Excellent location in a city that has a lot to offer. Clean, spacious room with great seaview. Very comfortable bed and a delicate and functional bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff. No free parking around the hotel, the valet parking service worked well and is recommended.

This hotel is just lovely, situated on the promenade, close to the centre of town. The room was spacious, lovely bathroom, very comprehensive breakfast. We loved it here, the reception staff could not have been more helpful, advising of ferries, car hire, and restaurants. The breakfast room is spacious, staff brilliant and the choice of food was superb. Thank you. We would love to visit again.

What more can you ask for in a hotel? When we checked in, we asked about things to see and places to eat...the General Manager came out of his office to spend almost an hour with us discussing Trieste, his favorite places, how to get around, and the history. He loaned us his personal guidebooks, too. While we were discussing this, the reception manager asked if we would like to upgrade to a room with a view for a very modest rate increase. Well, yes...sounds good to us! When we got to our room, we had been upgraded from a standard double with no view room to a suite facing the Adriatic, complete with a balcony. The room was beautiful and quiet. Everyone working here was friendly and helpful. The building is historic and beautiful. It is close to everything, including the main square and opera house. I highly recommend this hotel, whether you have a standard room or the beautiful suite.

We stayed for two nights and I wish we could have stayed longer. When you think of a grand hotel, the Savioia fits that description perfectly. Everything about this hotel is first class. The front desk was very helpful and welcoming and the rooms are just wonderful. Excellent bedding and décor. It is worth the money to upgrade to an upper level room with a terrace with water views. We had room 514, which was large and had a very large terrace which was wonderful to have your morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. The hotel is within walking distance to many great shopping neighborhoods. Walk a block to the Palazzo del Lloyd Triestino and go to Café Specchi for an aperitivo. A very energetic outdoor café where all the cool kids hang. Also, a quick walk to Eataly for another aperitivo. I can't wait to go back to this hotel. Our room was so quite, which is rare for a hotel on a busy street.

The view... just great. Children loved the room and the bathroom is enormous. Been here before but in a side view room. The front one is just great with a balcony that is perfect for breakfast . Towels smell like new and will definitely stay again if I visit trieste.
