Reviews for Hotel New Otani Tokyo, "The Main"
check in went smoothly with no problem, rooms were spacious with a tradition feel which was nice. the big let down for this hotel was that the swimming pool which is on site is not available to guests to use unless they pay Ā£30per guest per day, which is an extortionate amount to charge. the hotel was very expensive to eat in, 2x coffee and 2x cake came to just under Ā£30, that said it is a large complex The japanese gardens are beutiful to walk around and is a very tranquil place. There is not much to do around the hotel area, but there are 2 train stations with a 15 min walk into central Tokyo

Stayed for 4 nights. Rooms are big for Japanese hotels and well appointed. The tablet in the room provides a lot of information which was handy. The Gardens are seriously amazing and worth spending some time in. The staff and service is excellent. They will do anything to help you. Bed was comfy and there were an assortment of pillows to find something comfortable. Breakfast is pretty good in both the tower and the garden. Hotel breakfast prices of course, try and get a deal which includes breakfast. It is a little walk to the nearest subway (10 mins) that is about the only small downside. Saying that, the chuo line is one of the best in Tokyo to get you anywhere. I will stay there again.

This is one of the bigger hotel chain in Japan and few larger hotel in Tokyo. Was here for business conference and this I choose to stay for the week. Hotel is made up of. 3 large hotel- new Otani towers, Otani Orchard and Otani courts. There are nearly 37 eateries around the compound. There is a stop by the basement of New Otani Towers that pick up passengers to the airport. Suggest you check with hotel on availability. I didnāt have the right time slot for limo bus from Haneda airport to hotel. So took a cab / taxi ) instead. Room is standard international size. Bigger than the typical Japanese hotel. Full amenities in the room. In fact, I like the one time used bath towel and the bath crystal. They provide 2 bottles of still water each day. However, suggest you walk over to the New Otani court , level 2 convenience store to grab more water if you drink a lot. Meals in hotel is expensive. Be prepared. Internet access is slow most of the time. Overall, it is still good business hotel to stay.

Good service, friendly staff, very clean. Several good restaurants. Located in a nice area. Underground is only a 5 minute walk from the hotel and there is plenty of good shopping places in the nearby area

A really lovely hotel with excellent facilities in a perfect location. Made to feel so welcome by the staff. Only point of note, it is so large it does take a little longer than you think to get from one part to the other, wait for lifts etc.
