Indoor/Outdoor pool, indoor/outdoor hot tub, spa, 2 restaurants with great food, tennis courts, close to some of Vermont's best breweries. Not much more you can ask for, esp. for families! We've been here twice now and wouldn't hesitate to come back!

The hotel is beautiful with delicious food, gorgeous grounds, lovely spa. We ate at Flannel for several meals and really enjoyed each time. We had a nice yoga class upon arrival and massages and treatment that were great. Our highlight was tennis camp. We did two days of the 3-hr morning clinics. They were awesome! Shaun and Cody were fabulous instructors. We are experienced players and we learned many new tips from them. Very professionally led by Milan who greeted us at breakfast (nice touch!) and got us excited to start our days!

The facilities that included tennis courts two outdoor heated swimming pools with one exclusively for adults were fantastic. The terraces for outdoor eating were very comfortable and the services generally were top notch. The location is on the Mountain Road a five minute drive just outside the town of Stowe making parking etc so easy. Close to many other eating establishments although the hotel offers great food.Highly recommended.

The perfect getaway for a romantic couples retreat, the whole family, or a business event. The main building has a unique feel with the perfect combination of an upscale hotel and a warm, welcoming lodge. You cannot beat the easily accessible amenities: large pool next to a high class spa. From the front desk, to the spa, to the excellent restaurant, to the cleaning crews, everyone has a smile on their face and welcomes you with kindness and conversation. There are options for individual units and awesome facilities for large events and weddings. You can't get the rustic Vermont feel at a more luxurious facility, and their prices/deals are an absolute steal for what you get!

The rooms are nice enough. Nothing stands out but nothing to worry about either. Clean and spacious. The staff seems a bit young and unpolished and for the most part are more reactive than proactive. At times the hotel seemed a bit under-staffed, more so given it was a holiday weekend. The hotel itself is very nice. Great location with nice views of Mansfield Mountain and the surrounding area. The outdoor areas are well kept and the common areas a re clean. Somewhat "odd" scene/atmosphere in the bar/casual dining area. They should lower the volume and change the music they are playing over the speakers with something a bit more fitting to the local/environment. The spa was very good. We had one meal (lunch) and it was fine. Nothing special but fairly priced and decent portions and variety. Housekeeping was wonderful. They kept the rooms and hallways spotless. We did not take tennis lessons but watch some classes and they really seemed to have some knowledgeable staff and nice facilities. The hotels needs to address the situation with the pool. On busy summer weekends, the pool can get overwhelmed with people. That is because the hotel seems to let just about anyone in. Aside from the hotels guests, the hotel also allows the folks in the condos up of it to use the pool and spa, along with their guests. It also allows spa annual members to use the pool. And, it also sells day passes. And, to make matters worse, the hotel had no control over who entered the area, allowing people to simply walk who had nothing to do with the property or paid any fee (two men next to us were boasting about how they had just walked right in and were camping out by the pool for the afternoon). So what happens is that you have hotel guests standing/walking around with no place to sit or put their stuff down. You have hotel guests paying $300+ a night who can't use the pool. That is not acceptable. The hotel guests are the people who make Topnotch possible. Without them the place would close down. Something needs to be done to control over-crowding in the pool on the handful of busy times during the year. Overall nice stay. Aside from the issues with the pool, which by the way is a wonderful pool, we did not have much else to complain about.
