I used my FHR credit for our stay. The vast majority of the stay was remarkable from days before I arrived to finish except for a couple things. The hotel diligently contacted me with a number of questions relating to the purpose of my stay, preferences, any information I thought they should be made aware and anticipated arrival time. As with FHR benefits, noon check-in is a perk - subject to availability. Carol and Noemie hit it out of the park when they scoured their computer to find us a room. In doing so, they also upgraded us to a Premier Partial Harbour Room on the top floor. To top it off, they were a ton of fun to talk with. Thanks guys! One of the setbacks (a minor one at that), was the 18-22ish bellhop who, shall we say was less enthused to do his job and IMO very, ummm, out of it. The room featured a living room with half bath, large sofa and desk, mini bar area and large TV. The bedroom with an ensuite bathroom featured adequate storage for a 5-7 night stay for 2 people, marble bath and shower with an area to sit if you wish. The robes are thick and plush. Bath products are supplied by Grown Alchemist. Four Seasons Hotels are known for the comfort of their beds, and this stay was no exception. The bedding and pillows were extremely comfortable. The room was very clean. The decor is decidedly understated. There were minor areas that shown the furniture's age, but nothing that really stood out. I did, however, find the safe door particularly annoying when it clanked against the wardrobe door. We've been to Grain, the bar on ground level, a few times and offer the quality, innovative cocktails that you would expect in a Four Seasons. IMO, the music is too loud. Shortly thereafter, my partner and a friend went to dinner at Mode, also on ground level. Our waiter (forgive me for not catching his name) was incredibly good at his job. Professional, knew the menu well, offered suggestions without being pushy and check-in with us just the right amount. Second thing that rocked the waters. The 3 of us were actually just about to finish dinner when an employee came to our table, advised that the restaurant had been hired for the night and we needed to vacate the restaurant immediately. Obviously, the 3 of us looked at each other wondered if that had actually happened. That was just rude. I spoke to her (she avoided eye contact - rude...again - and I suggested the next time they have a circumstance like that to kindly inform diners of time constraints as they checked-in for their meal. With exception to her and the bellhop, the staff were outstanding. That continued with Audrey at breakfast, which was also served in Mode, Service was incredibly attentive and there was no shortage in the variety of food on offer. With exception to the bellhop and staff member in Mode, this was a stay worth the price point. Compared to the other 5* closest to it (which I used to love) and even the 5* property on the water with rooms that almost always fetch $1300/night, I found The Four Seasons to be on or above part with the latter.

Absolutely cannot fault anything about our stay here! Service was incredibly friendly and professional. Room was so comfy, we were so lucky to have been given a room with a view of the opera house, such an iconic view! The gym is the best I've seen in a hotel, plenty of equipment including new machines and great variety of free weights. We didn't eat in the restaurant but had room service twice which was delicious. Amazing location, everything very walkable or easy to get to on the train and trams. We are looking forward to coming back next time!

The staff were all amazing. We arrived very early in the morning and our room wasn’t ready so they gave us access to the spa changing rooms to shower and our room was ready before 10am which was very appreciated. Whilst the room itself wasn’t amazing, it had everything you needed with a very comfy bed and the hotel is in a great location. We didn’t get breakfast in the hotel as it was $60 pp and there are so many lovely cafes very close by to get breakfast and it was less than half the price of the hotel breakfast.

What more can I say. This is a fantastic hotel. We have enjoyed our stay. From we were greeted at reception (thank you Ali … excellent service), to an amazing room with a view over the Opera House and Harbour, to a beautiful meal in the restaurant (with I think the best waiter service in all our trip to Oz … James K … what an amazing and talented young man). Thanks also to Louis. I must say the staff generally were fabulous. You will enjoy a stay here. Highly recommended.

Stayed in a corner suite on my most recent stay on a high floor. Ideal location just blocks away from the Opera House and prime tourist locations allowing you to walk to most places throughout downtown. The property seemed to be on the older side although the rooms were comfortable with super comfy King sized beds. The ceilings are on the lower side and the bathroom felt a bit cramped and on the smaller side although it had two sinks, a soaker tub, standing shower and toilet. The property seemed quite busy with meetings and tourists so plan ahead. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Rooms were quiet overall.
