We spent two nights in the Pinehurst condos. It was a one bedroom condo that had been recently updated. Very well-appointed and the service was excellent. There is one on-site restaurant that has good food. There is a market that serves beverages, pizza, salads and sandwiches. And there's a wonderful Spa, pool and workout facility. I would come back to Crystal Mountain Resort.

Had a wonderful time swimming and working out! The staff was amazing and answered all of our questions! Then we went to dinner at the Thistle-wonderful!! Just love that they use so many Michigan made items on their menu!!

I don't ski anymore so can't comment on in-season experiences, but off-season it's a fabulous place for a spa weekend. We had a lovely room with kitchenette which made snacking and breakfast easier. The spa was incredible. They run specials occasionally and give discounts to locals! LOVE this place.

This was our first time at Crystal Mountain, and our first time skiing as a family. (We have three boys 6yrs, and twins at 4.5yrs) Besides the reviews I read, I wasn't sure what to expect from the resort or the overall experience... and when dealing with young boys who have never skied, I went in with low expectations! The good news is that I have to say I was blown away by this trip! And here's why: 1. The resort itself is a perfect size. Everything is walkable and closeby. 2. The staff was amazing. This includes the hotel staff, restaurant staff, ski instructors, and even the chair lift staff! Even the guy working the ski store was extremely helpful with getting us some last minute ski supplies. 3. It is very family friendly. There were so many activities for kids there, and ways to make it enjoyable for everyone. We took advantage of ski lessons for our kids, which were GREAT, morning childcare at their Adventure lodge, movie rentals, complimentary breakfast for the boys, and their complementary marshmallows at the nightly bonfire. And the boys loved every minute of it! 4. The food was delicious! We ate at their two main restaurants as well as their bistro. All three had different and great selections, and they didn't disappoint. 5. The slopes were perfect. Unfortunately, we went during their last week of skiing so only 64% of the runs were open, but still, they were great. The green slopes were perfect for our beginning skiers, and by day three, we were able to get them down the blues. They were perfect size slopes for our family. The only thing I would warn people about is not to use your debit card as the "holding card" during your stay. The bank took out our daily spending even though I hadn't made the final payment yet, which I was going to do on my credit card. Other than that, I don't have one complaint for our stay and spring break. I highly recommend the trip here, and I guarantee we'll be back!

So I've decided to write another review because we have been many times and have stayed at many different locations. We've stayed at (from most expensive to least expensive) Mountain top (sleeps 10), Cottages (sleeps 6-9), Kinlochen(sleeps up to 8), Inn at the Mountain (sleeps 4), and Hamlet(sleeps 4). My favorite by far are the cottages. We love #315, Cattail. It's a stand alone house. Location is perfect and it's not loud. Hamlet is nice for a quick ski weekend, but try to get 1st or second floor as there is no elevator. It's just a hotel room. Mountain top is great but away from the main area. (But they have their own pool!) Our most recent stay was the kinlochen. Great location for skiing, but I do still prefer the cottages over kinlochen as you don't feel you are in a hotel and we had a problem with people above us pounding on the floor early in the morning. Just my opinion. They vary greatly in price and time of year. We love Crystal!!! Don't miss it! So much for families to do and great staff!
