Reviews for NH Collection Taormina
The NH Collection - Taormina, Sicily is a PERFECT 10+. The Best of Everything. BELLISSIMO. If they would sell me the Presidential Suite that I stayed in I would write the check immediately. Thank you to all the NH Collection Staff for making us feel at home and treating us like family. A very special thanks to Flavia and her housekeeping crew for treating my wife and I like a King and Queen for our entire stay. They kept my Suite in immaculate condition around the clock. Simply amazing. Grazie Mille Flavia. This place understands the meaning of Hospitality. We will be back very very soon.

There are some positives but also some negatives. I travel a lot and always stay in 4 or 5 star hotels. This hotel bills itself as a 5 star but it really doesn't live up to that. We stayed for 8 nights. Positives: Location is perfect. Just a few minutes down hill to the Corso Umberto, overlooks the sea, the Odeon, Taormina in general. The staff is extremely friendly. Absolutely all of them. We had a problem with our air conditioner not working and it was resolved pretty quickly. I paid for the upgraded room with a balcony and it did not disappoint. Great shower with good water pressure. Negatives: Housekeeping forgot to leave bath towels during one day and on several days did not leave water for the coffee machine. The bed is very uncomfortable but the sheet quality is excellent. The furniture is scuffed, they really need to do touch up work on this. The balconies have black mold on them and really need to be power washed. The room only had one very small trash can which did not have a bin liner. When I unplugged my cell phone charger the entire wall socket fell into my hand. Breakfast was well below expectations. It's a small selection, it's understaffed and they take forever to renew the buffet. Every day we ate there it seemed like half of it needed to be replaced. Also, the toaster did not work. Neutral: It's not the fault of the hotel and most of Italy is going this way but you will need to pay 5 Euros per person per night in what they are calling a "city tax". Umm, and that's cash only by the way. Overall, luxury travelers can find a better place.

Chose this hotel principally on the back of TA reviews and the upper lounge terrace. Sadly the terrace was out of action, which we were not aware of, but this was more than compensated by a room upgrade. Hotel is beautifully decorated, rooms are spacious and there is plenty storage space. Pool area is lovely with loungers and chairs surrounding it - expect some traffic noise as you see in the middle of the town. The spa also looked good but we did not use it. Breakfast was perhaps a little frantic, but a la carte was great value. Definitely order the (free) freshly squeezed orange rather than pouring from the jugs available from the buffet. Staff throughout the hotel were excellent and rooms kept spotless. We asked Alessandro to recommend some places for a drink in the evening - his recommendations were excellent. We had a couple of cocktails every night at Daiquiri every night - highly recommend a visit! All in all a wonderful stay in a really special town.

This is a very comfortable contemporary hotel, with good in-room facilities and no noise from adjoining rooms or outside. It has well laid-out facilities - spa, small gym, pool and lounge area. The sea views are amazing, we woke up each morning to the view of the Greek theatre and the amazing back-drop of Taormina. The buffet breakfast is amazing, just about anything to suit all palates and the local delicacies are delicious, the dining room was relaxed and well serviced throughout our stay. Little jewels in the NH Taormina crown are definitely the staff. We were made most welcome by all of the staff, and I do mean all the staff, whether it was helping us to plan our sightseeing day trips or the housekeeping or restaurant and bar staff they are all so happy and friendly and we felt like welcome guests. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Taormina. Our stay was 25th-29th April and the weather was perfect, neither too hot or cold beautiful sunny day's and we are glad we had gone at this time because in higher season it would be very hot and uncomfortable when getting around. Do bare in mind that the area is very hilly and if you have mobility issues then this may be a problem for you. It's less than 5 minutes walk to the town centre, which has a huge selection of fine restaurants and bars, many located down the characterful back streets. There is a 10 minute walk to the cable car station, which takes you down to the picturesque beach of Isola Bella. Also 10 minutes walk, is the main bus station, where you can take a bus ride to many of the historic and picturesque towns and villages in the area. The Greek theatre is a must see. Thank you to everyone at NH Taormina for making our stay just perfect.
We stayed in these great location Hotel in TAormina for our visit. The hotel is just a few steps away from the city center has a garage for car (extra). The rooms are excelent the breakfast buffet also. The pool etc. and the staff always willing to help
