A must stay, but the diamond needs a polish.
This hotel is a treasure: the old warehouse industrial funky architecture, the lofty spaces and generous room sizes, minimalist but cool decoration, great staff and the superb location for city adventures - all are hard to beat.. You really need to stay in this place, it is one of a kind. That said, I was sorry to see the main entrance room has been "domesticated" with timber mock cottage building frames that break up the original sleek vibe wool warehouse vibe. Our room was perfect with views to the bay and Potts Point, however the bathroom really needed detailing and and the taps were dripping. We were there two nights, loved it, but the room and bathroom were not properly cleaned daily or re-stocked for the second night. We were last there in 2013 and were sad to see Ovolo had lost a bit of polish.

Hotel room was tired. Nothing on website says about dogs and we were having breakfast and a dog was allowed in the restaurant jumping up at the table with the food disgusting and staff did nothing didn't even wipe the side, we reported it to reception and was advised they were a dog friendly hotel refused to even talk to me about my concern so I contacted Sydney council health authority who advised that animals should not be allowed in food service areas so staff clearly need education and this complaint would have been avoided if you just bothered to listen to the customer. If you want cleanliness don't stay here the bar and reception furniture is filthy and our bathroom door had hair on it when we arrived and the skirting boards were disgusting, roof blinds also broken so no sleep in for us. Free mini bar only for one don't expect to have a beer/wine together you only get one and the same with the coffee bags supplied only one person allowed coffee. Post stay survey says shiny happy staff but obviously the man at reception and bar staff didn't get that memo. This hotel is at best 3star. Nothing luxurious or indulgent about it. Very disappointed and no response from my feedback which says everything not interested in improving.

Gorgeous hotel great service, amenities galore and location location location
Beautiful hotel in a redone port building. Amazing location close to sites and transportation. Staff was fantastic as was breakfast (healthy and lots of delicious options). Room had lots of space and access to many restaurants on the waterfront. Good fitness center and pool and laundry. Mini bar included. Our favorite hotel so far.

Fantastic hotel with great amenities and in a fabulous location
Great hotel that is in a fantastic location and has loads of extras that other hotel chains don't provide such as free minibar, happy hour drinks and a complimentary candy bar. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the breakfast is delicious. We will definitely be back.

Excellent hotel in a great location, can’t fault it and what made it extra special was the lovely welcome from Rachel at the front desk and Paddy in the cocktail bar. The kids loved the lolly station and free loot bag! Lovely and can’t wait to stay again
