We booked for a two night stay in Stowe hoping to see the Fall. We came accross Lake Champlain with the ferrie from Port Kent and approached Stowe via Jeffersonvill through Smugglers Notch. We arrived at the hotel early evening. We hada lovely reception and was checked into a great room with kingsize bed. The bed in the room was very comfortable wirh lovely crisp bedding. We went for a swim and sauna and a soak in the whirl pool. The second night we had dinner in the Flannel restaurant which we will absolutely recommend. It was with a sad heart that we left and hope to return.

Beautiful venue; excellent customer service; classy and comfortable accommodations; happy people work here! Couldn't imagine a more perfect venue for our daughter's Vermont wedding! Now bringing back for pure relaxation using the amenities we were too busy for-spa, pool, horse back riding.

From the warm greeting by the general manager to the spot on service we received from the food and beverage outlets, our visit to Top Notch will always be fondly recalled. I would like to mention Noel in the resorts Flannel resturant as being very kowlegable server with a genuine personality. The pool, spa and all who keep these amenities sparkling clean should also be commended. This was my second visit to Top Notch and we can not wait to come back.

I read that Fall in New England is spectacular so I flew into Boston, rented a car and drove to Stowe, VT. The flight was easy (flew Delta there, JetBlue back) and the drive was relaxing and easy. Just 3 hours from Boston (4 hrs with the stops at the Cider donut shop and Ben & Jerrys). Once at Topnotch I was even more thrilled. The hotel has 3 pools (2 outside, one indoors), an incredible spa (hair, nails, fitness classes, pool fitness class too!), indoor and outdoor tennis and hiking and BIKING trails all around. I was only there for 3 days so deciding what to do was tough. I decided to visit breweries first - Von Trapp, Alchemist and then outdoor dining at IdelTyme. All were fantastic! The second day I did a group fitness class with Donna (free for hotel guests and others can join for a small fee I was told by a member - was really great to meet local residents), then a massage with Katie and, exhausted and relaxed, I lounged around the pool (lunch at Flannel was delish). Day three I wanted to bike the trail that starts across the street from Topnotch and hit the pizza place and other spots, but I also wanted to shop in town. So I walked a bit of the trail, then returned to go to town. Happened to be the day of the British Invasion car event (super cool, small, fancy cars, plus a block party). So I went to town - many cool, cute shops, plenty of bars for the small size of town, lots of photo opps. I enjoyed the block party and had dinner at Doc Ponds. Another perfect day. I would totally recommend this town and Topnotch. Just need more than 3 days to experience all the fn. I would add two more days - one more for just biking, another for hiking.

We've ben going for several years now. We like it so much, we're looking into possibly purchasing a place at TopNotch. The people and location are amazing. They are very helpful, caring and most of them are professional. Sure, the place needs some updates, and they are working on that, but overall, it's an amazing place with great people. It truly is "TopNotch" ;). I'd go back in a heart-beat and would tell any of my friends / family to go. The pool is great, the view is amazing, the rooms are very clean and nice, the food is also great. Lastly, I can't forget about the spa and tennis center, both also on top of their games. All in all, the place to go while in Stowe, VT. Hands-down...
