About the Hotel

In the center of Turin, cradled by Northern Italy's eponymous mountains, NH Collection Turin Piazza Carlina is a gateway to the city's cultural and natural attractions. This hotel, part of the Lifestyle collection by Preferred Hotels & Resorts is warm and inviting, with a color scheme of cream and antique rose. Vibrant hardwood floors and furniture handcrafted by local carpenters lend a modern touch to rooms in this 17th century building, which has a colorful past; it was once home to Antonio Gramsci, co-founder of Italy's Communist Party.

Reviews for NH Collection Turin Piazza Carlina

Wonderful two-night stay at this lovely hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

The hotel is ideally located in the historical center of Turin. It is easy and quick to walk to a lot of points of interest, restaurants and shops. Our room was large, nicely furnished and quiet. Breakfast was great. Private parking is clean, well-lit and situated directly below the hotel. One thing to keep in mind is that you should book access to the fitness in advance center and request an access card at the front desk.

The hotel is in the city center in an an old building. Combined old and new architecture it is great. Very good breakfast. Nice staff and very helpfull. We rented bikes and cycled the whole city. That is a very good experience. Very good to do it again. #perfect

Fantastic hotel

This is the best hotel I've ever visited, and I am a platinum member at a popular chain. The service - from the front desk to the housekeeping to the restaurant - is beyond reproach. The rooms are "classy utilitarian" - very high ceilings, very quiet, with great nuanced lighting and a lovely bathroom. I have stayed in a suite as well as two styles of the singles and loved every one of them. The fitness area has what one needs, and the restaurant and bar are very nice. Piazza Carlina is a fantastic center city location with wonderful restaurants, cafes, shopping, and piazzas within a 2km walk. I recommend this for everyone. I've travelled to Torino numerous times and will in the future, and will stay here every time.

I shall pass on the cum stained toilet …..

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

I am afraid I find it very difficult to give more than one star. The room was full of issues, from the toilet seat still dirty with dried organic material (see picture) to the mouldy shower (another picture), from the sewage smell to the bed linen infested with insects (another picture), not too mention the noisy fridge, the dirty vents, and the essential room with no electric plugs (there is a difference between chic style and simply uncomfortable). However, my main concern is about the customer service. Mistakes happens and every hotel will have a room (or two) where they probably could have done much better. That’s when you see the good service as great hotels will apologize and make it up accordingly. In this case, I was given ‘I’m sorry, I would like to learn more about these issues’ ….. (look at the pictures Missy!?) and a bottle of cheap wine (7.5 euro at the supermarket). Btw, I was supposed to receive the bottle of wine and a room upgrade regardless due to my membership level, so they haven’t really provided anything as compensation (not even a discount on the final price or free drinks at the bar). The bathroom was simply disgusting (imagine you or your kids touching that?!) but their customer service was even worse (I should have spotted this from some of their replies to the negative reviews). You will be fine if you like dirty and filthy, I shall pass on the the cum stained toilet and the rest! Avoid and don’t say you have not been warned.

Fantastic hotel in central Turin with delicious breakfast.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

Absolutely loved our stay here. Fantastic location within walking distance to everything in Turin. The staff are very welcoming and plenty of them on hand if you need anything. The room was spotless, large and the perfect temperature! We had everything we needed - comfortable bed, lovely shower and a really good hairdryer. Which is harder to come by than you would think! The room was pretty quiet overall - the occasional road noise and shout from someone in the corridor but that was very brief. One of the highlights of our stay though was the breakfast. It was excellent! Fantastic selection of hot food, pastries and fresh fruit and yoghurt. Set us up nicely for seeing the sights. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
