Loved this hotel. So beautiful and so well designed. Was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to one of the pent rooms and that the mini bar fridge was free! Definitely keen to come back here for a night or two for some R&R!

When I booked Ovolo Woolloomooloo, I asked for an early check in, knowing few, if any hotels could accommodate a 6:30 am Sunday morning guest. They said they'd do their best, but also noted they were almost entirely full. When I arrived off a long overnight flight at 6-something am, I was pretty sure I wouldn't have a room. I'd packed a change of clothes and planed to go get some breakfast and coffee and go for a long run to try and stay awake. I thought I'd be fine, but I was nearly in tears I was so tired. The reception staff were very sweet, asked about the flight, offered me breakfast, wifi, gym access, and a place to store my bags. They were trying hard to make my not so great situation better. While I was rummaging through my suitcase looking for a phone charger, someone made an executive decision and decided to upgrade me and let take an empty room before 7am. I was amazed that they did this during high season, for a new customer. They've made me a fan for life Aside from the hotel staff being incredibly nice and human, this is also a fabulous place to stay, as others have said. It has nice touches like a free mini bar, complementary happy hour, snack bag, alexa and apple TV in your room. The rooms have both great design and lots of space and light, something you don't usually see if "hip" hotels. I'm almost always traveling for business, and I'll pick a CBD central and large room most of the time over a well designed room. But this had both. The view over the harbor, proximity to the city and great restaurants as well as great design touches and personalized services has made this my new favorite in Sydney. I can't wait to come back!

We booked a loft room and loved it! The layout was so comfortable and definitely felt like home (1.5 bathrooms, yay!). What really stood out to me was that this hotel included tons of thoughtful extras, even for those who don't book directly through their website: free mini bar restocked daily, tea kettle and coffee maker with restocked supplies, snack pack, great toiletries, comfy robes... It was so convenient and comfortable to stay here. Also, free laundry--though there are only a few washers and dryers, so we did have to wait for other guests to finish up, maybe just our bad luck. The gym was quite small, and was very humid because it wasn't divided from the pool. So if you're a parent who wants to gym while watching your kids swim, that's probably good, but otherwise, you're going to be sweating bullets! We found the location to be pretty good, but we like to walk. There isn't much RIGHT there other than the posh restaurants downstairs, but if you take a ten minute walk through the botanical garden, you're at the Opera House, the ferry station, or a gorgeous public swimming pool. Also ten minutes up a hill gets you to great restaurants like Friggatoria. With all these pluses and a few minuses that we didn't mind (small gym, 10 min walk to most places), we'd absolutely be back.

I absolutely LOVE everything about this hotel. The design, the room, the service, the staff, the food, the freebies, amenities, the ambiance, everything was just amazing. It kinda feels like home, away from home kind of feel (if you have a reallllllyy big house). I was a tad hang-o from my xmas party the night before, so was really looking forward to ANY kind of food. Breakfast was a treat; from bread to fruit to cheese to hipster food, they were scrumptiously delicious. And their personal touch is a bonus too. Definitely staying here again. #it'sayesforme
