Wow what is beautiful about this hotel is it’s sense of calm amidst the wonderful chaos of Marrakesh - the staff and service exceptional- our room (101) was beautiful - in the main building with an enormous terrace - you can lie in bed and see the Atlas Mountains - the bathroom - spectacular- perfect super strong water pressure - lie in the bath and just relax with the terrace door open and just take the view in. Pool area and cafe by the pool very good staff very friendly Breakfast - whatever - detox juice carrot juice, seven different types of honey ! full a la carte - pureed food for babies - in fact i’m sure they would cook you anything you wanted Dinner - mushrooms risotto for me was sensational Complimentary shuttle service to the Médina, the gardens etc from the hotel - they also use Fizal (a taxi driver lovely ) who will take you anywhere and bring you back ! Moudah and Racil (sp) - just so utterly professional top class - couldn’t really say they go the extra mile they go the extra marathon We had three nights here and did not want to leave.

When we arrived at the Oberoi Beach Resort on our first trip to Mautitius we didn´t know what to expect. It did not take us long to realise we just arrived at a truly outstanding place. The service is probably the best we have seen at a hotel anywhere and the place is so beautiful. It is a true paradise for anyone wanting to relax.

The most magnificent experience in every way imaginable. Surrounded by warmth and attention from the moment we set foot on the hotel grounds. The hotel staff and management are superb and unlike anything you will find anywhere else -- each interaction is as though you are with dear friends and everything is possible. Hotel facilities are extensive and without fail -- incredible. Restaurants are out of this world. Rooms and villas -- most comfortable and spacious and private. Scenery is remarkable -- the sunsets are to die for. We enjoyed the most relaxing and rejuvenating break ever. Could not recommend The Oberoi, Mauritius more highly -- it is unrivalled.

We have very fond memories of Mauritius from visits 40 years ago. We also have very fond memories of Oberoi hotels in other countries. The Oberoi Mauritius did not disappoint! It is a spectacular hotel, in a beautiful location, staffed by some of the loveliest people in the world. In all respects the resort excelled. In all respects the hotel team excelled. We had a delightful and exceptionally comfortable room with a double aspect to the west and to the south. We enjoyed the 45 minutes before sunset on our patio every evening. Breakfast in the main restaurant was excellent, with a very diverse buffet and al a carte menu. We skipped lunch many days but found that the beach bar served great cocktails and lunch snacks when we couldn’t resist. We alternated between the main restaurant and the slightly more casual “On the Rocks” restaurant for supper. The menus had a very good balance between international and local cuisine. We enjoyed lounging on the beach, snorkeling at least daily, an occasional sail, ski and game of tennis. The Water Sports team were very available to assist and coach, much more so than at many resorts. The plentiful supply of iced water and an afternoon ice cream to our sun loungers on the beach was greatly appreciated. We found the holiday very relaxing and perfect for heading into our 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration in London. It is difficult to single out individual staff members without mentioning the whole team. However, we greatly appreciate the hospitality and graciousness of Madame Natacha; House Keeping - Ashwynta, Sambi and Dinesh; Bar – Justin, Rabin and Sidharth; On the Rocks – Shaan and Solomon; Main Restaurant – Aum, Bharti and Djoti; Water Sports – Terry, Danny, Rakesh and Giovan. Every single staff member we encountered in the resort had a most pleasant disposition. Each one of them being perfect ambassadors for their company and their country. Very well done and many thanks, Ian and Jane Partridge

There is a reason why The Oberoi is a 5-star Deluxe resort, and it did not disappoint. First of all, once you arrive, your car is parked for you, and your luggage magically appears in your room. Oh no, sorry - The Oberoi doesn't do "rooms" or "suits", The Oberoi does Pavilions and Villas! That there tells you everything you need to know. When a hotel or resort doesn't offer an All-Inclusive option or Buffet food, you know you're in for a treat. The only options are B&B or HB - we took HB. The staff are unbelievably attentive, polite and helpful. Honestly, they could not have done more to try and please us. We arrived a bit early at the hotel, and we were told our pavilion was already ready for us. We were even offered a late check-out as it was available - we didn't even have to ask. The food is exquisite - portion sizes may appear small, but don't be fooled! That three-course meal will fill you right up even before you realize. Breakfast must have been the highlight of our trip - we tasted as much as we could, each dish being better that the last. There are two swimming pools - one for families and one for adults-only. I cannot recommend this place enough. I will definitely be going back for a well-deserved relaxing break.
