My husband and I took our two boys skiing to this resort last month and it was wonderful. We didn’t have great weather but they maintained the grooming very well. We stayed at the Crystal Mountain condos on top of the mountain and the ski out ability was fantastic. We were very happy to have access to this resorts indoor pool and hot tub. One of my favorite parts of this resort is a very nicely appointed fitness center, I was able to get my steps in on the treadmill and also lift weights for a while just like I would back home while my boys went skiing. We will definitely come back for another ski trip, we are even thinking about coming this summer because it looks like there’s a lot of stuff going on during off ski season. There are many places to purchase snacks or groceries right at the Crystal Mountain community. We were here for three days but didn’t feel like it was long enough to discover everything this resort has to offer.

Crystal spa continues to exceed every expectation. It starts with the amazing organic product line by Eminence, which is expertly applied by skilled estheticians like Katarina. Recently, I upgraded to the Oxygen facial and the results were incredible – I glowed for days. Request Louis for your massage if you want a little more intensity where your body holds stress and pure relaxation for the rest. Love this place and feel so lucky to be close enough to enjoy it often. Outdoor hot tub is great. Champagne? Yes, please!

Great stay. Nice being able to ski right out front of the hotel. Restaurant at Kinlochen was pricey but good. Was surprised by how nice the resort was. Greta for families. Lots of different level of hill.

We have visited Crystal Mountain several times over the years, most recently staying in January 2018. We have stayed in large groups of friends, as a couple and as a family with a child; staying in multiple properties throughout the resort. What we love: The amenities- - The SPA - the Crystal Spa is by far the best spa I have ever visited including spas from all over the world in some of the top spa destinations. Crystal Spa has clearly used a thoughtful design approach, inclusive of leading environmental practices that are exceptional. I have never had a negative experience at the spa and I have been many times. - The Restaurants - a lot of choices for a smaller resort property, and they offer some great choices like the Thistle Pub which serves great food in a really nice upscale-ish atmosphere. - Small shops throughout the village - which offer an array of different options like clothing, goods, wine, gifts, etc. - The MANY recreational activities, skiing, horse drawn carriages, bonfires, snowshoeing, swimming, and SO MUCH MORE Overall this property has so much to offer and is a really family friendly resort. It is also constantly changing and growing which is really fun when you come back year after year. There are so many choices with lodging, it seems there is something for everyone, from high end suites with spa inspired bathrooms to entire mountain top homes that can accommodate large extended families/friends. We have stayed at other ski resort properties in Michigan over the years as well and have found Crystal Mountain to be much nicer, more upscale with a greater attention to detail than other comparable resorts. Note: during our most recent stay we had a bit of a disappointing experience in the Inn at the Mountain top when we checked into our room and found dirty clothes from the previous guests and a room that was not fully cleaned. We had to speak to a manager after we made several calls to remedy the issue that went unanswered. The manager finally sent up a cleaning staff member and gave us a very small discount, which did not make up for the cleaning issue. When we are spending over $1000 at a resort for a couple of nights, and we encounter dirty underwear from the previous guest in our supposedly "cleaned" room, a $60 discount just does not make up for the negative experience. I hope this is an anomaly, but we found the housekeeping services to be drastically lacking throughout our stay. In addition, the manager seemed annoyed that we were complaining and did not seem like she cared much about our complaint. This was really almost more disappointing, if I owned or managed a resort, I would be horrified and embarrassed if a guest found a past guests dirty underwear and a dirty room upon check in. The cleaning issue aside, we enjoyed our stay and found the room to be comfortable and spacious. The spa like bathroom was really a nice touch! We will definitely be back to Crystal in the future, and hope that our one issue isn't a sign of things to come for this resort property that we have adored for years.

We had a blast at Crystal Mountain! Nice ski resort outside of Traverse City. Good amount of varied terrain, there is something for everyone. Everyone as very friendly, the food in the lodge was very good. Nice ski shop. Lines move very fast at the lifts. Can't wait to come back next season!
