Acqualina Resort & Spa on the Beach in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida

Acqualina Resort & Spa on the Beach picked an ideal location to pitch its bright red beach loungers and cozy hammocks. Fashion types will delight in the proximity of the Bal Harbour Shops and Aventura Mall, while guests who crave Miami Beach’s neon lights can easily get their nightly fix. The biggest temptation, however, is right at the resort – four pools, including an adults-only oasis flanked by cabanas, offer tranquility that can only be topped by a visit to the Finnish saunas and ice fountains at the award-winning spa.

Claim your shaded lounge chair on a quiet, sugary beach early and fall promptly back to sleep. The sun warms you to the core. Drift in crystal-clear Atlantic water and walk back through lush gardens, stopping to sip on a pineapple-mango smoothie by the pool. Take an afternoon drive to explore Miami’s Art Deco district and return for a plate of rigatoni worth writing home about – to your New York friends still waiting for reservations.

Acqualina is perfect in every way. It is spotlessly clean and modern, from the beach to the workout facilities. The front desk crew was welcoming and helpful - we were given a tour upon arrival after we were offered a refreshing drink. We had breakfast outside each morning and it was delicious - we opted for a la carte rather than the buffet, and our food was perfect. We ate at Il Molino one night - truly delicious and special - not at all a typical hotel restaurant. The beach crew worked hard to make sure everyone was set up and had what they needed. It was nice that they came around a few times offering complimentary small drinks. The only "improvement" I could suggest would be a more creative concierge. There was a male and a female and the female did not seem overly motivated to help us. That being said, however, the male jumped in and our day was perfect. The hotel car was great - we went to the mall on a rainy day and had a great meal there. Overall, we can't wait to come back. The resort is small, exclusive and truly spectacular!!!

I can't say enough about this resort hotel. It is luxurious but also maintains kindness and old-fashioned hospitality by all the staff. Sheena Kaye at the front desk is one of the most charming people I have met. She is kind, helpful and goes beyond limit ensuring the guests are happy. She upgraded our room to an amazing suite with a view to die for, as well as complimentary champagne and strawberries. She even ensured she accommodated our college-aged grandson by making sure he had a private nook. Sara and Conrad made sure we had everything we needed at the beach and the Aquafina food and spa is wonderful. If you want to feel appreciated, special and pampered, this is the place for you!

Me and my husband had our wedding at the acqualina on May 6th. Words can't even describe how perfect it was! There is a reason why this hotel is a 5 diamond hotel. The staff is beyond attentive and make you feel so important and go the extra mile for you. They are truly genuine sweet people. The resort is GORGEOUS! The rooms are amazing with great views of the ocean. It's just something out of a magazine ! The food and drinks are to die for! I'm still craving all the food we ate now! For our wedding They did such a beautiful job there was no stress involved thanks to Jessica Roldan. She went above and beyond for us and did an AMAZING job. She was always in contact with me or my mom I never had to worry about a thing! We were so lucky to have someone like Jessica She is so sweet and is amazing at what she does. I couldn't thank her enough for giving us our dream wedding and for all of the staff at the acqualina! We are already planning to come back next year for our anniversary and cannot wait we miss it so much! This resort will be our new go to spot !!

I received a gift certificate and had never been there before. I checked out the website and selected a package,it was pretty expensive I thought. It was worth every penny($$$$) ! The spa is absolutely beautiful and well maintained, it has every amenity. My massage therapist Dee was fantastic, polite, professional and gave an amazing massage. Kendra gave me a wonderful facial and my skin literally glowed afterwards! They have a private pool and hot tub that you can use and my package included lunch so I ate out there. Lunch was very good too! The only slight disappointment was the sun is shadowed in the afternoon so I didn't get to sun bathe. The relaxation room was calm and comfortable. I did not use the sauna but they had two and an ice bath? The showers were private and spacious. The locker rooms were well supplied with anything you might need to dress and go out into the world. Overall I was incredibly happy and would definitely return.

As close to perfection as I believe we can get in Miami. Gracious service, spotless property, amazing spa and good food. Booked for one night and stayed for five. Every morning stopping by the front desk and begging for "just one more night". They finally kicked us out on day five because the hotel was booked solid or we would have probably stayed longer. Although we live in Florida and are only an hour away, the beach area, the lavish pool area and the spa all make you feel as is you are a thousand miles away. We will return and highly recommend.
