The Tokyo Station Hotel operates in one of the world’s busiest railroad stations, but its grand hallways and rooms full of plush carpeting and chandeliers are rapturously silent. The hotel opened nearly a century ago and survived both the 1923 Great Kanto Earthquake and World War II, one of the few buildings from that time period that remains. Cathedral ceilings, crown molding and heavy silk draperies give rooms a regal feel, and bathrooms are the size of a small Tokyo apartment. If the Marunouchi business district isn’t large enough to contain your wanderings, you’re in a good place: Train travel is clearly convenient.

This hotel is outstanding. The classical building next to Tokyo Station is beautiful, and inside everything feels luxurious yet warm and relaxed. Our room was spacious enough for us, very clean, with a comfortable bed and every amenity you would expect from a luxury hotel. Breakfast was delicious every morning, with both traditional Japanese and Western choices, and the dining room felt very calm and elegant. The staff in every area were super friendly, helpful and kind, and they really gave us that “home away from home” feeling after long days out in Tokyo. I regret that I did not come earlier.

This hotel is outstanding. The wonderful staff make it like a home away from home. They provide luxury at an affordable price. The rooms are kept spotlessly clean. The breakfast is delicious. The location gives easy access to many important sights and trains to anywhere.

No complaints at all about this property. World class service in a historical building. Every amenity in the room one would expect from a luxury hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights at the start of our Japan exploration. The hotel is meticulously maintained, very clean, luxurious and the staff are attentive and professional. The breakfast was exceptional, very calm and tasty. The room selection is important if you want to have external views and a bit of extra space. The sight of the crowds coming and going from Tokyo Station was a bit overwhelming at times. At a minimum I would recommend a Palace View room if you value natural light.

Nestled within the skyscraper surrounds of Tokyo, sits the truly beautiful Tokyo Station Hotel. From the moment you walk through the doors, you know this stay is going to be something special. Staff are impeccable: efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. Rooms are exquisite with refined decor, a truly spacious and inviting feel and really, you just want to spend as much time relaxing and enjoying the view as possible. The Lounge offers a wonderful range of light snacks and meals but it’s the sweet treats you want - sublime! A refreshing gin and tonic makes for a lovely afternoon in beautiful surrounds. The buffet breakfast was magnificent! Prawn, squid and fish dishes were on offer along with traditional breakfast fare. The mini hamburgers were a fun start to the day. Leave plenty of time for an indulgent meal. Real value for money and The Atrium is a beautifully light, airy space for the first meal of the day. The hotel is close to Daimaru department store and minutes to the Shinkansen and JR tracks. If you value privacy, elegance, efficiency, ambience, wonderful food and gorgeous rooms in your choice of hotel, look no further. I cannot recommend The Tokyo Station Hotel highly enough and hope to stay there again in the future.
