I used hotel.com to book a room. We stayed in this hotel two years ago and it was fine. This room was on the second floor and it was awful. There were holes in the wall, the balcony door didn’t lock , the phone didn’t work and we were facing the woods. The furniture was very worn and there were two double beds that looked like they had seen better days. My daughter and I did not feel safe. I phoned the front desk on my cell phone and requested another room. I said when we stayed at this hotel last time the room didn’t look like this. Apparently according to the man who came with another key we had a deluxe room and the rooms on the second floor were all the same. It would be $20 a night extra. I agreed to the upgrade. The room we stayed in was on the third floor and it was better. I don’t understand why a hotel would rent out rooms in such horrible condition. I gave me a bad feeling and was actually scary. For to night it cost $400 paid to booking.com, $12 a night for parking and $20 night for the upgrade for a total of $470. They must be under new management . We I’ll never stay there again

Stayed in room 149 and 151 - Room 149 - TV cut in and out, lamp on the side table sometimes worked, sometimes didn’t. Upon arrivals phone was dusty and a string of something was hanging from the toilet. Room 151 due to a leak across the hall, room carpet were soaked! Not damp, soaked!! Not to mention the smell of smoke in the room. Would not recommend the hotel to anyone!!

AVOID!!!! THEY QUOTE A PRICE AND THEN WHEN YOU ARRIVE THEY WON'T HONOR IT. AND CLAIM THEY NEVER SAID IT.. VERY RUN DOWN AND horrible customer service Reservations confirmed a. renovated room and then claimed the price they quoted was the un-renovated room when I got there

It's an Afghan takeout restaurant in a Pakistani butcher shop in a mall in Thorncliffe Park and, very simply, they make the best charcoal-barbecued kabobs in Toronto. The spicing is subtle and complex, the meat is fresh from the butcher shop and very tender, and the sesame-coated nan and Kabuli pulao are addictive as are the sabzi (spinach) and the firni (wonderfully creamy rice pudding with pistachios). Prices are very reasonable and the service is gentle and friendly. Thanks to Suresh Doss, the CBC food critic, for another brilliant recommendation.
