Four Seasons Hotel Sydney

In all fairness average to above par. But it’s a Four Seasons for goodness sakes! Other than the location and the Concierge (Jeremy?) it’s overpriced for what it is and does not merit a Four Seasons Label. Rooms minuscule, offensively minuscule in fact. It gives off a Crowne Plaza vibe. Pool ridiculously small, in fact everything is crammed in there and you can’t relax and stretch out. What I will comment on positively is the breakfast. Well done and I abhor buffets.

This is a high quality hotel in a great location, a very short walk from Circular Quay and The Rocks. We had two separate short stays. During the first, we had an incredible view of Circular Quay - including the Opera House and Harbour Bridge - and we had a larger room with city views on the second stay. Both rooms were very comfortable with all the usual amenities. The hotel had a gym, outdoor swimming pool and restaurant/ cafe in the lobby plus business and conference facilities. The staff were excellent throughout.

The slightly dated exterior in the Sydney skyline houses a great, well-run hotel. The lobby and rooms themselves were pleasant and modern. Fast elevators. Great location very close to Circular Quay trains and ferries. But I must highlight three standout attributes: 1. The breakfast is not just good, it is epic. The best breakfast foods from around the globe: United Kingdom, Asia, US, Mediterranean, Australia all in one place. Did I consider moving my flight just so I could have breakfast one more time? Yes, although I talked myself out of it. Standouts included the baba ganoush and bread pudding pastry. 2. I booked with Chase CSR “the Edit” program and the perks were great: the aforementioned breakfast, $100 restaurant and bar credit, a nice bottle of wine to welcome us, and an upgraded room view. 3. Great service from everyone we encountered. Energetic, young, professional, welcoming. I feel like I should list individual names, but it was really every person we interacted with. All aspects exceeded expectations and I’m so glad I chose to stay here.

Overall, we had a great stay. Location is great, staff is beyond spectacular, and food wonderful. What I would expect from a Four Seasons. Only negative is the size of standard rooms; be careful when booking. Definitely not up to other Four Seasons standards. While rooms are maintained well and luxurious, they are too small. We did get moved after a few days and what a difference! Shout out to Lorenzo for making the stay terrific.

A wonderful time at The Four Seasons, wonderful rooms, amazing chambermaid, bed sooo comfortable and all in a minute's walk from Circular Quay.
