Reviews for Savoia Excelsior Palace
This well-renovated classic hotel is an excellent choice for Trieste. Overlooking the harbor, it's a close walk to the nearby central square and lots of nearby restaurants and bars. The rooms are spacious, many have balconies and have top-quality finishes. A terrific stay.

Being with 2 young children, we have booked a suite with a sea view, that complied with all luxury standards for the hotel's category. The king size bed was amazing, everything was ultra clean and perfectly aranged. The suite had two tv sets, which allowed us the kids to experience some good quality time themselves. The breakfast was fresh and with a plethora of gastronomical options for all types of travellers. The staff simply amazing. I would recommend this place and I would definitely book it every time we'll go to Trieste.

We spent two nights in the Savoia Excelsior and from the moment we arrived to the moment we had to leave, our stay was perfect. The concierge is very nice and helpful; the rooms are spacious, modern and clean. Excellent breakfast buffet. Very good location right next to the Piazza Unita di Italia

Did not have great expectations as this is Europe and I am accustomed to good service in Asia etc. However the hotel building is much nicer than I expected, staff were very hospitable and welcoming. Overall had a very good stay in Trieste and would certainly return to this hotel. Parking available on street across from property at municipal rates (1-1.40 eur /hr, free 8pm-8am overnight) or hotel can arrange secure parking for about 26 eur a day.

We stayed at the Savoia for the last two nights of our Italian holiday, and we could not have made a better choice. We took advantage of their family package, and we shared a junior suite with sea view with our teenager boys. The room was perfect, and we particularly enjoyed the air conditioning. The air was just fresh and clean, with hardly any humming from the fan. The common areas are wonderful and full of light. The staff was friendly and efficient, and the breakfast buffet (included in the package deal) was excellent, well beyond the Italian "cappuccino and croissant" default.
