Reviews for Sofitel Sydney Wentworth
Twice I was here and twice I was enticed! Love the front lobby with the huge chandelier. The staffs here are really friendly and helpful, especially the guys who helped with the guest's luggages and suitcases. Overall, staffs here are really kind. This is quite surprising for me because usually with each two days or so traveling in a different hotels or resort I would prefer a room with at least a view to look out but this time round, there is one room in this hotel which is pretty much in the corner. My room was in 1760. I exceptionally love this "triangle' room. Love the bathroom, the lightings and how cozy the room is. To be very honest, for those who is here for holiday or expect a great view, unfortunately this room do not offer one because it is facing the back of the hotel and it covered with another part of the hotel so there is hardly no view at all. I am on a work travel so I do not need much of view since 3/4 of the time I will be sleeping so this room is perfect for those who wants to sleep in. I barely have 24 hours spent in this room so this is bliss. The only downside is when I switched on the tv, all the channels were so grainy, hardly bearable to watch anything. Like probably this room is truly for those who is spending his/her time to sleep or be out and about of the hotel. Otherwise, I really enjoyed my stay here. I also secretly wish that on my second trip back from Christchurch to Sydney that the I was given this room and I am not disappointed. This hotel reads my mind. I also heard breakfast was great from other colleagues but I cannot say so for myself as I am always out for breakfast. Then again, worth to check it out probably next time.
Plumbing or air conditioning loud all night Room was musty from mould Tea bags in room did not include regular tea At breakfast seat was given away to another guest while visiting buffet. No view from tiny window. Weird French greetings by staff
Had a lovely stay recently. The staff were very attentive, great breakfast and the location was perfect for some sight seeing and shopping, would definitely book here again. Though right in the centre of the city, the hotel is quiet and we had a great sleep.

The Sofitel Wentworth, is a nice classy hotel. Check in was a breeze, rooms are nice and tidy. Bathrooms are made out of marble which has a nice feel to it. Great roomy restaurant, however menu/food was average. No pool, which is a shame for a hotel of this size. Would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Sydney. Great last minute rate as well.

Despite the exterior of the building, the rooms are quite modern, although definitely on the smaller side. Food is excellent, particularly breakfast. Very good location. Ask for a room away from the lifts as they can be quite noisy. Otherwise no issues.
