What more can I say. This is a fantastic hotel. We have enjoyed our stay. From we were greeted at reception (thank you Ali … excellent service), to an amazing room with a view over the Opera House and Harbour, to a beautiful meal in the restaurant (with I think the best waiter service in all our trip to Oz … James K … what an amazing and talented young man). Thanks also to Louis. I must say the staff generally were fabulous. You will enjoy a stay here. Highly recommended.

Stayed in a corner suite on my most recent stay on a high floor. Ideal location just blocks away from the Opera House and prime tourist locations allowing you to walk to most places throughout downtown. The property seemed to be on the older side although the rooms were comfortable with super comfy King sized beds. The ceilings are on the lower side and the bathroom felt a bit cramped and on the smaller side although it had two sinks, a soaker tub, standing shower and toilet. The property seemed quite busy with meetings and tourists so plan ahead. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Rooms were quiet overall.

Stayed at the Four Seasons with my wife and two sons (4 and 2) for 7 days. First and foremost the location is fantastic. It is walking distance (10 min max) to the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House and right next to The Rocks. Being situated at circular quays also means trains and ferry rides are easy. The staff are overall very nice and helpful. I had a really good experience with Brenda, Nathan, and Lois (or Louis?) all of whom were helpful and charming. Some of the housekeeping could be better though as we sometimes had to wait quite a long time for service (40+ minutes for towels) and we didn’t think our room was vacuumed every day (noticeable when you travel with children). Breakfast was well above average. Pastries were excellent and eggs made to order. Coffee was good too and unlimited. The waiting staff was excellent and really looked after my kids. However a bit more variety would have been better for longer stay families like us. Pool and gym was nice (shout out to the young chap working at the pool bar for making me and my kids the best fresh lemonade we’d ever had). Steam and sauna room at the gym was nice too. The biggest let down was however the hardware (which was been well covered in other reviews already). They could really do with a total make over especially to the bathroom - one small sink and a tiny shower is not quite Four Seasons standard. The staff at this place really helps keep the standards up but you can really tell they are working with quite limited hardware.

This is a luxury hotel in a very convenient part of town for tourists. However, it just didn't feel like the experience you expect from a Four Seasons. The staff were accommodating and nice and were always helpful, that was not the issue. The hotel is large and was a hub for conferences and cruisers and felt a little impersonal, not what you expect from a FS. Additionally, it was past time for the room to be freshened, the veneers were chipped and in order to squeeze in a tub in a tiny bathroom, the shower and vanity were ludicrously small. Do these things sound trivial? Sure, but FS has set expectations high and they usually deliver. Additionally, they claim to have a spa, but it a series of treatment rooms, so call it that. They are nice, but this is not a spa.

Over the past 50 years we have visited 80 countries and stayed in so many hotels, I'm often asked which are my favourite hotels. I don't have to contemplate this question, one clear winner is The Four Seasons Sydney. Why? Position, position, position. It is seriously convenient, and highlights the great attractions of such a beautiful city and waking up in the morning you cannot only see the world famous Harbour Bridge, the Opera House and the beautiful harbour. It is therefore not surprising the staff are not only well trained and highly professional, and they too are a bunch of seriously happy chappys. I'll be back as soon as I can.
