Steeped in tradition and stretched across a proper waterfront estate of 800 acres, Trump Turnberry, a Luxury Collection Resort in the Ayrshire countryside is the quintessential Scotland retreat. Part of the esteemed Luxury Collection, this renowned mecca is best known for its pair of championship golf courses, one of which hosted the 2009 British Open. Enjoy being lulled to sleep by the quiet of the countryside, all within the confines of a stunning 1906 Edwardian-style hotel. After a recent renovation, Trump Turnberry Resort has been reborn with spirit and grace. Each guest room is filled with classic Scottish décor and traditional furnishings. Had an overnight stay at Turnberry on saturday 10th Feb this year. WOW, what a place. 5 star experience from the minute you walk through their from door. Very slick check in & out. Very expensive for drinks, but hey, you know that will be the case when you book, so don't moan about it after you've been. We had a Delux room overlooking the main entrance, very spacious & very luxurious. would have no hesitation in visiting again.

We had booked the Valentines package on Saturday 10th February and I’m so glad we chose Turnberry! On arrival our bags were taken from us and brought upstairs to our stunning deluxe ocean view room, wow! The room was very spacious, immaculate, well designed and extremely comfortable - not to mention the fantastic views! We had sandwiches and wine at the bar which were delightful, again with amazing views and a lovely buzz about the place. The evening started off beautifully with champagne and canapés, followed by a most scrumptious 6 course taster dinner, wonderfully presented and very filling! Breakfast was amazing and everything you could possibly want was on offer. Every single member of the Turnberry team were outstanding, from their courteous smiles to the knowledge and expertise in their roles. I would absolutely highly recommend this fine establishment - a truly magical, unforgettable and 5 star experience!

Many thanks to Vladimir and his team - from check in to check out we found the staff to be very attentive and helpful. Room 15 gave wonderful views and the food in the restaurant and the club house was excellent. Took a lovely long walk to the lighthouse to compensate for the extra calories eaten at the breakfast. Would highly recommend to anyone.

My husband and I have just returned home after spending a fantastic weekend at this hotel, celebrating our wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, we found all the staff to be so friendly and efficient. Our car was valet parked and the luggage taken to our room with the offer of unpacking if we had required. Our room was a Deluxe with sea view (room 222). Beautifully decorated and well designed with an amazing view. I’m very particular when it comes to sockets not being near mirrors and poor lighting in bathrooms but I needn’t have worried - I didn’t have to unpack my extension cable which I always have in my suitcase!! The full length mirror on the back of the bathroom door also got a thumbs up. Another feature of the room, which we found excellent, was the MyAway app which can be downloaded. This allows you to pair your phone to the TV allowing you to stream your music (or watch Netflix/Amazon Prime). Excellent for when you’re chilling in your room or getting ready for dinner. We dined the first night at Duel in the Sun which is actually on the 1st floor of the Golf Club situated across the main road from the actual hotel. I wasn’t aware of this beforehand and hadn’t packed a suitable coat however there is a courtesy car which takes you there and picks you up again so it wasn’t an issue. Food there was excellent although a little pricey (£44 for an 8oz fillet steak - it did melt in the mouth though). Breakfast was delicious with lots of variety. A buffet style but you could also order from the menu if you didn’t want the full fry-up. I had the Burns Breakfast.....haggis with cheese potato rosti, fried eggs topped with hollandaise sauce. Scrumptious! We did have to queue (school spring break) so take this into account when deciding what time to go down. It wasn’t too long though. I would highly recommend your stay includes a Sunday and have Sunday Brunch (pre-booking is a must). Absolutely superb. We were so full we couldn’t eat for the rest of the day! Afternoon Tea looked lovely and the bar offered a lovely variety of food too. We didn’t use the Spa but did wander over for a visit. Beautifully decorated and very relaxing. Over the years, we’ve been fortunate enough to stay in some top hotels all over the world and this one ranks with the best of them. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. We’ll be back!

My husband and I have just had the ultimate pleasure of a wonderful 2 night stay at this magnificent hotel . From the warm Scottish welcome on arrival to the true splendour of the hotel & surrounding areas , we felt so very proud to be part of a Scottish wonder . The staff & service are on a different level to anything we have ever experienced before , they really do bring a little bit of Scottish magic to each and every guest . Jim I have to say is an asset to the full team & a man who makes you proud to be Scottish . Everything is just perfect , nothing is below perfect and even though the place is to such a high standard , we never once felt intimidated , we felt at home.
