What makes this resort so very special is the staff! Of course, the secluded island destination with bungalows over the water is a huge plus! Snorkeling with Raphi was the highlight of our honeymoon. Being greeted by Shakira, Logan and Jessica every day was heart-warming. Junior, Erwin, and Dennis really made it extra special with their humor and thoughtfulness behind the bar. The groundskeepers did an amazing job keeping the island spotless! Oh, and last but not least, Marley and Pica, the island dogs, provided us with furry hugs and kisses on days when we missed our own fur babies. Our honeymoon was a dream come true because of this phenomenal staff!

We had the best time at Thatch Caye. It was our honeymoon and we couldn’t have picked a better place. Special thanks to Rafi, Hydo, Logan, Jessica, Jackson, Dennis, Junior, Luis and Erwin for making our stay so special. The food was delicious and we had the best time exploring. The snorkeling, fishing and lobster hunting was world class. We hope we can come back!

Truly amazing from beginning to end! The excursions were unforgettable, the staff was fantastic, and it was the perfect blend of exhilarating and relaxing. I came back having felt like I had been on an adventure but still somehow rested and refreshed. Special shout-outs: Jackson at the front desk: knew absolutely everything about everything. Attentive, helpful, and always a joy to talk to. Denis, the bartender: went above and beyond not just in making every drink, but in making them beautiful. He also didn't just leave them at the bar when he was done making them. When they were ready, he brought them out to where ever me and my partner were. Stellar service. Shakira, the server: always a genuine smile on her face, legit brightening up where ever she was. And she was always there right there when you needed her, truly pro-active about her service. Danny, the cook: every meal was a feast, but if I or my partner had a special request, he made it happen, no questions asked. Every meal impressed. Logan, the server: not just great service, but great conversation. Fascinating insights about the island and surrounding cultures. Great sense of humor, too. Marisha, the scuba guide: I had never gone scuba diving before so, honestly, I was pretty nervous. Marisha's introductory lessons were easy to understand, quick to put into practice, and after just a minute or two in the water, I was a natural. Shout-out to Marisha for acknowledging my nervousness and coming through on her promise that it'll pass quickly. Darvin, our lobster hunt guide: friendly, patient, knowledgable, and playful. He helped my partner and I spot and catch two lobsters and two crabs, and the kitchen was happy to cook them up for us to eat that night. Best lobster of my life! Charlie: Marisha's and Darvin's first mate during the scuba and lobster hunting excursions. Also very knowledgable and super funny! Really felt like he, Darvin, and Marisha enjoyed working together. Great group, great dynamic. If I didn't name them here, that doesn't mean they weren't great. Again, everyone was absolutely awesome. Literally, no notes. Other highlights: our room was super comfortable with great A/C and our own little private hammock on the roof. Loved that they had a "Flintstones" gym on the beach so I could stay active. Bikes available at any time to explore the island, no need to sign them out or check in or anything - if you saw one, it was up for grabs. My partner and I got massages, which were amazing. Loved that everyone had the option to either eat by themselves or join a big group table to get to know the other guests. One night, we all played "Heads Up" together. Another night, a round of karaoke broke out. Unexpected and super fun! All in all, this was exactly the escape my partner and I needed. We'll remember Thatch Caye forever :)

Absolutely love this place. This was our 4th time coming here. The staff was amazing! Pablo and Raphie are amazing. If you’re looking for experience these are the guys. They have become family. Jackson, Junior, Shakira, Dennis, Pablo and Logan took good care of us! Not but not least my personal tour guide, body guard and roommate Marley I will miss you! See you again hopefully soon. Denise, Jackson, Jr., Darwin and many more of the staff were extremely helpful, kind, and very attentive. I even tried bringing Jackson home with me to introduce him to my daughter as he would be a great addition in our family. Excellent staff and excellent Island! A must for a relaxing fun time.
