The Four Seasons Hotel in Circular Quay is very centrally located and right in the hub of a vibrant restaurant / bar scene. We stayed in a partial harbour view room and it was exceptionally clean, equipped with everything to make it a comfortable stay (slippers, robes, hair dryer, iron, Nespresso machine etc). The room was cleaned each day and the hotel itself was extremely well presented and clean. There is a restaurant and bar on site as well as an outdoor pool and gym. The only negative was the fact that our room was opposite a service room and the door opened and shut constantly making a bang each time. A soft close door for the service room would make the world of difference! We will stay here again and thought it was good value for money.

An old hotel that barely shows its age, located on Circular Quay and the main thoroughfare, George St. An ideal base for the Rocks, the Opera House and pretty much all you want to see in the City. The bedrooms are well appointed and our harbour view was lovely, though the room was small. Service is good and the place gets busy, but overall you get what you pay for!

Great location in Circular Quay, close to the tourist hotspots of the Opera House, Harbour Bridge and the Rocks. A couple of minute walk to the Circular Quay train station. The rooms are well maintained and clean, comfy beds, good a/c, bathrooms are clean with separate bath and shower. Have stayed here many times and service is consistently good each time.

This hotel has a lot of positives! Firstly the location as others have said is excellent. It’s a 10 minute walk to the opera house and surrounding attractions and you can catch the light rail 3 mins away to get to multiple inner city locations including the Sydney Cricket Ground. Service is also very good - reception quick and efficient, any housekeeping needs arrive promptly, room cleaned early and very well, lots of complimentary water etc. Gym is well-equipped, Coffee shop in foyer was appreciated, room service is prompt, they do go out of the way to try and make sure you have a trouble free stay. On the negative, dinner in the restaurant was average, a limited menu and tables and seating so close together we were all most touching shoulders with the couple next to us. You can hear the train, traffic etc which is the price you pay for the location, it’s only a dull background sound (not loud) but it’s noticeable at night time. We found the beds too soft - understand it’s a preference thing but mattresses were not to the standard of other hotels at the same price point. A desk and chair would also have been nice - there was a small round table with a stool and a bench, far from ideal for using a laptop. Finally there was a musty smell in the hall way, again not terrible but should have been dealt with. The hotel charges at the high end so I think it’s fair to expect 5 star standards.

In all fairness average to above par. But it’s a Four Seasons for goodness sakes! Other than the location and the Concierge (Jeremy?) it’s overpriced for what it is and does not merit a Four Seasons Label. Rooms minuscule, offensively minuscule in fact. It gives off a Crowne Plaza vibe. Pool ridiculously small, in fact everything is crammed in there and you can’t relax and stretch out. What I will comment on positively is the breakfast. Well done and I abhor buffets.
