The Tokyo Station Hotel

I rarely write hotel reviews, but The Tokyo Station Hotel deserves one. My family and I travel internationally throughout the year and frequently stay at luxury hotels. My mother is Japanese, so we visit Japan often and have stayed at many of Tokyo’s finest hotels. I can honestly say this was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had anywhere in the world. We traveled from the United States with our two children and stayed in a Maisonette room before (and after returning to Tokyo) taking the Shinkansen to Morioka. The room was perfect for our family, and the location is unbeatable for anyone traveling by train. What truly sets this hotel apart is its people. Every staff member we encountered spoke excellent English, making communication effortless. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring from beginning to end. The attention to detail was remarkable. Pajamas and robes were provided for every member of our family, including our children. The amenities were among the best I’ve experienced, with thoughtful touches like skincare products, hair ties, and virtually every toiletry I could have needed. Room service was excellent and arrived in about 30 minutes after a long day of travel. Also we had our dirty clothes washed while we travelled and had extra luggage stored while we visited Morioka on the shinkansen. This made traveling so much easier since there is limited storage on the train. We had originally planned to stay at the Palace Hotel Tokyo on our return to Tokyo, as it has traditionally been our favorite hotel. After this stay, we changed our reservation and returned to The Tokyo Station Hotel instead. That is probably the strongest recommendation I can give. One moment I’ll never forget was arriving back from Morioka on the Shinkansen with two children and a great deal of luggage. Seeing the staff Melany from Argentina waiting for us on the platform immediately made us feel at ease. She may consider it part of her job, but to us it felt like seeing a friend waiting to help. I also want to recognize Namiko-san for her kindness and warm hospitality throughout our stay, as well as the outstanding concierge team for helping arrange a wonderful birthday dinner reservation. For fellow runners, this hotel is also a fantastic base. My husband and I enjoyed running the beautiful approximately 5 km loop around the Imperial Palace, one of the world’s great urban running routes. Whether you stay here or at the Palace Hotel, I highly recommend starting your morning with this run. Luxury hotels can offer beautiful rooms, but truly exceptional hotels are defined by their people. The Tokyo Station Hotel has both. Our family has found our hotel in Tokyo, and whenever we return to Japan or travel by Shinkansen, this will be our first choice. This is my 2nd stay in Tokyo Station Hotel. As my last stay, it's still a excellent experience. In addition, I lost my item on the airplane. The staff of Concierge of Tokyo Station Hotel help making several phone calls to find my lost item, and sent the item to the next hotel I stay at a few days later. I appreciate to the great help. Excellent Hotel. Phenomenal Service ! This was a luxury hotel stay and worth it. From the moment of check in to check out the service from ALL employees was impeccable! I should say even after we walked out to catch a taxi , they came out of the hotel to make sure we got our taxi back to airport ok and checked on us and loaded the luggage. …wonderful ! 5 stars ⭐️

We really liked this hotel and will stay here again on our next visit to Japan. The hotel structure, location , facilities and staff combined to make this a truely memorable place to stay. The rooms were comfortable, elegant, large and quiet. The hotel is located in Tōkyō station and is convenient to great shopping and transport links. Breakfast selection was excellent. As was the coffee. We also tried the house bar for a cocktail.

We stayed here on our final night in Tokyo before flying home. Exceptional service and hospitality! Rooms were well equipped and a great shower!! I’m getting so spoiled with all of these amazing hotels in Japan! It was a very comfortable stay for our last night. We chose it because of the proximity of getting the train to Haneda the next morning. Thank you!
