Atmosphere pleasant. Grounds beautiful! Food tasty in Vineyard Rose restaurant. Jazz concert excellent! We have visited 5 times so far always to attend a concert!

This property and the vineyards are well maintained. If you are going for an overnight stay or longer, I recommend staying in the private villas throughout the property. They do have a main tower hotel, but we love the private villas. The vineyard restaurant which is located across the vineyards is amazing. If you are a hotel guest, shuttles will take you anywhere you wanna go on the property. If you don't want to walk or have mobility issues. Just dail (0).

The location was beautiful. The views were beautiful. We had a villa and the patio looked out onto the vineyard giving us marvellous views each morning and evening as we sat outside. The room itself could have done with some modernisation. It was a bit dark and out-dated. However, all was clean and in order. Sadly we weren't around often enough to access all the amenities (it was a very busy holiday), but they looked lovely. The most fabulous thing about this place - and I can't say this more highly about them, is the staff. They were wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble and nothing was too much out of their way. They were just fantastic. A massive thank you for making our stay to every single one of you.

We really love SCW for its location, food and spa and staff. We had an issue with the air conditioning which can NOT be lowered below 68 and the room was warm. We kept the fan on which helped but seriously, AC should work great and the rooms cool

Our stay at South Coast Winery Resort & Spa was extremely disappointing, but the most serious issue was a major guest privacy and security failure. At check-in, 3 of our 6 room keys did not work, and we had to return to the front desk 5 separate times for assistance. What should have been a simple process became frustrating and completely unprofessional. Then something happened that is absolutely unacceptable: we accidentally went to the wrong room, and thought the hotel-issued key unlocked the door to another occupied guest room. I opened the door and walked in on complete strangers. Later management said it wasn’t the key that the guest of that room may have not closed the door right. That the doors don’t always shut correctly. Which was even more concerning because first what are the odds we walk right into a room that didn’t close there door right and does that mean all doors don’t close correctly?? This is far more than a minor inconvenience. Imagine being inside your room and having a stranger suddenly and walk in. This raises serious concerns about the hotel’s key-control system, guest privacy, and security procedures. Management needs to investigate this immediately. Unfortunately, the problems continued. At the pool, despite large groups of more than 20 people, we repeatedly had to ask for towels. Staff would only bring out 2–4 towels at a time, which was completely inadequate. The lobby restrooms near the tasting room also had an extremely foul odor that was impossible to ignore. Dinner at Vineyard Rose was another disappointment. Our group waited far too long to place our order, and several people were unhappy with the short rib entrée. We were the last part with little to no other people dining there. While some of these issues could be considered service problems, the room-key incident is a completely different level of concern. Guests should be able to trust that their room is private and secure. After this experience, we did not feel that way. For a resort of this caliber, we expected professionalism, organization, and basic guest safety. Instead, we experienced repeated service failures and a potentially serious security breach. We would not stay here again and cannot recommend this resort. Management needs to take the room-key issue especially seriously before another guest’s privacy or safety is compromised.
