Streamsong Resort in Streamsong, Florida

Far beyond a quintessential golf and spa destination, Streamsong Resort ushers in a new era of luxury in central Florida. Extraordinary is a way of life here. Surrounded by nothing but nature in every direction, Streamsong Resort is situated just under 50 miles southeast of Tampa, enveloped by acres of rolling greens and glittering lakes. The 216-room main lodge houses custom-built guest rooms and suites that are modern and sophisticated, with views extending over the horizon, fostering a true sanctuary vibe. Spaces are no less than 530 square feet in size, and feature floor-to- ceiling windows, walk-in showers, double vanities, and boutique amenities designed to accommodate every detail of your stay. Take advantage of the lodge's complete fitness center and outdoor lakeside pool, or spend some quiet time relaxing in the serene loft/lounge area. Perfectly set with lakes on its sunrise and sunset sides, Streamsong Resort takes full advantage of its splendid setting with plenty of scenic observation spots, and the lack of city lights makes for incredible starlight views, especially from the rooftop lounge.

The resort is home to a wonderful array of amenities and sporting activities, including multiple streams and lakes that offer excellent Florida bass fishing, a sporting clay shooting range, trails for hiking and bird watching, and outdoor fireplaces. Take your relaxation to the next level at the grotto-style AcquaPietra spa, where world-class treatments will transport you to a place of tranquility and ultimate refreshment. The crown jewels of Streamsong Resort, though, are the critically acclaimed Streamsong Blue and Streamsong Red golf courses. Renowned golf architects Bill Coore, Ben Crenshaw, and Tom Doak worked simultaneously to create two extraordinary 18-hole golf masterpieces - both of which were specifically designed to be walked and offer the ultimate golfing experience. When it comes to dining, the resort continues its superior offerings with four casual and fine dining venues, as well as multiple bars. Fifty-Nine is Streamsong's elegant steak and seafood restaurant, located in the clubhouse, and serves delectable options for breakfast, lunch and dinner, including a top notch wine list. For contemporary American cuisine in a stylish setting, P2O5 hits the spot with flavorful renditions of classic fare, and the resort's flagship gourmet venue, Sotto Terra, is an experience in fine Italian and intimate personalized service. Toast your fabulous day at the rooftop lounge, and delight in the endless pleasures that Streamsong Resort consistently brings.

We recently completed a buddies trip to Streamsong black. Having played both the red and blue courses and enjoyed them our expectations were very high. The Black course is much more player friendly and will leave the double digit handicap The Black course is much more player friendly and will leave the double digit handicap guys ego intact. We experienced a two hour weather delay during our round. The staff was well prepared to keep golfers organized, informed, and most importantly well hydrated during the weather delay. In the midst of having 80+ golfers all wanting a beverage or food at the same time I was able to order a burger and received it within 10 minutes. Top 5 burger ever had. Don’t go to stream song and expect to play four hour round of golf. These are iconic novelty courses meant to exercise your imagination. So soak it in and budget five hours to play. Is it a bit tricked up? Yeah, but that’s the point. If you want to feel like your 86 was right in front of you, stick to the muni tracks. Thanks for another great experience with many reasons to be back.

We stayed for four days and played all three courses. The hotel is modern and airy with contemporary decor. The rooms are large and well equipped with free wifi, a coffee maker and large flat screens. USB ports and incredible floor to ceiling glass windows stretching the width of the room. They are closed with very large sturdy wooden vertical shutters. Bathrooms are large and well appointed with separate toilet. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. There are two restaurants and a bar in the main lodge, and then a steakhouse and gastro pub at the clubhouses by the golf courses. There is a free shuttle between the two. Make sure you pack all you need because this is in the middle of nowhere but for a three or four day stay you do not need to leave. The lodge has a spa and fitness center but I did not uses either. Breakfast is a comprehensive buffet with an egg prep station and the courses both have restaurant and snack facilities. Overall this is a great place for a golf trip or for a management conference where you want to keep the delegates close at hand.

Great resort and highly recommend Brad Hammock as golf caddie-excellent read on fairways & greens & encouragement on playing best; bass fishing highly recommend Sean Happ - excellent & fun at showing us new fishermen how to catch bass!

The people, especially our caddies Damien and Harris, were very nice and our hotel room was wonderful. We played the new black course and the red course. We did not love the black course. It was flat and uninteresting. The red course was great. On all courses, the ladies tees are very forgiving so that the course is not punishing for women. The problems: It was hard to get anyone on the telephone and room service was atrocious. However, the food in the restaurants was good.

Went here with three friends for a 3 day golf outing. Flew into Tampa and was a fairly easy but circuitous route getting there ( 1 hour and 20 minutes with no traffic). Amazing hotel property. Very contemporary and clean . Staff was all accommodating and check in was smooth . Had read some negative reviews about staff attitude but have to say that never had a bad experience in the time we were there. Resort restaurants were comfortable and food was good, not gourmet but it's a golf resort geared towards corporate outings and golf outings. The rooms were amazing. Have traveled quite a bit and this was one of the nicest rooms that I've experienced ( including top end Vegas hotels). The golf is amazing but they need to monitor pace of play better. We had early tee times every day that went well ( ie. 3:45 hours- we do play fast) but our final round was a 1:30 pm tee time on the Black Course that took us 5 1/2 hours. Granted it's a tough course but marshals need to enforce pace of play and mandatory caddies need to tell groups to speed up. Even Pebble Beach isn't enjoyable when it takes that long to play. Looks like they are trying to position themselves as a Florida version of Bandon Dunes or Pinehurst. Hope that it works out but PLEASE pay attention to pace of play!
