Food service was awful. Wait staff slow and incompetent. Came here with about 35 people for cycling event. Too many people here and not enough staff. Wouldn’t come back. Too expensive for the service you get.

We visited Loew’s Ventuna Canyon Resort for a meeting and vacation. The location is sufficiently isolated for a quiet atmosphere, but close to attractions of Tucson. Our room was very comfortable with two beds, a small refrigerator, television and a patio looking out on shrubs that attracted colorful butterflies. To our left we looked on a Saguaro-studded mountain. Two sizable pools were available, but they did get crowded during the day. The are restaurants with a variety of cuisines from grab and go to fine dining. Hikes both on property and nearby are available. Astronomy sessions were offered one night. We attended three events situated in meeting rooms, an outdoor patio and a ballroom. Service was top notch, the rooms were comfortable and our attendees were very satisfied. Loew’s Ventana Canyon resort is our go to place in Tucson.

I had the opportunity to host a work event and my overall experience was outstanding. My room was spacious with a comfortable bed. We hosted two dinners which were both very good with the staff being friendly and accommodating. One of the nights we hosted a wine tasting event which was also very nice. In the morning we had a great breakfast. Really enjoy my stay

An absolutely beautiful resort and surrounding grounds. Dog friendly and many places to walk them (walkways, perimeter of the resort). Food from restaurants and room service was delicious and plentiful. Only concerns we had were a broken room phone & iron, which took 3 tries to get the phone repaired. Don’t pass up an opportunity to use the spa as well! Friendly & well-staffed!

I absolutely loved my stay at Ventana Canyon. They did a great job honoring my AMEX Fine Hotels and Resorts benefits, including a free room upgrade to a spectacular view of the foothills, noon check-in, 4pm late check-out, $100 spending credit, plus breakfast up to $85. They also gifted me a welcome bottle of their wine and chocolates. Although the resort was crowded due to an event, I was able to get a dinner reservation at their recently renovated Flying V restaurant, and they honored my request for coveted patio seating, which has gorgeous views. The fitness center is top notch. I appreciated that they have live music in the lounge. The pool was quite crowded in the daytime, so I enjoyed the hot tub late at night. I hope to return there. P.S. It would be great to add availability for the federal government business travelers rate. Doing so at least in the low season (scalding hot summer) would help keep this place busy during that time.

The spa is out of this world - best massage ever. Animals are welcome and treated like special guests too!
