Well, what can I say, except what a nightmare this place and the staff are. Food was overpriced for the quality of it. I've had better customer service in McDonald's. Coffee machine did not work. Jacuzzi out of service. Painter was painting inside the spa (during operational hours). Breakfast greasy and kitchen staff did not get the breakfast correct(even though items that are in the breakfast are listed on their menu). Complained at reception, was told by Nils I would hear back. Did not. Emailed over 4 months ago - nothing still. Complained on social media.. yet to hear back. Your service is pathetic and customer service/complaints handling are on a whole other level of terrible.

We stayed in the lodges at Turnery on a Golfing trip and was very impressed, the rooms were very good but getting a bit tired in places. Breakfast was in the hotel itself and was very good, the hotel is amazing but very expensive to have a drink in. Golf was fantastic the Ailsa is one of the best I have played. This was a deal through a Golf Company don't think I would pay the money asked if not a deal

We arrived on Friday for a two night stay at this fantastic hotel! The last time I was here was 40 years ago with my parents ! We had booked a "lodge" and checked it - slight delay at check in as there was only one lady on - which I did find slightly disappointing for a five star hotel. However, now checked in we made our way to the lodge. Fantastic! All the usual luxuries - massive tv - mini bar - shower and deep bath. These rooms looked as if they had just been refurbished - very impressed indeed. We ate at the golf club the first night which was very good. Friendly staff - the second night was in the famous 1906 restaurant which is without doubt one of the best meals we have ever had! Fantastic service - large wine list - friendly staff. The views from the hotel are breath taking - there new function rooms are very impressive - nice cosy bar within the hotel. Log fire on as you enter the building. Take a walk to their lighthouse, it's very impressive as well - you can even book the suite within the light house! We will be back - A five star experience and thank you to all the staff. Superb .....

From the moment you drive up the winding road leading to the entrance to the hotel, the reception from the doorman dressed in full Scottish tartan, check in with a very personal touch, the beautiful rooms, fabulous views over the Firth of Clyde and Ailsa Craig seemingly floating over the sea, this is true 5 star luxury in every sense. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful and seem to take great pride in the hotel. We were fortunate to stay in the Cink Suite named after Stewart Cink who won the Open in 2009. The room (or should I say rooms) were huge with the biggest TV screens I have ever seen in a hotel room. Beautiful bedroom and bathroom with every amenity you would expect from a 5 star hotel. We took the shuttle to the Lighthouse which is the half way house for the golf courses and had a pleasant drink on the terrace before walking back to the hotel via the golf clubhouse which was also very impressive. In the evening we dined in the 1906 restaurant where the food was very good indeed and enjoyed a nightcap in the Grand Tea Room before retiring for the evening. In the morning we had an excellent breakfast (with haggis) in the 1906 restaurant. I can genuinely say this is one of the best 5 star hotel experiences I have ever had and would highly recommend a stay here.

Beautiful hotel staff really nice nothing too much trouble . Was booked into the villas but on arrival was offered a room in the hotel at £30 extra non sea view so took it . Was not disappointed it was worth it. Turn down service was a real treat . Well stocked mini bar plus kettle and coffee machine . Thought the drinks in the bar were pricey at £7a pint and £8 cheapest gin but it was table service and it is a luxury hotel so to be expected . Spa if fab again staff lovely . Walked out to the lighthouse which is fab as it was raining when we got there the lady phoned for the mini bus to take us back to the hotel nothing was an issue to any of the staff everyone always willing to help . Lovely congierge staff too one of the guys today said he could phone his uncle donald and arrange for us to stay for a month 😁 brilliant . Loved it here a real treat for us hoping togo back great job trump turnberry .
