This summer we went to Sicily and stayed in the Ashbee Hotel. We needed 3 rooms and all rooms were nicely funished. My husband and I stayed in a Junior Suite which was really great, it had a huge terrace with a nice view. The hotel is very nice, we love the interior and the ambiance. The staff is kind and the service is top. The location can not be beaten because you walk right up to the center of Taormina. The only thing is that the swimmingpool is a little small, and the sunbeds and the guests all together is a little crowded. But it's very beautiful, the view from the swimmingpool is amazing, very nice to take pictures there!

Everything about this hotel was fabulous . The location , the rooms , the staff (really superb) . The attention to detail was faultless. There was a good choice of breakfast . As it was late in the year ( and the weather was really wet) the bar on the upstairs terrace was not opened, however drinks were beautifully served in the elegant lobby. The hotel restaurant was fantastic - food was beautifully presented with some challenging combinations to get our heads round. It was truly wonderful. Lunch by the pool has a limited menu - but all very fresh. Beverages were reasonably priced for a hotel of this calibre. Already booked to return.

This hotel is lovely. The public areas are beautiful and include an amazing view of the sea and the coastline. The rooms are very nicely appointed, with nice linens, nice amenities and great bathtub/shower. The location is superb. It is walking distance to the shopping area, restaurants, town square, etc. We walked into town each nite for dinner, gelato and shopping. They have live music in many places as well so the nightlife is very good. We visisted Siracusa and Mt Etna while staying at the Ashbee so the location again is quite central. The beach of course is very close as well. The infinity pool overlooks the ocean so not much complaining there. The staff is wonderful and so helpful with making plans and taking good care of their guests. Free wifi, but spotty st times. I cannot think of any negatives really. You pay 25.00 euros per day to park a car, they serve breakfast on the rooftop and you can either chose to dine at their gourmet restaurant for dinner or walk outside to the many trattoria's located in the shopping district. Beautiful place.

We spent a fabulous 2 week stay here earlier this summer. I really don't understand any of the negative comments on here about the food, accommodation or the prices. Sleep quality was superb, food was exquisite and service from everyone we came across was top notch. Others on here seem to think it is reasonable to stay in a 5 star hotel on 2 star budget. We will definitely be back.It was a fantastic break in a stunning location. Thank you to all of the great staff.

As has been stated in other reviews, this is all about LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. A very nice property just a few hundred metres from the main drive of Taormina. The staff were very friendly and very helpful on restaurant recommendations. It is expensive for what you get but that is Taormina all over (for example, try buying a glass of wine for 18 euros at the Grand Belmont hotel where the patio seats give a great view Etna ). So you have to look at this hotel in the light of other hotels in the same area ....and then you have that great breakfast and pool view !!
