Four of us came to Temecula and can't wait to come back. It is beautiful and delicious food and wine. We stayed in a villa at South Coast Winery and it was wonderful, clean, the villas were roomy with a wonderful shower. Beds were comfortable. Only wish they didn't have carpet, although the carpet looked new, I love hardwoods, they seem less dusty.

Fabulous resort, spacious rooms, delicious food, and great wine. Our time there was a lot of fun, even with the rain....

My partner and I stayed here for Valentine's Day weekend, and had an overall negative experience. At check in, we were assigned a room that did not meet our reservation requests (which we had called to confirm well in advance). Later at the restaurant (Vineyard Rose), we encountered a hostess that was both unhelpful and dismissive. What she had estimated to be a 10 minute wait for outdoor seating, resulted in a 40+ minutes wait, only to be told (after the fact) that outdoor tables were no longer available. In both cases, staff made no attempt to address the situation. We understand that it was a busy weekend and don't expect perfect hospitality at all times. But the poor communication and overall lack of consideration for the guest experience is what we cannot accept. This type of service may be adequate for casual travelers (perhaps bachelor/bachelorette groups), but those looking to enjoy a relaxing and romantic getaway with a loved one would be best advised to stay elsewhere.

The rooms here were fine, they could use more blankets and the pillows were awful. But the real disappointment was the restaurant - they could not seat our large party and separated us into 2 separate sections, the asst manager Krystal saying that one waiter could not wait on all of us or take our orders at the same time because it would overwhelm the kitchen. Oddly, they put us in 2 different sections - adults at one table and the kids across the room - but the SAME waiter waited on us and took our orders AT THE SAME TIME anyway. When we confronted Krystal about this, she had no reasonable explanation and had trouble articulating because she had no justifiable reason for her claims! The restaurant was very sparse by the way, tons of room! Very disappointing to not have a resolution or any inkling of customer service to make our dining experience more enjoyable. To top it off, the food was subpar, steaks overcooked and bland and the waiter did not even pour our wine for us - and this is a winery for godsakes!!! They could see how unhappy and frustrated we were and they made zero attempt to make our dining experience pleasant. No apology, no complimentary glass of wine or dessert - nothing. Would not recommend this establishment or service to anyone.

What a great trip! This hotel is right in the middle of SoCal wine country - a perfect location. The villas are so nice, and perfect for a relaxing, low-key weekend getaway. The food was excellent and the spa was so nice, and very accommodating. And then there is the wine - surprisingly good! Altogether a great long weekend.
