Streamsong Resort in Streamsong, Florida

Far beyond a quintessential golf and spa destination, Streamsong Resort ushers in a new era of luxury in central Florida. Extraordinary is a way of life here. Surrounded by nothing but nature in every direction, Streamsong Resort is situated just under 50 miles southeast of Tampa, enveloped by acres of rolling greens and glittering lakes. The 216-room main lodge houses custom-built guest rooms and suites that are modern and sophisticated, with views extending over the horizon, fostering a true sanctuary vibe. Spaces are no less than 530 square feet in size, and feature floor-to- ceiling windows, walk-in showers, double vanities, and boutique amenities designed to accommodate every detail of your stay. Take advantage of the lodge's complete fitness center and outdoor lakeside pool, or spend some quiet time relaxing in the serene loft/lounge area. Perfectly set with lakes on its sunrise and sunset sides, Streamsong Resort takes full advantage of its splendid setting with plenty of scenic observation spots, and the lack of city lights makes for incredible starlight views, especially from the rooftop lounge.

The resort is home to a wonderful array of amenities and sporting activities, including multiple streams and lakes that offer excellent Florida bass fishing, a sporting clay shooting range, trails for hiking and bird watching, and outdoor fireplaces. Take your relaxation to the next level at the grotto-style AcquaPietra spa, where world-class treatments will transport you to a place of tranquility and ultimate refreshment. The crown jewels of Streamsong Resort, though, are the critically acclaimed Streamsong Blue and Streamsong Red golf courses. Renowned golf architects Bill Coore, Ben Crenshaw, and Tom Doak worked simultaneously to create two extraordinary 18-hole golf masterpieces - both of which were specifically designed to be walked and offer the ultimate golfing experience. When it comes to dining, the resort continues its superior offerings with four casual and fine dining venues, as well as multiple bars. Fifty-Nine is Streamsong's elegant steak and seafood restaurant, located in the clubhouse, and serves delectable options for breakfast, lunch and dinner, including a top notch wine list. For contemporary American cuisine in a stylish setting, P2O5 hits the spot with flavorful renditions of classic fare, and the resort's flagship gourmet venue, Sotto Terra, is an experience in fine Italian and intimate personalized service. Toast your fabulous day at the rooftop lounge, and delight in the endless pleasures that Streamsong Resort consistently brings.

Hotel is GREAT,service at all venues is GREAT, not sure who is doing the staff training but they should get an award. Beware this is resort golf, they pack on as many players as possible so a 4.5 hour round would be fast if possible. The courses are not senior or lady friendly. There are some great vistas but most are just reclaimed land that has been pushed around. You get shuttled from hotel to golf course,2 miles, then shuttled to range if you want to hit balls. Food was superb. This would be a good trip for people who wanted to play serious golf ,but you would need to play the courses more than once to know where to hit the ball even with a good caddie. I will return with golf friends, no wives and no seniors.......

Streamsong is out there where 'nowhere' is in sight. Developed over waste / by-product land (a former phosphate strip mine) ... Why do I mention this ? ... well as you create something, you have to bring in the services that aren't here. Upscale is the image Corporate (Mosaic) wants to deliver. So their hotel (they call Lodge) is great. Definitely upscale, pricey a bit but 'out-here' warrants it. Spacious lobby, foyers, passageways. Lovey small gift shop and snack shop. Great outside pool - super enjoyable. ((Some stay at a 2nd building, the Clubhouse.)) Valet service you definitely will / should use. (Bring singles-fives to hand out.). Your car (& golf bags) are left at the entry. You go and register. Shuttle (fast service) there. WiFi yes good and fast. The rooms are spacious too, modern minimalistic, bit firm (that may be a self-concern). Sleeping area separate from sofa area. Nice large bath/shower area. Good and varying types of bath accessories. Night lights and hair dryer. Mini frig, water. Mixed with convention type attendees, there no overrun though. Everyone, staff and guests, friendly. Three eateries. Be aware one may be closed on certain nights. Bar area too. Room service if you're in need. One negative was at reservation time. Crazy it was. Reserving was done by a outside organization. Why I don't know. They pre-charged the stay without telling. No ability to use a gift card we had. We cancelled and several days later re-called and asked for the the hotel directly. Everything at the resort was great, people, place & things but remember you're isolated (workers drive a hour to get there).

If you don't mind being away from well a lot of things to do in the city and just want to relax and play golf on a beautiful but a beast of two courses (3rd opens September) then you will be amazed at this resort. The smile is the great service you will receive from the staff. The "only " slight drawback was the temperature of Club 59 had an AC problem.

Stayed in first week of May, and was upgraded to a two Bedroom, two bath suite. We were on the fourth floor overlooking the pool, water way, golf courses in the distance, just fabulous. Room was very large, three large TV's, tables, chairs, two massive queen beds, great showers, double sinks, large windows, just very comfortable. Free coffee in the lobby, three restaurants. The restaurant in the clubhouse has the best Onion Rings we have ever tasted. WE had lunch there and dinner in the restaurant off the lobby, very good. This is a destination resort, as there is nothing near for miles. Two golf courses are operational now and a third will be up and running in September. There is an infinity pool, hot tubs, spa, skeet shooting, golf, walking, meeting rooms, etc. This place is terrific, not to be missed.

This years site of an annual golf tournament for 16 guys. My experience was excellent! Beautiful land in a natural state. 16'000 acres I was told. Hotel on property was beautiful. Modern and local earthy materials allow this architecture to really shine. Rooms are made up for a couple or 2 friends to share for the trip. We had 8 rooms and all seem to like it. Pool and lake out back are stunning. Roof top bar on 6th floor was nice for nightcaps. Restaurants are pricey but what I expected. $17 basic breakfast for example. $7 for a grab and go breakfast sandwich was good. Shuttle to course 1mile away was always running. 2 courses open now and 3rd this Sep2017. I found the Blue to have tough hilly fast greens. Red was more flat but still some tough putting. All was in great shape. It has little trees since it used to be mining land. It has no houses and you are very much out in nature playing golf. Clubhouse was cool. Staff would get overwhelmed at busy times, but they tried hard. My group organizer had some issues with management, but they were quick to fix the issues and treated us to dinner one night in a great glass room overlooking the pond next to clubhouse. They did a great job to please our group. Great spot for a golf weekend. Quiet, but pretty good spot overall.
