Paradise!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 7 hours ago

My husband and I had the immense pleasure of staying here in August 2026. This truly felt like a dream paradise island. As the resort can accommodate 30 guests and we had 15 in our group (with 5-6 other guests on the island as it is slow season), it truly felt as if this was our own private escape (and it was also fun to welcome the other guests into the mix, such as during meals and karaoke). While the surroundings are so beautiful and well cared for, it truly was the INCREDIBLE STAFF who made our visit particularly pleasant and peaceful. Shout out to resort director Jackson for his professionalism, orientation to details, and congenial personality. Another shout out to servers Logan, Dennis, and Jessica for their care, friendliness, and helpfulness. Many thanks to the extremely talented Chef Danny for all of our absolutely delicious meals, beautifully crafted daily menus, and willingness to make various dietary accommodations throughout each day. Ralphie was our expert lobster diving guide, and he was so kind, helpful, and had a great sense of humor! Another shout out to the boat captains and crew, Reginaldo and Captain Hydo, who put us at ease during our rides to and from the island and to go off island for excursions. Last but certainly not least, huge shout out to island bartender Junior! Junior immediately put our group at ease, was friendly and attentive, and always creative with his expertly crafted cocktails. He truly made each sunset happy hour so much fun, and this was a highlight of our stay. Additionally, the staff actually learned EACH of our names, which truly lent a special personalized touch. The resort is so fortunate to have such a winning crew, and we were so sad not only to leave this beautiful island (all the kayaking, snorkeling, fishing, paddle boarding you could imagine), but to leave such a delightful team. Feeling immense gratitude for my unforgettable stay and HIGHLY recommend to others.

Unforgettable Experience

Our trip to Belize for a yoga retreat was truly unforgettable, and so much of that was because of the incredible people who made our stay so special. A huge thank you to Jackson, Junior, Logan, Dennis, and Danny for making us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. We came for a yoga retreat hoping to relax, recharge, connect, and enjoy everything Belize has to offer—and we got so much more than we could have imagined. The staff was absolutely amazing—so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely caring. It honestly felt less like staying at a resort and more like visiting family. Everyone went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and make our experience special. There was so much to do and enjoy outside of our yoga sessions, from kayaking, snorkeling, and paddleboarding to relaxing on the gorgeous grounds and enjoying happy hours with Junior! 🍹 The food was delicious, the drinks were amazing, and Danny made every meal feel extra special. The beautiful grounds, peaceful surroundings, incredible food, refreshing drinks, and wonderful staff created the perfect setting for our yoga retreat. It was the perfect combination of relaxation, adventure, wellness, and fun. We came for a yoga retreat and left with incredible memories and new friends. ❤️🇧🇿🌴 We will definitely be back!

Absolutely incredible!!

Truly, what an unforgettable experience! Thank you so much to the amazing staff and breathtaking island for welcoming us and making our stay here so magical. The island is so beautiful and full of opportunities to slow down and connect with your surroundings. Ditch your phones and your shoes, and enjoy clear and calm water full of starfish. Snorkeling, paddle boarding, kayaking are all at your fingertips. Go fishing or lobster hunting in the morning, and for dinner you'll be enjoying your catch prepared with such care and flavors, you'll be coming back for seconds. The staff deserve their own shout out. Jackson, Junior, Danny, Logan, thank you so so much for making us feel so welcome and so well taken care of. It honestly felt like we were staying with an extended family and that made our stay extra special. You went above and beyond, and we cannot thank you enough! (Marley and Piko, you were the best island dogs) I can go on and on about how amazing this place was, but you need to live it to believe it. I can't wait to be back <3

Amazing service, tired property

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

The staff was phenomenal (except maybe manager who looked grumpy and didn't really greet anyone?) but special shout out to Junior, Dennis, and most especially Shakira who always saved a low table for me since my ankle is a bit off. The location was stunning, super quiet and if you wanted privacy, you had it! Though we were dubious of the family style dinner, it ended up being our favorite part! The food was like a magician was making it, and we were so impressed by each meal. There were rays, sea stars, sea fans, and nurse sharks right there by the island that you could see from the walk way or snorkeling, though the snorkeling was a little marred by the algae covering so much of the reef and rock area. The room was perfect, over the water, with a comfortable bed, lovely shower with hot water if you wanted, balcony with hammock, and the AC worked perfectly for afternoon naps. We saw so many stars at night, and the thunderstorms in the distance kept us entertained for hours into the evening. The pictures on the site are dated, and don't expect them to match. At a first blush, the place looks spectacular, but as you settle in and actually see details, it lands a little flat. The island is eroding in many areas, and the sargassum was overwhelming (completely overtaking the area under our bungalow and absolutely rank by day 3 in the sun, baking). The whole island seems tired. The ocean pool is not nearly as clear as pictures suggest, and the fence is no longer in existence, instead having been replaced by rocks, which are covered in algae. The wood is sun bleached to the point of splintering in spaces, the stairs to the bar in the lagoon had a soft spot that sagged under my steps and I lost my footing on, and the rooms had some bits and pieces that just hadn't been repaired like parts of the art frame having fallen off and the shower leaking. There are places where you can see the decorative parts of the fence around the bungalows are missing with screws just sticking out where the wood used to be affixed. It feels like repairs and investment in the gorgeous property has been neglected. This is not at all a dig at the staff-- they were absolute gems. Grounds workers constantly working, the tour guides (we had Darvin!) and massage therapists were absolutely top notch, and I've already said about the chef, bartender, and Shakira (Shakira is amazing!). This feels like an owner or management issue, and it's frankly a tragedy. Overall, for the price, it seemed a bit tired. Again, the service was completely amazing, but we wished the rest of the property reflected that amazing service.
