Reviews for The Capitol Hotel Tokyu
Fantastic hotel with excellent rooms and views of the city. The bed was enormous and comfortable. Extra pillows in the hidden cupboard were a nice find, no pillow menu though. The shower was amazing, beautiful drip free rainforest shower with excellent pressure, massive bathtub too. Many areas of the hotel are child free as well making the stay even better. Staff were friendly and accommodating too. Excellent gym at this hotel as well, plenty of cardio, weights and bench press. The subway is under the hotel making travel to and from the location a breeze (if you don't get lost in the subway station like we did a few times).

APR 13, we stayed for 7 nights. This hotel has a great location. Connected to subway (4 lines), has 7/11 & a café where you can grab a quick bite. Our room (2617) located in floor 26 has an amazing view. Spacious comparing to other hotels in Tokyo. Has a sitting area & desk. Bathroom is of open area style with toilet separated by door. Has tub & standing shower facilities. Well organized. Has mini bar, nespresso & tea/coffee amenities. The service was amazing. They've attended all our requests especially the concierge. Definitely staying in this hotel next time to visit Tokyo.

Not much more to add to the other reviews. Relatively large modern rooms with nice touches (whole room hi-fi), excellent bathrooms and showers, attentive service. Do try the excellent buffet breakfast as well.

Great hotel in a central location of Tokyo. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. The subway is conveniently located right below the hotel. For people visiting only for a few days, the subway is a great way to get around and see the entire city. Easy to use as well. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer.

Normally I do not make reviews but in this case I think it is relevant and in particular for those travelling with children. I am a frequent traveler with at least 100 days yearly staying at high-end 5-star hotels worldwide. We were actually all looking forward to visit The Capitol Hotel. However impressions were somewhat mixed – and we would not return to the hotel again, and for families travelling with children this hotel will disappoint you – I think it is fair to state that this also the ambition of the hotel management as they have a lots of rules excluding children from all of the services they have as the pool, the library bar etc. and they are having absolute no alternatives or willingness to make a good stay for your children. They are not very clear on their homepage and don't expect any flexibility. We wanted to give our daughter of 8 years a plate of lasagna from the Library Bar where we had access due to the Club rooms we stayed in. Nobody where in the bar (we were the only people there) – but we were not allowed to be there for 5 minutes to give her some food – nor would they allow us to bring a plate with food to our room. When talking to reception about the matter they repeated their rules and showed absolutely no understanding for our questions. I found the people working at the hotel polite but at the same time absolute none-caring, incorporative and striped for kindness. We stayed at the Club floor (27th and up). Rooms were spacious and the view great. Beds was good but furniture’s were definitely somewhat old, overused out and needed to be changed. Bathroom was great. Food; we only managed to have dinner and breakfast at the origami restaurant (the japaneser restuarant was always booked or they did not want us there with children never figurered it out). Food was oaky in Origami (but not more) whereas prices was rather high and you can get better value elsewhere – either just as good food but at substantial lower price or really good food at same price. In particular breakfast seemed to be a challenge for the hotel. All four mornings the food buffet was half empty most of the time and you had to wait long time for refill of basic stuff as fruits, milk, muffins, cereals, cheese, eggs, plates, juice - just to mentioned a few. Location is fairly okay, they governmental area is somewhat quiet/less interesting but the hotel is located on top of the underground so you have easy access to transport. In conclusion; only go there without children or on business and eat somewhere else. Not sure I value it as a five star compare to the experience I have from my other trips.
