I spend a lot of time at this resort. They offer 2 golf courses which are nice northern Michigan layouts. The mountain biking is fun and the hills are hard! The paddling nearby on the Betsie River is as good as it gets in Michigan They offer live music throughout the year. The 4th of July and New Years Eve have fireworks over the mountain. The skiing is top notch and well groomed. They have new lifts and a well run ski area. Only a 30 minute ride to Sleeping Bear Dunes and the lakeside town of Frankfort. Highly recommended.

We stayed in the new building in fantastic room!! Ate at the Thistle restaurant twice which was delicious!! Everything was clean, great service by everyone we encountered and they were very attentive to any and all our needs. We had a fireplace in our room as well as a full kitchen, heated floors in the bathroom and towel bar which was such a treat!!! It even had an adorable little nook for a child to sleep as well as lots of beautiful children's books. In the building I noticed great play area for kids as well (we don't have children ourselves but lots of nieces and nephews).

Nice place to golf and other amenities such as the spa. A little pricey though. Not many options close by to eat at so eating on the resort property is your best choice unless you don't mind driving 45 minutes or more. The little betsie bistro onsite is your best value. Just pizza and large sandwiches/subs, but at reasonable prices and the food has good flavor. Don't buy anything from the little convenience store though, it is VERY expensive, example $3 for a 20oz Soda. Your better off leaving the resort for a three minute ride to the gas station/store just south of the resort.

Stayed one night in a three bed two bath cabin for a conference and was very impressed. It was very clean and spacious and we had a man made brook with waterfall one step from our back deck. The staff was great and our cabin was cleaned by midday. Will absolutely stay here again.

This is a cute, cozy resort for couple, families or groups. It is surrounded by trees and of course those ski hills. Great skiing for beginner to avid. Cute bungalow homes to stay in as well as the hotels suites. Food on site for busy seasons. Feels like the old Bavarian villages long ago.
