Reviews for Four Seasons Hotel Sydney
Four Seasons is one of my favourite hotel chains ever. This one needs an upgrade seriously though. It somehow lacks the “four seasons spirit” evident at other four seasons properties I have visited before. Paris, Jakarta, Singapore, Hong Kong, Bangkok, etc. However, it still is a magnificent property. Small rooms though, kind of squashy. I stayed at the corner room, which provides a magnificent view of the Sydney Harbour. The facilities are wonderful, the gym, restaurants and bar are elite and serves excellent, tailor-made food and cocktails. Breakfast? Amazing! Yes, I would definitely come back.

I booked a room for myself and one for my employee for the same evening. I paid the same amount for both and booked the same type of room. I was very disappointed that my employee was provided with an Executive Suite and I a standard suite. The only difference between us is that he is male and I am not and there is no other distinguishing factor which would result in this inconsistent treatment.
This is the fourth time we stay here for our vacation , we stay their Premier Partial Habour King Room this time and also 32Lounge. Their lounge has been renovation , so everything is nice and new. Their staff are so nice and helpful as usual. Every evening they provides snacks , hot food and drinks. The environment is excellent, everyone must come and enjoy their sunset during evening. But actually their alcoholic drinks are charged if before 5pm and there is no any notice to mention about this. So that would be great if they can put a notice for it to prevent misunderstandings when we come. Anyway their staff explained this to us politely. Our room is Premier Partial Habour , so we could see the firework at opera house on Sunday night which was amazing for us coz at that time we were having our room service. Please imagine how wonderful was it if you could having your dinner and watching firework at the same time. BTW, their room service is also impressive for us, delicious and fast. we stayed there and ordered their room service every night , sandwiches , risotto and Asian food all are fabulous! But they do not have many choices of room service food actually so we hope they can provide more choices in the future.
room is comfortable and well laid out, desk for working and great drawers and wardrobe although woodgrain is dark and showing a bit of wear. Marble bathroom with lots of good lighting but no drawers which seems to be the trend these days, everything on the vanity top which annoys me. Rooms are small for this level of Hotel however ok for 1 person could be a squeeze for 2 if you stay in the room alot. TV was large but the brightness too high, couldn't be fixed although someone did come to see and address my query which was really good. If they fix the broadcast to give better contrast it is a fabulous TV. Room service was great, quick and makes you feel very special, mini bar well stocked although didn't use much of it, restaurant is also good but ask if you have food allergies or intolerance as the menu doesn't highlight anything suitable. Breakfast is a la carte which is a bonus in these 5 star hotel so you don't pay for stuff you aren't eating. One of the the most comfortable beds in Sydney, I have a bad back and slept really well. Rooms are quiet can't hear much between them. There are lots of roadsworks in Sydney especially around circular Quay at present but transport and taxis still manage. Great location to ferries, bus, train and shops in The Rocks and restaurants and cafes. Its an expensive hotel, service good but could do with lightening up, very dark inside woodgrain in rooms and low lighting makes it dark. Furnishings and bed are up to date though.

Location is great, overall room was clean but old bathroom spoils the whole experience of top hotel. As Four Seasons suppose to be one of the best hotel chains around, I don't see rooms being particularly at the standard of Four Seasons. Overall was good but not a great value for money.
