what an awesome experience at Crystal mountain. Clean, awesome places to eat, the grounds are beautiful, the spa services are heavenly, the staff are awesome! highly recommended! it is also a ski resort in the winter. They also have places that you can purchase as timeshare type homes. They have lots of activities for children.

Crystal Mountain is a lovely place and typically has a lot of fun activities. Tonight though we drove quite a way for their Spooky Walk for Halloween. The lift took me and my 5 year old to the top for the non-scary Spooky Walk, while my husband and daughter went up for the Haunted trail walk. The children's walk was literally a walk down a pitch dark mountainside. There looked to be about 40 dollars worth of Halloween decorations on the way down, if that. A few places had a few strands of light. There was one very well used blown up spider and maybe ten small ghosts hanging from a tree. At some point you got on a hayride (pulled behind a hotel van) to go back down near the end. My son was excited and thought the Spooky walk was finally going to begin (instead of being over) when we got not he wagon Ugh. We had a nice dinner in the Thistle after, but there's just too many fun things to do at Halloween to waste one of the holiday weekends nights on this Spooky Walk.

L-O-V-E the modern-mountain design aesthetic of the newly renovated Inn at Crystal Mountain. Our room featured an oversized window with a view of the mountain and a chairlift operating in October for a view of the fall colors from on top of the mountain. The bathroom was stunning with a deep soak tub, rain shower, heated floor tiles and towel warmers. We also loved the lavender-mint body wash and lotion and also appreciate the environmentally friendly high-efficiency plumbing and energy. One new-construction kink was the water temperature, which did not get quite hot enough during a shower or bath. As frequent visitors of Spa at Crystal Mountain, we have come to expect their top-notch services, organic products and a relaxing lounge by the fire or at the outdoor hot tub. Unfortunately, this past weekend was over-booked to the point where there was no room to even sit in the lounge or hot tub. Hopefully, an anomaly. Or, perhaps an expansion plan is being considered? Still loved our massages and my manicure by Jennifer remains flawless nearly a week out. We really appreciate all of the exciting new developments at Crystal and are looking forward to experiencing the new rooftop garden, coffee bistro and wine bar set to open later this year.

Stopped in on a girls weekend for massages. Was a wonderful experience. Staff was kind and professional. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of service given. Highly recommend a trip to Crystal Mountain.

I spend a lot of time at this resort. They offer 2 golf courses which are nice northern Michigan layouts. The mountain biking is fun and the hills are hard! The paddling nearby on the Betsie River is as good as it gets in Michigan They offer live music throughout the year. The 4th of July and New Years Eve have fireworks over the mountain. The skiing is top notch and well groomed. They have new lifts and a well run ski area. Only a 30 minute ride to Sleeping Bear Dunes and the lakeside town of Frankfort. Highly recommended.
