I was at the resort for a conference this week. I would strongly recommend the resort for any traveler. The rooms were clean and modern. The food was very, very good. The staff was responsive and pleasant to talk with. I would like to single out Tommy. He helped me several times during the week or simply asked how I was doing. He is a great asset to the resort.

A large resort property snuggled up into the mountains of Ventana Canyon catering to large groups and families. We stayed for two nights in late February but the unseasonably cool weather kept us from taking full advantage of the resorts many outdoor amenities. Our room was on the third floor with a nice view of the pool and mountains. We were "upgraded" to a suite -3133-a huge room with large front room (like they places for the party room with corporate groups) and comfortable bedroom but no balcony or patio like most of the rooms and no window in the bedroom making it pretty dark back there. It was a bit odd but we appreciated the extra space. Pros: -beautifully landscaped with a short nature trail and lots of native vegetation including dozens of huge saguaro cacti -large pool with lots of deck chairs and a big, multi-person hot tub -friendly attentive service and you can even text them requests (I got some foam pillows) -extensive recreation options including golf course, tennis courts and a large, well-appointed fitness center -a/c was quiet and efficient -comfortable bed and our room, 3133 was very quiet and we slept well. Opportunities -while the property overall was in good shape and fairly up to date, the bathroom was not quite up to today's standard-still had a huge, two-person tub/Shower combo and dated granite tops -we decided to brave the huge hot tub by the pool despite the cool weather-the temperature was not hot, just like warm -perhaps something broken? All in all a nice place to visit.

We came for business, but felt at home. I would even bring my children next time (pool, nature, activities, food). The grounds were beautiful, and there were hikes right on property. The room accommodations were very clean and nicely appointed. The staff was very attentive and available. The food was delicious! Overall, a wonderful experience.

The Loews Ventana Canyon Resort is a beautiful place any day, but if you go for Sunday brunch, it will also be delicious. There is a huge variety of food to enjoy on the terrace while listing to a blues combo. From huge shrimp to barbecued ribs and salmon to eggs benedict - it's all there. But be sure to save some room for the stunning array of desserts. Follow the meal with a stroll to the beautiful waterfall above the resort. Maybe you will even make room for a little something more.

Loews Ventana Canyon Resort is one of the nicest properties we have visited. Being in the desert, most would say "What?" but just look at the pictures and you will get an idea. Being there is even better. Walk to the waterfall and relax for a while. It is a unique place and well worth staying at.
