Cape Kidnappers is outstanding and one of the world best resort. Charming and luxurious rooms. Great golf course with great views. Food and service outstanding. You feel to be in a private club. A must for all golfers. It is part of 3 Resorts in NZ and I recommend to go to the 3 of them although the Matakauri one needs a face lift.

From start to finish, the FARM was perfection. From the moment you arrive at the gate til you leave the property, I'm not sure I've ever stayed at a place that quite simply achieves perfection in every area. Before arriving at the FARM, we spent 4 nights at the LODGE at Kauri Cliffs and weren't sure anyone could meet, let alone exceed, their level of excellence. The views, the setting, the golf course, the activities, the service, the staff, the accommodations, even the pool, offer you an immense array of activities to keep you occupied the entire time you are there. The food is simply the freshest I have ever eaten. Every meal, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, was delicious. Summit was one of the kindest, most soft spoken and efficient people we have encountered in all of our travels. He seemed to know our needs before we did and every suggestion he made to us (excursions etc) could not have turned out better. We rode the ATV and visited the gannet colony, we did the kiwi excursion and got to see and pet the precious kiwi. We hiked a beautiful trail and played a magnificent golf course. We will compare every where we go from now on to these properties! Excellence indeed!

This property is simply one of the very best that I have ever stayed at. You could go down the list from service to meals to housekeeping to the spa to the golfing and everything would be five star in my book. The staff is unfailingly knowledgeable and solisitous. In fact, the somnier was particularly helpful to me in procuring a special bottle for a friend. The views from the beautiful rooms are absolutely spectacular. The grounds are massive and very private. For a (high) price, you can take an off-road, guided tour of the area, including the ganet nesting area. This property is by no means inexpensive, but in this case, you really do get what you pay for.

Drift wood, galvanised steel and up cycled furniture set the scene for an elegant indulgent yet comfortable experience. Staff were remarkable. Matt low key , attentive , took time out to take me to the gardens, nothing too much trouble, Summit, gentle and so efficient. Juliet , wonderful. The list goes on. They were the best staff I’ve ever encountered. Food was amazing. Ambience conducive to turning off. Small things like room always tidied , throughout the day. Fridge replenished as well. Felt very nurtured. Golf also amazing, so much in the area but the course was stunning.

My wife and I stayed at the Cape for three nights in mid-January. We had just come from Huka Lodge, so our impressions about the Cape we're somewhat colored by that experience. We loved the cozy feel at Huka and the Cape is all about expansive, airy views given it's location on the coast. The Cape's suites are nice to be certain however. The Cape's cuisine is first rate, but having said that we would rate Huka's as even better. We did enjoy the area quite a bit, and I'm sure if we were golfers we'd probably rate the Cape as a better place.
