Reviews for Streamsong Resort

Worth the price

Everything about this place is high class. The hotel is fantastic, the service was great, the courses were incredible. Certainly pricey but we all felt that it was warranted. You've gotta love golf to come here, but it's definitely a bucket list item. If you want the best caddy out there request Trace, he was extremely knowledgeable and a good time on the course. Nothing bad to say about this place, hope to get back soon.

Outstanding trip to Streamsong

Just returned from Streamsong on a 4 day golf vacation with some friends. Overall we had an excellent visit. The golf was amazing each day. We played the chain on Thursday, Black on Fri, Blue/ red sat and red again Sunday. All courses were in excellent condition. Our caddie Geo was fantastic and made our golf experience even better. The rounds took around 4 hours .The staff was terrific and everyone was very friendly. Overall the food was very good. The steakhouse and Italian restaurant were the best. The room was clean and very comfortable. Make sure you check out the rooftop bar.We were very impressed with everything and can’t wait to go back.

Streamsong Caddie

Place was awesome, course in good condition. Black was tough, red and blue were good. I can't say enough good things about my caddie MJ. MJ is very experienced about the game and has even better course knowledge. He knows every single read on the greens and is an incredible person with great personality. He coached a 6 handicap to a 69 on red. Best caddie I have ever had. Highly recommend requesting him to guide you through the round.

Overpriced - under value , not up to the standards of other expensive resorts

Very disappointed in this place. The hotel was terribly overpriced. Seemed like a Marriott for $600. The food was mediocre at best. Had to send back the steak at the steakhouse. Golf was extremely hard. That was fine, but the condition was just ok. Not groomed at all and like playing on Mars. Caddies were atrocious. Lazy and uninformed. I wanted to know not only the distance, but also where to miss my shots and where to aim. Way over the head of the caddies who only were worried about putts breaking two cups right.

Top notch in most respects; food lags a bit

Really nice infrastructure - hotel is modern, sleek but still feels warm and welcoming - we all thought it was a lot like the Liberty National club house. Rooms were modern, well equipped and comfortable. Nice views everywhere. All staff throughout the property were super friendly and responsive. Couldn’t have been nicer. Only thing not quite up to par was the food. Steakhouse sides and salad/apps were good, but steak itself was not very good - despite the server playing up how great Debraggo of New York steaks are (I live in NY and frequent the best butchers - Lobel’s/CItarellas and steak houses - never heard of a Debraggo steak); that said the crème broule corn and other sides and salads and such were top notch. Again though I cannot overstate how friendly and accommodating every single staff member we met was. It was really notable. Be sure to hit the hotel roof bar at or right after sunset or after dinner. It is a fun scene with great views. The golf itself? Our unanimous preferences in order were Red, Blue, BLack. We really liked the red course. Good layout, playable (Maybe too short from the silver tees - multiple 300 yard par 4s), water kept it interesting but not too much. Blue was similar. Black we didnt like at all. 3/4 of the shots are blind, so the pace is slow and it’s annoying standing on the tee and not see the flag time after time. Plus there are no digital maps on the cart or a hole layout at the tee so you really have no idea where the hole is going. Also not much water on black (lots of huge waste bunkers instead) and some tee boxes were kind of ratty. Also note it can get quite hot. 90+ degrees each day so we opted to ride instead of walk. Two of the days had a good breeze and not much humidity, so was overall pretty tolerable. But if it so hot in early May I would be careful about June, let along July or August if you are heat sensitive.
