The Strings by InterContinental Tokyo earns consistent accolades as Japan’s top hotel, and from a room on one of its top floors, it’s easy to survey the competition. Tokyo’s skyline envelops the hotel, adding a glamorous backdrop to interiors designed with simplicity and traditional Japanese aesthetics. Meals under the glass bridge in the atrium are an elegant affair, but The Strings’s central location means delectable local eats are close at hand. Try scouting a cozy izakaya near the Tsukiji Fish Market – it’s the largest seafood market in the world, and there are scores of ultra-fresh sushi joints nearby.

Excellent staff. Clean. The food was delicious. We found it to be an excellent value. Location is great! It’s a great launching point to explore the city, with covered access to the trains, including Shinkansen. I cannot recommend this hotel more.

This is a very nice hotel although it is a bit far out of the city center. We stayed there with another couple recently at the end of a cruise. The rooms are decent size and kitted out with very nice amenities in the bathroom, closet etc. The king bed is the biggest bed I've ever seen - much larger than our king bed at home! Reception is on the 26th floor and well staffed with helpful English speaking associates. The main restaurant is very good. The buffet breakfast was excellent and provided a wide range of options. The dinner menu had adequate choices and the food was well prepared. The only negative aspect which kept me from giving them a 5 star rating is that the ground floor entrance to the hotel is poorly marked and not staffed. So we were confused when the limo driver dopped us off. And had to struggle with our luggage till we got to the 26th floor. I was later told that there is a phone on a table near the lobby entrance which could be used to ask for a porter however, if there was any signage it was not noticeable. As I mentioned, the hotel is outside the city center but, if you are bold enough to try out the train system, it is minutes away from one of the larger stations.

I have fully satisfied with your hospitality and room cleanness. Although it is my personal idea, but I don't think a morning newspaper is needed, as we already get to used to the internet news.

Despite being Hyatt globalist I am practically blown away by the service, value and room that was available during my stay in Tokyo.. superb hospitality and one of the best breakfast and club lounge I ever had in Tokyo.. totally blew Grand Hyatt Roponggi away.. I might consider to leave WOH .. thank you IHG!
