Streamsong Resort in Streamsong, Florida

Far beyond a quintessential golf and spa destination, Streamsong Resort ushers in a new era of luxury in central Florida. Extraordinary is a way of life here. Surrounded by nothing but nature in every direction, Streamsong Resort is situated just under 50 miles southeast of Tampa, enveloped by acres of rolling greens and glittering lakes. The 216-room main lodge houses custom-built guest rooms and suites that are modern and sophisticated, with views extending over the horizon, fostering a true sanctuary vibe. Spaces are no less than 530 square feet in size, and feature floor-to- ceiling windows, walk-in showers, double vanities, and boutique amenities designed to accommodate every detail of your stay. Take advantage of the lodge's complete fitness center and outdoor lakeside pool, or spend some quiet time relaxing in the serene loft/lounge area. Perfectly set with lakes on its sunrise and sunset sides, Streamsong Resort takes full advantage of its splendid setting with plenty of scenic observation spots, and the lack of city lights makes for incredible starlight views, especially from the rooftop lounge.

The resort is home to a wonderful array of amenities and sporting activities, including multiple streams and lakes that offer excellent Florida bass fishing, a sporting clay shooting range, trails for hiking and bird watching, and outdoor fireplaces. Take your relaxation to the next level at the grotto-style AcquaPietra spa, where world-class treatments will transport you to a place of tranquility and ultimate refreshment. The crown jewels of Streamsong Resort, though, are the critically acclaimed Streamsong Blue and Streamsong Red golf courses. Renowned golf architects Bill Coore, Ben Crenshaw, and Tom Doak worked simultaneously to create two extraordinary 18-hole golf masterpieces - both of which were specifically designed to be walked and offer the ultimate golfing experience. When it comes to dining, the resort continues its superior offerings with four casual and fine dining venues, as well as multiple bars. Fifty-Nine is Streamsong's elegant steak and seafood restaurant, located in the clubhouse, and serves delectable options for breakfast, lunch and dinner, including a top notch wine list. For contemporary American cuisine in a stylish setting, P2O5 hits the spot with flavorful renditions of classic fare, and the resort's flagship gourmet venue, Sotto Terra, is an experience in fine Italian and intimate personalized service. Toast your fabulous day at the rooftop lounge, and delight in the endless pleasures that Streamsong Resort consistently brings.

We attended a golf tournament. The pro shop where not the best in fact it was like we were an inconvenience to them. The tournament 2nd round was still playing and all the sprinklers came on. There is one restroom on the whole of the blue course at number 10 so don't get caught out. Totally inconveniently situated. If you don't play golf don't go and if you do be prepared to have your wallet taken advantage of!!!

Hotel is big, very modern and therefore it feels more like an office than a hotel. Personnel was not very friendly and also not very aware about the circumstances across the hotel (eg if pool bar was open, if all restaurants were open). If you don’t come to play golf I would not recommend to stay at the hotel as it is very remote. Spa has 8 different small pools but could not figure out what the difference was except that temperatures differ slightly. Pretty dark spa, you must like the style. Rooms are nice and pretty spacious, no bath though and no minibar. We found the experience pretty disappointing not in the latter due to staff attitude. When we checked out the lady didn’t even bother to ask us if we liked the hotel and the service.

The resort is quite nice. The two (soon to be 3) golf courses are the major attractions. The golf here is awesome. Of course, 100F+ August heat isn't helping... but the golf here seriously rocks. I had read reviews about the resort & golf being great, but food & service being not as great. We didn't have any issues with food or service, but we are only 1.5 days into our 3 day stay. I would suggest if staying at the resort - check out the packages on their website. Some of them are worth it. It was our first time - but we'll be back.

My wife and I have been to Restaurant 59 several times and it has always been excellent. This time Chef Mark came out and spoke to us. He was very nice and he and the entire staff is there to please. We will definitely be back and recommend it highly. There steaks are great quality, very tenter and tasty. The menu has a large variety of choices. From the soup, salad, main course and thru desert, everything was delicious.

A group of us just stayed at the resort on their promotion "Stay and Play18" summer promotion. We were not disappointed. I can always find fault in places somewhere but this resort made it very difficult to do. Here are some highlights: 1. The staff is generally younger and VERY VERY VERY well trained. Nearly all were outgoing and seemed sincerely interested in engaging in a discussion about just about anything and seemed to want to get to know you better. We all felt that. Service was top shelf. 2. The hotel is clean, contemporary, with rooms that everyone in our group raved about. Spacious room split into 2 parts with sitting area and sleeping area, 2 sided TV's, and floor to ceiling windows to go along the high ceiling height. 3. The dining options are numerous. We chose Restaurant 59 because of the steaks and we were pleasantly pleased with their tenderness and the wine selection. 4. The entire property is a case study in land reclamation and turning an ugly scar produced by man into a gem that blends world-class golf with thousands of acres of deer, hawks, and other wildlife that must make the Audubon society quite pleased. 5. The golf course is run like a well-oiled machine with prompt tee times, marshalls galore keeping pace consistent, and caddies that know the course quite well which is huge because there are plenty of blind shots, hills, and undulations. 6. Check in and out was never busy and smooth as can be 7. The only snafu we found was that the resort shuttle service between the resort and the golf lodge was not dependable during our stay. We suggested a review of such might be in their best interest. Otherwise... perfection. In closing, this resort is absolutely 100% in the middle of nowhere and absolutely 100% worth visiting. It is about 1 1/2 hours away from downtown Tampa and perhaps 30 minutes from a convenience store or gas. Suggest bringing your favorite wine or drinks and snacks to perhaps save a little $ and to bridge whatever you buy from them. Summer is MUCH less expensive than Fall/Winter/Spring.
