We booked this hotel for 4 nights as it offers decent family suites and we wanted the space. The main room was absolutely great, and the living area/sofa bed was also decent, although the sofa bed was very uncomfortable. The main bathroom was excellent. The location is good and has good access to the underground. Whilst we enjoyed this hotel, it lacks a little atmosphere and the staff could be a little warmer. We asked for a room with a view which was not accommodated - although the hotel did not appear to be booked out and we had paid for a suite. Instead I was offered to upgrade to a more expensive room

I was lucky to get booked into this hotel by the organisers of a conference. Huge room, great breakfasts, and friendly staff who allowed an early check-in when I was badly jetlagged. There's also a peaceful pool on the top floor with generous opening times. But the best thing was that the hotel had the most brilliant key cards of any hotel ever....

Staying in the Yorkville Royal Sonesta hotel on Mother’s Day. We booked a couple of rooms and looking forward to a nice dinner in the hotels Signatures restaurant however they are closed Sunday and Monday’s Guess we have to find a hotel that has a nice place to have dinner or eat in the Bar or room service.

Beautiful room. Helpful staff. Perfect location for luxury shopping.

Mixed bag of experiences: reception staff is super friendly only to be super strict when asking for an earlier check-in. I know your rules but if you have rooms empty, please explain what is the rationale to treat loyal Sonesta loyalty program members this way: really you think you do yourself a favour? The restaurant was horrible: I ordered a cappuccino only to wait for 45’ (you read it right) and still receive absolutely nothing: there were three tables being served and two staff…. Incredible. The bar staff was super nice again but the food was not great. The rooms are actually nice but for my next Toronto trip, I’ll go for plan B.
