Reviews for The Omni King Edward Hotel
When I stayed in Toronto before I stayed at the delta Marriott and thought this was a great hotel but The Omni Edward is as good and in ways a lot better. The location is good when you’ve got your head around the Toronto streets set up and within walking distance from union if you have no luggage or one stop to King on the metro/subway from union or get a taxi from station. We arrived via UP from airport and taxi. Staff at hotel so friendly and you will feel welcomed from the minute you walk through the door into the amazing lobby area. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable the bathrooms great especially the deep bath for aching tourist feet ! Housekeeping service second to none I really can’t rate this hotel high enough and recommend a stay here

Such a lovely experience. We were pampered from the .moment we arrived. We stayed in a Royal Club Lounge Suite, which was luxury itself. At the risk of sounding curmudgeonly, perhaps I may get a few nit-picks out of the way first. The lighting in the two rooms was poor - there were only bedside lights, none over-head (unless we missed a control switch somewhere), which made personal grooming difficult at times. Similarly there were no mirrors in the bedroom, but ample in the lounge, which was odd and inconvenient. We British are fond of our fresh air, and it was frustrating to find that the windows did not open. The air con, moreover, was noisy, so it either kept us cool but awake when on, or hot and stuffy when off. That aside, we had no complaints whatsoever. The service from staff was faultless, and we were treated like royalty. One of the best meals during our week's stay was in the Consort Bar - great food and faultless service in surprisingly quiet and intimate surroundings, and very reasonably priced (though we were rather taken aback by a house wine at 20 dollars for a 90cl glass - but then, we found wine, beer and spirits exorbitantly dear in Canada, as least compared with the UK). The highlight of each day, though, was the complementary aperitifs and hors d'oeuvres served in the Club Lounge from 5.00 till 7.00 in the evening. The room - which also provided us with wonderful cooked breakfasts every morning - is on the 11th floor, with great views over the city, bright and spacious and with relaxing unobtrusive music. And what can I say about the staff there, except that they were the nicest and friendliest you could wish to meet. It seems a shame not to mention them all individually, but I really must single out two for special plaudits; there was the lovely Katrina from Belfast, with her kind attention and infectious giggle; and of course there was the incomparable Alex, from the Ukraine I believe, for whom nothing was too much trouble. Alex treated us as one of his own, and we were truly sorry to leave on our last evening. I can still hear his "You're very welcome" to this very day - he sincerely meant it. So a great big thank you to all the staff at King Eddys, and I do hope we'll be able to visit again one day soon.

Such a beautiful hotel! The staff was so wonderful and friendly and could not be more kind. I had a little blip in my stay and was given free breakfast. The food was phenomenal and the waiter told me the tip was included!

After 33 hours travelling we were warmly welcomed at the hotel. Check in was quick, and our room was very comfortable, and the housekeeping each day was very; good. Breakfast was superb and the Eggs Benedict top class! We enjoyed a drink and pleasant meal in the busy, cheerful bar several times. Would definitely recommend.

In the center of everything for touring, it was a short walk to transportation, shopping and restaurants. The hotel was as excellent as you would expect from an Omni property. I would stay here again and recommend it to friends and family.
