As an Accor member, our check-in was incredibly smooth. We were upgraded without asking and had a room on the upper floor. Fantastic, quiet and superbly clean. We attended the Temptations show. The staff again were efficient, obliging and incredibly professional even though catering for such a large crowd. every person at our table was having a great time and every request was catered for quickly. The lifts are very quick as well. Breakfast was delicious with great service once again. A large selection of food and juices. Excellent coffee! We were very impressed with our whole stay.

Another stay at the beautiful Wentworth, and I was quite happy with my experience Great friendly and helpful staff from the concierge ,reception desk to the bar , restaurant and club lounge. The bar has had some changes since I was there last and is looking good it is very cosy and comfortable and has a good menu for food and drinks. My room as usual was comfortable. The club lounge was such a pleasure to experience with its tasteful and intimate surroundings and drinks and canopies and of course a great breakfast

I’ve been in better 2 star hotels. This place looks pretty spectacular in photos but it was a huge let down when opening the room door. Very tired decor. Difficult to flush the toilet as flusher was on a odd angle. Shower cubicle ceiling was disgusting and full of mould. I complained and they seemed shocked but mould doesnt happen over night. A work colleague was staying there and ironically she is a mould expert. She was disgusted in my photos. I was given a “much better room” apparently but that was underwhelming as well. For the price, I’d expect better.

Room was typical Sofitel, neat, tidy but tired. I upgraded to a larger room which was nice but i still feel disappointed almost every time I stay at a Sofitel. May be something to do with my age, mid 40's, but i have lost faith with the Sofitel and have become a very loyal Pullman devotee. The Conference venue was sound, but not outstanding, the big gala dinner was again sound but not amazing. Oddities like very small main serves, but a very large very expensive wedge of blue vein cheese as part of desert. I do not think Sofitel really gives better service, or better amenities and still lacks a feel of luxury today, but it certainly used to.
