We had the most wonderful stay at The Oberoi Beach Resort, Mauritius. From the moment we arrived, we felt so well looked after. The resort is absolutely stunning — peaceful, beautifully maintained, and perfect for a relaxing escape. The staff made our trip truly special. With our dietary requirements, we were a little nervous at first, but the team went above and beyond to ensure every meal was safe and delicious. A special thanks to Aum, Prakash, and Vasudha at the main restaurant for their kindness, attentiveness, and care — they made dining such a pleasure every day. The spa was another highlight — serene and calming, with amazing treatments. Naina was exceptional and made the whole experience so rejuvenating. Every detail of our stay was thought of, and we felt genuinely cared for throughout. This is not just a beautiful resort — it’s a place where the staff truly make you feel at home. We left relaxed, grateful, and already looking forward to coming back.

Our stay was truly the trip of a lifetime! Coming from the States was a TREK but absolutely worth it. We stayed in a pool villa, which was incredible, but we hardly needed it as we had no issue getting chairs on the beach at the adults-only pool, which we found very serene and relaxing. Not to mention, the service was superb - with ongoing treats such as fresh fruit and ice cream as an added bonus. Every meal we had was phenomenal. Normally, I would get bored with the food while eating at a resort with just a few on-site restaurants. In our 7-day stay we had all meals on property and I found that the variety was enough and the food was so delicious that I never got bored. We were a little unsure about the Gunpowder Room given the shared tables and set menu but it should NOT be missed. The main restaurant was our ultimate favorite - I still dream of the Meat and Seafood Thali. Of course, the best part was the staff. We've stayed at some 5-star hotels in exotic destinations like Bora Bora and felt so disheartened when the staff seemed disengaged and unhappy. Everyone at the Oberoi was so genuinely lovely and kind. There were so many instances where they went above and beyond - namely on my birthday. They made the entire day so special - from mimosas at breakfast to a decorated room and even staff passing by wishing me "Happy Birthday." Here's hoping I can celebrate every birthday at this place - or at least the big ones! Would like to shout out everyone who works at this incredible property, but I only took a few names down. Please exclude any typos / misspellings as some of these were after a few glasses of wine :) - restaurant staff including Rubish, Mevren, Rungen, Arpit, Sidharth; our driver Raj, and Isabelle at the spa. Thank you for making this trip even more magical!

Oh my lord, what a fantastic experience we have just had at the Oberoi. We had a Garden room and had a 10 blissful night stay. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and truly spoilt. We were celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary and the small touches we experienced made it all the more memorable. Each and every member of staff went out of their way to be helpful, kind. Nothing was too much trouble to organise. The Spa treatments were lovely. Food in the restaurants, first class. Housekeeping, couldn't fault them. All in all a truly amazing place to spend your holiday.

The Oberoi offers a profound sense of calm and serenity from the moment you arrive. The ambience is breathtaking, with stunning views at every turn. It is definitely a total contrast to busier, family oriented hotels and is perfect for couples and those seeking relaxation. The resort occupies a unique position among French colonial ruins. The views are fantastic and the construction is very sympathetic to the landscape with a certain timeless opulence. Really has to be experienced as photos do not do the hotel justice. We especially loved the adults only pool area with small private beach, a very relaxing spot. Our room was superb—spacious with high ceilings, powerful AC and a generous terrace with both chairs and sun loungers. Thoughtful details are everywhere, right down to the provided insect repellent, milk for hot drinks etc. The incredible staff are the heart of this hotel. They have really taken care of us during our stay. A huge thank you to Antish, our room supervisor who truly went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The general manager greeted us upon arrival and was visible around the resort, ensuring customers were happy. The food offering was overall great, especially the à la carte breakfast. The main restaurant was our favourite restaurant and it offers a wide range of dishes. The seafood and meat Thali is especially delicious, offering an authentic taste of Indian cuisine. The room service or ‘Private dining’ as they refer to it was also excellent on both occasions we used it. Delivery and presentation of the food to the room was excellent, really providing a special experience above normal room service. Portions are generous, with bread provided and the staff prepare the table with places set for you. The Bar next to the main restaurant offered well crafted cocktails which were not overly sweet as found in other resorts. The live guitar music performed at the bar created a perfect ambience and made our final night here one to remember. We also made use of the on site gym, which has a good range of equipment. Water and towels are offered and the temperature is perfect for a workout. Finally, we took an excursion to the botanic gardens and used the taxi company that work with the hotel near reception. We found the price to be fair and the driver was very friendly and gave us some interesting insight into the local landmarks, waited for us during our visit and drove us back to the hotel. In conclusion, this resort offers a really unique sense of tranquility and relaxation with luxury and attention to detail throughout. We definitely hope to return soon!
