This is a very smart hotel with great facilities. Perhaps bit out of the way to be a classic short stay tourist hotel but the staff were so helpful and the facilities very good. Good choice of restaurants but be prepared to pay for the quality you get

The hotel has exquisite views of downtown Tokyo. I was there with the White House Press Corps. At the time I was there it was lucky marriage day, so weddings everywhere. There is a Japanese garden that is amazing, must see!

Stayed here four nights for a meeting. The service could not have been better and I felt well cared for. This was my first time in Japan and I assumed the service would be the same everywhere but nothing met the level of the New Otani. I stayed in The Main but visited other parts of the complex for meetings and meals. That said, there is are a dizzying number of restaurants and I had difficulty figuring out where to go and got lost a couple times. But it was good exercise for sure! The room was really comfortable and cozy and I liked coming back to it after my long days. Somehow in my reading for this trip, I missed that hotels provide night clothes. I stayed in four hotels in Japan and this was always the case. The New Otani has comfortable kimonos in addition to bathrobes. One of the conference dinners was in The Sky and seriously, you need to experience it. Only the outer seating area revolves, different than other revolving restaurants I've been in. Lots of shops (high end and convenience stores) on premises. I didn't find the metro too far to walk at all, and nearby that is a vibrant area full of more restaurants than you could count. I liked the area, loved the hotel and REALLY enjoyed the Japanese Garden. I went one day just as it opened and had it nearly to myself. Definitely an oasis in the midst of city life!

After having stayed at the Osaka New Otani, the Tokyo, Akasaka location felt more high end and upscale. From the moment you walk in, you can tell that this hotel is a near 5 star with its service, amenities and rooms. There are staff members everywhere awaiting to help you with any questions or concerns you may have. The rooms themselves are more modern-contemporary compared to the Osaka location, and felt really luxurious, spacious too depending on which one you book. We had a garden view room with an amazing view of the re-known garden and koi pond. Plus views of the park next door. The hotel takes care of everything you need for a Tokyo stay and adventure, including bus service to Narita right at the front, which was very convenient. Really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return.
