettle in the room and was told we could get hot water from the coffee machine in room....but unless you want the dregs of the last persons coffee (and unboiled water in your tea) I would give it a miss! I did ask about a kettle at reception and was told to ask at the bar....needless to say the barman was as confused as me! For such, what appears to be, up-market hotel, I think a few spare kettles to hand out to guests on request would be good (other places managed it). The setting is beautiful but was a little concerned when asked to sign a wildlife disclaimer.....ask why, its a funny story!(although not for the person concerned). We didnt eat or drink in the hotel or use spa/pool as it was just a couple night stopover on a fly-drive. I would definitely stay again but would pack the travel kettle....us brits do like a nice cup of tea!

We stayed here for 6 nights. We were delighted with this hotel, especially its location and the quality of service. Our room had a beautiful view of the mountains and the forests. We found all of the staff to be really friendly, helpful and the level of service was very high. Breakfast was good and we also ate in the hotel restaurant on three nights. (With big groups in on two nights and given that the restaurant/bar has few soft furnishings, the noise level did get a bit loud at times). There are many other places to eat also in the locale. We also enjoyed drinks outside around the open fire. One small downside for us on our extended road trip is that it appears there was no laundry service in the hotel.

What a fantastic hotel. Great staff, great food, great facilities, lovely pool. Outside firepit was beautiful in the evening

You know what makes an Old Fashioned great? Whistle Pig rye. And you know WHO makes a great old fashioned? Ricky the bartender at The Roost at Topnotch at Stowe. But the meal. Oh dear lord. A special twist on chilled vichyssoise followed by their legendary pork chop stuffed with local blue cheese. Truly one of the best dishes I’ve had in years. My husband and I returned after 45 years (yes) and the evening did not disappoint. Wow. Go there.
