Peter Island Resort & Spa in Tortola, British Virgin Islands

From the moment you arrive at the marina, a 20-minute boat ride from neighboring Tortola Island, it’s clear Peter Island Resort & Spa is no typical beach holiday. Guests have access to the entire 1,800-acre island, of which only 300 acres are developed. Hike through untouched forests or take to the sea with a chartered boat. Beachfront suites and spectacular hillside villas provide access to secluded stretches of sand that were once home to the Caribbean's most colorful characters, from Christopher Columbus to the pirate Blackbeard.

Take an early morning walk to White Bay Beach and lounge in a private tiki hut, no other creature in sight except for a passing gull. Eat a picnic in the shade. Unfurl the sails of a catamaran and explore the caves at Norman Island or the baths at Virgin Gorda. Watch the sun descend into the sea at Sunset Loop with a passion fruit mojito and a plate of fruit and cheese.

Extremely secluded and private island stay. Feels like your only ones on island. Numerous top beaches and since only limited amount of rooms on island you can have most of them to yourself! Spa was nice. Secluded pools. Great food and service. Try the banana pancakes and homemade cookies! You won't be disappointed! Make sure to tour the eagles nest (luxery house you can rent). Rooms aren't the nicest ever stayed in but seclusion and beach and pools unforgettable

Perfect place for a wedding or honeymoon. The spa was one of the best I had ever seen. My favorite thing was a couples massage overlooking the beach. The staff took us to the top of the hill in golf carts so we could drink champagne and watch the sunset. It was magical. The snorkeling is best on the back side of the island. There is a reef teeming with aquatic life. There is also an awesome wreck for diving nearby - the Rhone. The food also needs to be mentioned. Every meal was spectacular! There was even entertainment that was much better than I expected...stilt walkers, dancers, fire jugglers, etc..

If you're looking for rest, relaxation, family time and reflection, the is the pace for you. The staff is happy to serve your every wish and they have left no stone or detail uncovered. We just got back and it was a slower than bust period, so we don't know what it's like in hi-season. The rooms are clean, organized, ad look like new. The food is terrific in every aspect. A visit to Tortola would be incomplete without a visit to Peter Island. Easily the most expensive Island, but well worth it if you like true 5 star service. Those of you that do, know it costs money. As a side note, they have sailing excursions, deep sea diving, sailing, and all sorts of water sports available. We are already planning our return for

The spa cabana in the top of the hill has the best location ever. Great professional, they know what they are doing. The view and the breeze has no parallel. There was a family of sharks at the beach. Great experience.

My wife and I have been going to Peter Island for almost 30 years. We go every year in January or February because of it's constant great weather, Tradewinds, but most of all for the wonderful scuba diving. The resort is fabulous. The food is extremely good. Because of the Tradewinds you don't have to worry about denque fever which we did have when we went to the Cook Islands. The weather is always fabulous, the spa is unbelievable, the snorkeling and beaches are second to none. But I have to say that our best part of this trip and why we go every year is to go diving with Randy Kiel From Paradise water sports. He is incredibly knowledgeable and makes every dive fun. It doesn't hurt that you have a historic shipwreck of the RhĂ´ne right close by. But he can take you to what you want to see. The Staff remembers you from year to year reveles and your return. They are so friendly and nice. The rooms are very beachy and solid. The beach bar where you can lay out all day is picture perfect. There has to be a reason but I've been going there for over 25 years and it really comes down to the staff and The scuba diving in. Of course rhe Celine is second to none in the entire earth. The surrounding islands are magical and you can take the day sale with Silmaril the resorts sailing ship to all of the surrounding islands. It's really a magical place and I would highly recommend it. It's where I love to go every year If you have to be connected with TV this is not necessarily the place to be unless you get a suite. But the unplug it can be quite nice. They do have good Internet connection in the room. The food is outstanding and the bars are quite nice too but it is relatively quiet for couples and family and not for those that want nightlight
