About the Hotel

Spectacular and centrally located, ANA InterContinental Tokyo embodies the city’s glitz and glamour. The districts of Akasaka, Ginza, Kasumigasek and Roppongi surround this mega-hotel, and inside is a miniature city in itself. A shopping arcade contains boutiques ranging from imported high fashion to Japanese antiques, and the selection of restaurants is delectable: In addition to Michelin two-starred fine dining, there’s a steakhouse, made-to-order sushi joint, champagne bar, and an intimate Japanese dining experience in private tatami rooms overlooking a garden and lily pond. Spa treatments follow a menu developed by leading Finnish aromatherapist Ulla-Maija Grace.

A wonderful Intercontinental in Tokyo

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 21 hours ago

We had a wonderful trip to the ANA Intercontinental in May 2024. Overall the service is what you would expect at an Intercontinental with the staff being highly-attentive with a great attention to service and detail. We stayed twice after spending a few days outside Tokyo during our trip. As members of the Ambassador program, we were offered an upgrade on the room we booked, to one that was recently-renovated. For our second stay we opted for a club room, which was also upgraded to a King room. Both rooms were comfortable and clean with no defects, with the Club King having more luxurious touches vs the standard renovated room. The renovated room was well thought out with an efficient use of space, and a comfortable bathroom with a separate shower/tub room and sliding door entrance. I liked this layout slightly more vs the Club room which had a smaller bathroom with an awkward swing door that made it hard to share the space with my partner. A highlight for us was the club lounge. With sweeping views of the city, the club lounge included a generous breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening cocktails. After a week of travelling, I thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere for cocktails and nibbles. There was enough food that we didn’t need to go for a separate dinner and instead used the time to walk around and explore more of the city.

A great stay in Tokyo

Hands down the best stay I’ve had in a long time! The newly renovated rooms are so comfortable and the amenities are wonderful! Netflix, Apple TV and other streaming options on the large screen tv are a fabulous option when wanting to stay in. The blackout curtains are the BEST and really black out any and all light from coming in. The deep bathtub was perfect for a soaking, relaxing bath. Loved listening to my music on the Bluetooth speaker in the room. Super close to the train station so you can get anywhere you need to in no time. The staff was friendly, inviting and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel when staying in Tokyo.

Exceptional Hotel With Amazing Staff

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Second marvellous stay at the Ana Intercontinental. Clean spacious Kaze suite, well recommended., which comes with club lounge access. Everything there is perfect, the selection of food is abundant and high quality. The staff in the club lounge couldn’t be more helpful. They are always welcoming and friendly. All of the staff , from the waiting staff to the chefs, were amazing, I’m sorry I don’t know their names, but would like to thank them for their hard work. One of the ladies in the club lounge, again I’m sorry I don’t know her name, remembered us from last year and welcomed us back. It is quite incredible with all the people who must pass through each year, she should remember us. Like all of the staff we were very happy with her service. Every day we saw Monina Okada who was so lovely and welcomed us every morning with her lovely smile. She was always interested in our trip. She and her colleagues are an asset to the hotel and make us want to keep returning. I would Also like to thank housekeeping for their hard work in keeping the rooms spotless. It is so sad to leave but we are hoping to return again next year. Now we have found the Ana Intercontinental we will not stay anywhere else.

Outstanding staff and service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

The staff are wonderful, especially in the Club Lounge. I appreciated the fabulous service of Monina Okada, who solved my problems with such finesse, and so promptly! Staying at this hotel is a lovely luxurious place to be. So many hotels, post pandemic, have let their standards slide either due to staff shortages, or the need to increase profits. But at this Intercontinental, the whole experience, either in the room, Club Lounge or restaurants was an enjoyable experience.

Just a lovely place to be in a good location

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We stayed for 3 nights and this hotel was just excellent. The staff were so lovely and the place itself is well located and well kept. If you book I highly recommend paying the extra and getting a club room. The staff (shout out to Yasuyo) were fantastic and the food/drinks great quality.
