Came to the Oberoi January 2026 for two weeks with our 2.5 year old and whilst I am 4 months pregnant. Firstly, I would like to focus on the experience from my daughter's perspective for anyone thinking of coming with little ones. My daughter was treated like a complete princess. We usually do very child focussed hotels mainly so you don't feel like you are interrupting other people's experience, but we needn't have worried about that at the Oberoi. The space that you have between you and other guests is huge. We had a room that we could walk out the back door to the pool in 20 steps, where we never struggled for sun loungers and didn't at all feel like we were upsetting other guests playing and splashing around. The kids club is 4+, but I was allowed to stay with my little girl so she could do activities. As she was basically the only child here, the kids club would let us borrow the access card to be able to use the facilities whenever we wanted which was a great escape from the sun (they have a play kitchen and board games etc). Also, Shamra who was running the kids club would let us pick an activity and a time that suited us best which was amazing for us. They even let us borrow sand castle equipment to have for our stay. The food is great and they have a kids menu, but are more than accommodating to go off of that menu for the things your little one enjoys most. The evening entertainment is music, but the one singer in particular on Fridays and Tuesdays would break out some Disney hits for my daughter to have a good old boogie which made the holiday for us. As for us adults, the mocktail selection was great and the food was exceptional. We ate the Indian menu options the majority of the time because it was uniquely different and authentic to anything we have had in the UK. I organised a full body pillow when I got here which meant I didn't need to bring my pregnancy pillow with me and the bed was super comfy. The room was always pristine and the teddies were always placed in cute new location which my daughter loved. Huge shout out to Antish, Anisha and Madvhi who looked after the room and were so quick with the cleaning. The room is brilliant. We stayed in the lowest standard room and it was phenomenal. The outdoor sun loungers were great with the little one having her nap inside etc. I had a wonderful pregnancy massage by Preety and my husband had 3 massages, 2 by Samantha that he said were the best he'd ever had. Major shout out to the chefs, we spoke with Hari and Udit who did us a special cooking class to see how they made our favourite dishes from the holiday. The experience was amazing, and felt really special. Final shout out to the staff that we interacted with over meals and in the bar that made us feel like pampered royalty. Rabin in the bar, Manav, Akshay, Shaan, Aditya and Rhubesh who kept my little one stocked up on chocolate after dinner. We can't fault the Oberoi, we had high hopes when we booked it, but frankly it surpassed. We are coming back feeling rested but also so grateful for all the lovely interactions. Your facilities are great, but the staff elevated our experience, and the ice cream in the afternoon was such a fun little surprise. P.s. I got to have a sneaky look around he fancy royal room which is the top level room and that was insane, bigger than my house! And we had expected some gaps in the weather before we came with it being January, and we were staying two weeks, but the weather was almost perfect, we had one night time storm and the odd shower on one or two days.

This was our fifth stay at an Oberoi, all in India previously and always had an excellent time, so we were curious to see how the experience would compare internationally - in short, it was AMAZING! Hard product: rooms are a great size, powerful air conditioning and beautiful marble bathrooms. The hotel itself is very well maintained, including the extensive gardens which are immaculate. The grounds themselves are a delight to walk around, with the fresh smell of the ocean and gardens alongside the sound of birds - it’s truly a tropical paradise. Design is very thoughtful, with the dining and bar areas offering vistas of the ocean. The two pool areas are also fantastic, where the pools merge with the view of the ocean, creating a brilliant view (I am sure it was intentional). The online pictures really do not do the hotel justice - before we came we thought it looked a bit ‘dated’ (and we were slightly hesitant to book because of this) but arriving we were completely blown away and knew we had made the right decision. The beach itself is not the best for swimming, but the pools really made this a non-issue. Food: the à la carte breakfast has pretty much anything you could want, with bespoke dishes also available if you ask. Pastries were delicious, croissants on a par with what you’d get in France at a bakery. Lunches at on the rocks were fantastic - staples such as burgers and club sandwiches executed very well and pizza dough was obviously freshly made and cooked excellently. The pasta was also delicious but is a GIGANTIC portion. We had the opportunity to try three of the dinner options: the main restaurant we mainly had Indian food which was excellent. The BBQ at the on the rocks was also fantastic, the pork ribs especially are really to die for. We also tried the herb trail, which was a very memorable experience with stunning views and delicious slow cooked meat. On food - I would not recommend the half board unless you are a gigantic eater. We did not go for this in the end, and definitely made the right decision as we found portions very generous. Service: this is where the Oberoi has blown us away in the past and again the same here. Natacha’s daily check-ins and presence were noted and appreciated, Shaan chats at the bar, management of the on the rocks dinner and custom cocktails were a delight, Aum who frequently served our lunches and dinners, and very thoughtfully provided us with a palm heart appetiser which was delicious, and Aditya who’s service at lunch and new years was always brilliant. Housekeeping staff were also excellent, surprising us with a rose petal bath as well as small gifts, which we’ll always remember the holiday by. The main pool service was an also exceptional - cold water, towels, fruit and ice cream all brought to your sunlounger complementary throughout the day. Oberoi service is legendary for a reason, and other hotels should really look to them as the standard. We were so happy to see it successfully transported to a beach resort. Other: we were there for the New Year’s Eve party, which was EXCELLENT. It is hard to describe and we weren’t sure what to expect, but it was a brilliant evening with live music, drinks, unbelievable food with literally anything you could want, caviar, lobsters, mussels, crabs, oysters, foie gras, pata negra, BBQ meats, roast beef, pasta, pizza, etc. There is then a dj and dancing after dinner, with fireworks on the beach. It was a really great atmosphere and such a memorable evening. I would definitely recommend it.

This is simply excellent. I cannot fault or criticise in any way. We have eaten in the hotel every night of the week and found it exceptional. For service, attention to detail, kindness, it is beyond my expectations. I have stayed in 6 Oberoi’s now and they never fail to please.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Oberio. The grounds and amenities were all up to par. The quality of food and service was great. The gym was at the top of my experiences from all of my travels. The only critique I can offer is that prior to our arrival there was confusion that was entirely unnecessary in regard to our flight details and transportation plans as if the person involved was not well versed in English or not reading emails thoroughly - which caused us great concern and uncertainty in our plans. I am not sure if they used a service for this outside of the hotel or if was a new employee but this should never happen at a place like this. Had the experience not been so positive overall after arrival, I would have removed a star prior to arrival because it was that unnecessarily frustrating.
