Thatch Caye Resort

We had the most wonderful time at Thatch Caye. From the moment we arrived we were treated like family. The entire staff was exceptional but I especially want to call out Dennis, Shakira, and Jesica. Truly a special trip.

We came for our honeymoon, and it couldn’t have been better! Exactly what we wanted. We got one of the private bungalows, and we loved walking down the island to join for meals. My favorite part of staying here was the community you build up during your stay. We got to know other guests, we got to know the island dogs. Just a few of the names of people who worked there to make it amazing! Shakira and Jesica the servers, Luis and Jackson the island managers, Denis, Erwin, and Junior the bartenders, Danny the chef!! Darvin and Marlon our snorkel adventure team!

Staff was amazing and the food was out of this world. The chef went above and beyond for all the guests. Top tier food and service.

I took my family for 9 days & had one of the best family vacations i have ever had. The staff at this resort sets it apart from anywhere else I have been. When you walk into the lobby you see thier Michelin star. The chef is Danny is amazing. We would come back to tye resort with fresh caught seafood & he would turn it into art. I loved hanging out with him & learning how he makes such amazing food. Danny sent me home with a jar of homemade peper sauce he made just for me! Make sure you bring pepto with you because you will find yourself over feed every day. The 2 servers were Shakira & Jessica. I can not thank them enough for the outstanding service. My family will miss these two amazing girls. At the bar we had Erwin & Dennis. I have never seen 2 bar tenders work so hard & constantly turn out amazing drinks. You don't get drinks like this anywhere else. My son absolutely loved these 2 guys. They spent time talking with him about thier Mayan culture and he just loved it. Lastly when you come its a must to book a lobster hunt with Darwin. He is so chilled out & one of the best guides i have ever went with. He had Young kids with him on a charter & was amazing getting them on a pile of lobsters.

Entire experience outstanding. Did Island Crawl and River cruise. ALL Employees exceptional. Do not know names but the men who raked seaweed worked very very hard. And Shakira Jessica, King Lui, Darvin, River cruise Boat Captain, Bar attendant inside lounge and water cabana and Hydo.
