My wife and I were there for a quick getaway and were absolutely delighted by our experience at this resort. The staff was really nice and helpful - from the bellboy, front desk, concierge and restaurant staff - we only had pleasant experiences. The resort is well maintained, rooms are comfortable. Dog friendly as well - our dog was greeted with treats and a comfortable bed! Would definitely return.

My wife and I only spent one night in the resort as we were traveling through the area. Stowe is a location I'd like to spend more time. Topnotch would be my first choice to stay again. All the staff were friendly and helpful. After we settled in we enjoyed a local draft on the great patio. We were given friendly advice on a place to dine. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet. Close to the restaurant, Flannel, where we enjoyed breakfast before our departure which is where we met employees Noelle and Lucas. I started out with a great Blood Mary. Then I couldn't make up my mind on the "Benny" (I like trying different Hollandaise) or "The 802 Omelet" and Noelle help me out. After I finished "802", to my surprise, Noelle asked Lucas to bring a taste of his own Hollandaise creation (along with a English muffin). It was delicious. Just the right amount of spices. Lucas sat and talked with us for quite some time about his life experiences in the kitchen and the Stowe area. Noelle informed us about flying into Burlington and exploring the area on our return trip. Both great Stowe, VT ambassadors which is why I'd stay at Topnotch again. Happy Trails Noelle and Lucas.

If you can purchase a room at a discounted price, this hotel is wonderful. Very clean in the public areas and in our room. Our room, #116 on the first floor, was quite large and had excellent storage. The bathroom is a good size. The cons: The people walking in their room above us could very easily be heard. There was also peeling paint on the bathroom ceiling which is not acceptable for the room prices they are charging. The hotel is outside of town, so you cannot walk to anything. We did not utilize the pool due to the time of year we visited. All of the hotel staff, from the reception desk to the bartender, were very pleasant. Had no issues.

My husband and I stayed here for a week during our fall foliage vacation. The hotel is very nice, clean, modern and centrally located. There were 2 things I didn't like. Even though we had booked months in advance, our friends decided to join us at the last minute, paid the same amount we did but when they checked in, they were given a 2 bedroom condo at no charge. Why were we not offered that??? Secondly, when we checked out there were a ton of taxes and a $20 resort fee per night that no one told us about. We didn't use any if their amenities (spa, pool, gym) because we were out everyday. If you just need a place to stay while you enjoy the outdoors, this may be a bit too expensive. Beware of the extra fees!

On a tour of New England we stopped here as a treat and it was very good, though not excellent. The room was pure quality (though it should be for the price). Bed was exceptionally comfy. Nice toiletries too. We dined in bar which had nice beer selection and food surpassed expectations for a bar meal. YUM On the negatives the grounds of the hotel are a bit scruffy and pooled looked dirty. My bill was wrong and I have pre-payed but they still held $500 of my credit card ... yikes ... Checkout was messy as my Dad got charged for my room and vice vera ... got it sorted in the end. My parents used the pool and had locker issues and found it hard to get a member of staff to help ... A lovely hotel with friendly staff ... just wanted something a little bit more special for the money.
