We hosted our Prema Vanda yoga retreat at Muy'Ono Thatch Caye Resort, and it exceeded every expectation. This is a truly special place — ideal for families, couples, and groups, with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. What stood out most was the exceptional staff. They didn’t just provide great service — they offered heartfelt hospitality. They anticipated our needs before we even voiced them, supported our retreat schedule with grace, and made every participant feel like royalty. Their warmth created a sense of home for our entire group. The kitchen team went above and beyond to honor dietary preferences and restrictions, offering delicious meals that made everyone feel included. We also loved the resort’s eco‑conscious values and their participation in Pack for a Purpose, which donates school supplies to local children. It’s clear that this resort cares deeply about both the environment and the community. Our retreat was transformative, and Muy'Ono Thatch Caye played a huge role in that. I wholeheartedly recommend this resort to anyone seeking beauty, connection, and genuine Belizean hospitality.

Thatch Caye brought a new level of relaxation and hospitality to our travel repertoire! All of the staff go above and beyond to know you by name and respond to every need. The resort is advertised as rustic and that is true. The bungalows are great, but no water access and they face the windy, choppy side of the island so not a great environment for hanging out on your patio. There is also a terrible smell walking towards and between the bungalows from the seaweed coming in. AC tries to keep up but plan to be warm, even at night. The cave tubing, chocolate tasting, and jungle hike excursion was not as advertised. We were not told in advance that there is no river tubing during dry season so had to go with the flow. We hiked to an underwhelming waterfall instead and the transportation included an unplanned 90 minute stop where we weren’t sure what was happening. Food was okay - fish was usually over cooked, but they did try to use fresh ingredients. Be prepared to eat a lot of snapper! We missed access to food variety and timing options. Massages are fantastic!! Lagoon is nice, but no shaded areas and the walk in is a bit squishy and gross. Overall, we would recommend it as it did provide for a super relaxed environment but was missing a few elements to make it shine brighter. Thank you to all of the staff that made our stay incredible.

I went there for our little honeymoon, and the place was great, we stayed in a bungalow over water, very nice place super comfy bed and nice decoration, of course the view is the best with a hammock in our balcony, they did a nice decoration for us, they had a sparkling wine bottle in our room, Jackson and Logan are the best. The place offers a lot of tours and activities that you can do (free and paid), all the meals were included and all of them were incredibly delicious, the chef is from another planet !!! I extremely recommend to do some massage over there, ask for Noelia (if I remember well) she is the best. This place is 100% awesome !!!

5/5 Stars: An Unforgettable, Soul-Soothing Anniversary in Paradise If you are wondering whether a week in paradise can fundamentally soften you and remind you that peace is the greatest thing we can possess, the answer is a resounding yes. We chose Thatch Caye to celebrate our anniversary, and it was absolute perfection. The island has a way of slowing time down, allowing you to become even more gentle and in-tune with the person who is already your best friend. The Staff & Island Vibe I cannot say enough good things about the people here. The entire island staff was beyond wonderful, incredibly friendly, and always down for a great conversation. Huge shoutouts to **Dennis, Shakira, Irvin, Jessica, Action Jackson, and Louis**—you all made us feel so welcome and cared for! On top of the stellar service, the food was absolutely amazing throughout our entire stay. Seamless Excursions & Natural Beauty Booking excursions was incredibly easy. The natural beauty of Belize is indescribable, made even better by our fantastic crew. Our boat captain, **Hydor**, and our snorkel tour guide, **Darvin**, were both phenomenal. We did the deep-water snorkeling at the Belize Barrier Reef and took a magical bioluminescent tour. Both are absolute must-dos. Thatch Caye gave us the perfect blend of romance, adventure, and deep, restorative peace. I definitely will be back!
