Reviews for Le Taha'a Island Resort & Spa

Rustic luxury

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

We spent two nights at Le Taha'a and would have loved to stay indefinitely. We were in a lovely overwater bungalow with a gorgeous view and rustic and nautical touches. The staff were great. Buffet breakfasts were ample and good. The pool area was spacious and inviting, with a small swim-up bar. There is a gorgeous coral garden just off the motu, great for seeing beautiful fish. There are two main restaurants, but only one was open while we were there (the other one opened for the season a few nights later). The restaurant and attached bar were open-air and gorgeous. The best thing we ate was a rich coconut risotto flavored with pineapple. One night, dinner was followed by a fun Polynesian music-and-fire dance show, featuring Tattoo, a memorable performer. The concierge helped us book a very interesting half-day tour with Hereman aTours of a pearl farm, a vanilla farm, and a rum distillery on the island of Taha'a (the resort is on a motu a short boat ride from the island of Taha'a) . This resort is quieter than Le Bora Bora by Pearl Resorts but every bit as gorgeous and even more relaxing. Tattoo serenaded us when we were leaving the resort, and the manager came to wish everyone goodbye -- and he really seemed sad to see us go. I know we were!

Exquisite experience!

Best vacation, best resort we've ever experienced, bar none. Incredibly gracious staff who exceed expectations at every opportunity. There was a surprise bottle of champagne in our overwater bungalow when we arrived; the porter showed us every feature of the accommodations: the see-through floors in the bedroom and alongside the bathtub were exquisite, both in the daytime but especially at night. We would absolutely recommend booking the overwater bungalow - you will not be disappointed. There were fresh flowers everywhere through the bungalow and the view from the bed was magnificent: the entire wall facing the lagoon was one giant window. Every single member of the staff provided impeccable service. This is a small resort and it was only perhaps at 50% capacity when we were there, so it felt extra special and intimate. One afternoon, we received a call because we had forgotten to book a time in the a la carte restaurant: it was the resort manager who was calling us. Incredible. The food was incredible at every single meal. Of note was our one dinner in the Tipairua gourmet / gourmand restaurant. As chance would have it, we were the only diners booked in that night and our 5-course meal turned into something even more extraordinary: the dishes just kept coming out. The chef and, especially, our server, Annaliesa (sp?), were amazing. Such a special experience we will remember for a long time. We loved snorkeling through the coral garden - such a treat! Bring a mask & snorkel!

Perfect❤️

Wow! I don't have enough words to describe how much PERFECT it was. Every single thing in the resort, they thought of everything, even things we didn't expect or thought we needed. (Like the: ley and hey when we arrived, the decorations in our room- flowers, champagne, personal thank you note. The resting room between the time of our check out to the airport transfer, the gift before we left and many more) The staff was Amazing! Everyone- the manager that was always present and checked that everything OK, the receptionists, the team that took us from the airport and back, that took care of our luggage, in the restaurants and bars, activities and concierge desk, shops. Every single one of them is wow. The service was above and beyond. The facilities were very good. The room was Amazing- big, spacious, clean, comfort bed, shower and bath, the deck, so calming with a beautiful view. The food at the breakfast, Restaurant, bars and room service was perfect (I'm vegetarian and I had many choices and they were very good!) Unfortunately, we didn't do spa because it was all booked (so my advice- order in advance🙂). We did a canoe breakfast, it was (again) perfect experience, they brought the breakfast to the room in a canoe and while they prepared it on our table at the deck they took us on a short "cruise" on the lagoon in the canoe. There was so much food, we couldn't even finish half of it. And it was so delicious! For conclusion- we've been in 3 pearl resorts in Polynesia (tahiti, taha'a and bora bora) this one stole our heart. 5 stars it's not enough for this resort. We didn't want to leave😔 Very very recommended! Don't miss this resort, it's the BEST! THANK YOU for making our honeymoon unforgettable, hope to come back soon❤️

A truly magical place!

A truly magical experience! We booked our Bora Bora Honeymoon with Pacific For Less and were extremely impressed with the knowledge, level of expertise, support, and guidance they provided in making our dreams come to life. We started in Tahaa at Le Taha's by Pearl Resorts and instantly fell in love with how quaint, intimate, homey, and authentic this place was! From the service, to the water, the snorkelling, coral reef gardens, the food, the people we met, the clean and beautiful overwater bungalows, the level of detail, attention, and pure love and kindness from all the staff was so uniquely special. You feel so much romance, peace, and tranquility here. Thank you to all the staff at Le Taha'a and the team at Pacific for Less for bringing our dream honeymoon to life.....we are already brainstorming when we can go back!

Heaven on Earth!

This is my 2nd review for this resort. I had a bad experience with one of the staff but really appreciate the manager reaching out to us and apologizing. This place is so magical and beautiful that it deserves a wonderful review. It is amazing and a place you envision in your dreams. We came here for our 30th Anniversary and would be thrilled to return.
