2 wonderful weeks in Oberoi Mauritius. We stayed in April and had great weather. We chose Oberoi after scanning all the 5 star resort around the island and were happy to see we have made the right choice. The hotel stands behind its brand and the location is perfect. Food - as all write it is truly the best we have ever had. and on top of the great offered menu you can ask for what you wish for and it is always answered with a positive smile. Location - we went to different hiking, shopping, museums and it is all near by and the hotel cars and drivers are very helpful taking you around. The gardens are beautiful and full of different flowering bushes and trees - so many sounds and smells as you walk to the beach and back to your room. The pools are special with decoration and bubbling water areas to seat or lie in and watch the sunsets. There are many organised activities like craft, cooking, star gazing and in the evening live music and singing and some surprises :) The beach has a nice swimming area and we were surprised to see so much life : many many reef fishes, morena eels, large shells, cleaning shrimps, large barracuda, turtle, tiny sea snakes (harmless), small box fishes, parrot fish and puffer fish. Even the corals are coming back to life. Yes it is still mostly grey but life is slowly returning. The place needs help from the Authorities and I hope the resort can push it faster. Diving - we had many diving using the dive center in Maritime resort near by. Vikash the owner picks you up from the resort's jetty and dives were very nice. highly recommended to dive when you are there. Thank you notes : A big big thank you to all the staff , sorry we do not have all the names but for now we can mention Restaurants and main Bar : Aum, Oomar, Varun, the Chefs, Chef Singh, the indian food and the smoke meat chefs, Shaan and others which I am sorry I dont have their names. Siddharth at the beach :) Raj and Vinay the hotel drivers who were so helpful during our trips in the island. The room cleaning team that were helpufl to find the right time to clean when we were out of the room. Natasha who managed the resort as the general manager was away but was in contact with us through email letting us know he is sorry he can not personally meet us - and was helpful from far away. items to improve - the beach can have more care for some drifted garbage after the rain/wind. Boat house - I would suggest new SUP. (they have great paddle boats - one even with a slide and they offer 3 snorkeling tours per day where other resorts offer two. I promised the team that when we come back to Mauritius we will stay again in Oberoi and a promise is a promise :) many many thanks to all of you there. Our family.

We were treated like royalty even though we were not staying at the resort. We were at a neighboring property, but had dinner at On The Rocks and loved it. We decided to revisit the resort during the day to get a different perspective. The bar that overlooked Port Louis was so inviting, that we decided to sit down and have a drink. When the server asked for our room number, I explained that we were not guests of the hotel, but had dinner the previous night and wanted to come back. Our service was wonderful and our server as pleasant as can be. The grounds and structures are absolutely beautiful and I would have liked to have been a guest for a few days. The only downsides are limited sunset views and the beach is mostly rocky. Oberoi Hotels are consistent perfection and class.

On the rocks was a great place to dine as a walk in. Great service and food! Mr Sun and all his team made me feel at home, although I was only looking for a nice meal and wasn't staying at the hotel. I had the chance to roam around the property, it is absolutely gorgeous and if I have the opportunity, si will certainly come back to stay! Highly recommend On the Rocks restaurant for a lovely meal overlooking the ocean and great service and hospitality!

Back from a wonderful weekend at The Oberoi Mauritius, and it truly stands out as one of the best hotels on the island. Having visited several 5-star resorts, I can say that this one is exceptional. The service and hospitality are simply outstanding. In many hotels, you sometimes feel a difference in service depending on whether staff are trainees or from abroad, but here, every single team member is equally professional and attentive. As a Mauritian guest, I’ve occasionally experienced a slightly dismissive attitude in other hotels, but not here. At The Oberoi, every guest is treated with the same level of care and respect, which makes a huge difference. The pool area is superb. You don’t even need to ask for anything, staff anticipate your needs and bring water, towels, and even fresh fruits without you having to lift a finger elevating the experience. Cleanliness is impeccable, both inside the rooms and throughout the gardens. The room service is excellent, with amenities consistently replenished and everything kept spotless at all times. Dining was also a highlight. At the main restaurant, a special thank you to Mevin for his kindness, helpful recommendations, and flawless service, nothing ever seemed impossible for him. At On the Rocks, Kumar’s attentiveness truly stood out, he was incredibly kind, and my son was delighted to be able to collect his ice cream himself thanks to him. The boathouse team was also always warm and welcoming. Overall, it was an incredible stay from start to finish.
