Trump Turnberry, a Luxury Collection Resort, Scotland in Turnberry, Scotland

Steeped in tradition and stretched across a proper waterfront estate of 800 acres, Trump Turnberry, a Luxury Collection Resort in the Ayrshire countryside is the quintessential Scotland retreat. Part of the esteemed Luxury Collection, this renowned mecca is best known for its pair of championship golf courses, one of which hosted the 2009 British Open. Enjoy being lulled to sleep by the quiet of the countryside, all within the confines of a stunning 1906 Edwardian-style hotel. After a recent renovation, Trump Turnberry Resort has been reborn with spirit and grace. Each guest room is filled with classic Scottish décor and traditional furnishings. Some offer views of the solitary lighthouse, while others gaze across the rugged sea or stunning landscape. Freestanding lodges are crowned with crimson roofs and add a homey touch for those enjoying an extended stay or traveling with a group.

When you gaze out over the Irish Sea and its countless islands, it is no surprise to discover that some of the world's finest seafood is available here. Consider the elegant 1906, the resort's signature restaurant, or the more casual Duel in the Sun, which pays homage to golf pros Watson and Nicklaus. Traditional Scottish pastimes, such as clay shooting, archery, and rifle shooting, bring the Turnberry Resort experience full circle. Ride on horseback across the verdant surrounding landscapes, or join locals at the nearby Tam O'Shanter pub for a pint of lager and a serving of history. Trump Turnberry Resort in Scotland is yours to imagine.

My husband and I had a fantastic stay here. The rooms are exquisite. The spa is absolutely wonderful and a must do if visiting. The location offers spectacular sea views and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

We stayed for 2 nights in this beautiful hotel, and even though the weather was miserable, the view from our Ocean View room was quite stunning. The room and bathroom were spotless, and staff were always pleasant and most helpful. The only thing I would say, is, please, Mr. President, get some better pillows- I felt like my head was resting on the front door step!

A beautiful place luxurious with friendly helpful staff The wedding menu did not suit me but this was taken care of with minimum fuss The room was lovely the bathroom finished in marble and gold A very pleasant break The breakfast however was slow service we bed to ask for extra toast while we waited I believe a chef cooking the food in the room itself would speed things up the way they do it at the moment is very staff intensive All in all a very pleasant experience such beautiful scenery on our own doorstep Scotland is really a beautiful place would love to go back

Stayed here for two nights. Staff are very welcoming and helpful, in reception, concierge, and restaurants. The decor though lacks the sophistication or elegance of a five star hotel - gold coloured taps throughout, gold bed headboards, ridiculously large TV etc. Plus my bedside table was really really dusty (so bad, I took a picture - see this review). Scones for the afternoon tea we had were excessively dry.
