Isolated from the world, a serene gem in the Indian Ocean, the verdant island of Mauritius invites you to escape and unwind in the lap of luxury at The Oberoi Mauritius. Along 600 meters of crystalline oceanfront, with a blend of European, African and Asian style, guest villas at this exquisite hotel are a perfect fusion of beach bungalow and stylish modernity. Comfortable and plush, each room has a breezy tropical atmosphere, with sunken baths overlooking open-air gardens, and an abundance of warm light. Breathe in the fresh air as you recline in your gazebo, or splash in your private pool, all the while enjoying the incredible surroundings. As you gaze out over the ocean from underneath your thatched roof, take in the sweeping mountains in the distance, and sink into the blissful ambiance of The Oberoi Mauritius.

Our stay at The Oberoi Beach Resort, Mauritius was truly exceptional. Set in a beautiful location, the resort offers a sense of calm, space and luxury from the moment you arrive. What really made the experience stand out was the people. Neetu and the entire team were incredibly warm, attentive and genuinely hospitable – they went above and beyond to make our stay feel personal and special. The food was consistently delicious, and every meal was something to look forward to. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this resort and very much hope to return in the future.

Beautiful location on the drier side of the island, rooms very comfortable and laid out in extensive gardens. Staff friendly and attentive and very professional. Choice of restaurants all providing high quality delicious meals. Watching the sun set over the sea with a rum punch in hand a memorable experience. Plenty to keep you busy with free daily events such as wine tasting, cooking class or star gazing. Spa to revitalise and gym to keep you fit are recommended. We have stayed at other luxury hotels on the island but the Oberoi is in a league of its own.

We originally booked for the last week of February and the first week of March, flying Emirates via Dubai. BUT the US/Iran war intervened and our return flights were cancelled. so we ended up staying an extra nine nights in total. What a joy this hotel is. The Management and staff have a great guest focused ethic and could not be more helpful. The whole place is a peaceful oasis which serves excellent food with chefs who actually come to talk to guests after their meals. Nothing is too much trouble ,not even assisting with flight bookings(thank you Natacha),or extended accomodation deals. What more could you ask? David&Sandra

The setting, size and variety is amazing, but it's the staff that take the experience over the top. We had 9 nights at the Oberoi, and couldn't thank them enough for everything. Recognising the two special events we were celebrating, the housekeeping services were a very nice behind the scenes touch. The activities, from glass bottom boat, paddle boat, rum & wine tasting and the cooking class were all fun additions, and had they not been 'included' we may have missed it. I went for a long walk along the beach and checked out several other resorts. Some of their staff looked me in the eye and said hello, and others just politely walked past. Oberoi staff make the gesture to fold their hands and provide a happy and welcoming greeting throughout the day, regardless of their role (e.g. even the gardeners). Our stay was peaceful, yet there was still plenty to do and people around so that we could enjoy quiet time when we wanted and nice music and drinks in the bar when we wanted. The menu selections are plentiful and even though I am a picky eater, there was plenty to choose from and always prepared perfectly. I had assumed there would be more buffet style dishes, and appreciated the full a la carte menu. We have been so impressed with Oberoi we can't decide if we should return to Mauritius or try a visit to India or elsewhere. I hope that the service is an Oberoi belief and attitude and not just the success of one resort, but credit to all of the management team for creating such a wonderful culture. Two individuals I wanted to mention, although all were great. Justin who did the rum tasting was so enjoyable that we ended up looking for him in the bar to say hello and ask advice on other aspects of your resort. The rum tasting was fun and memorable, but I could definitely see Justin moving into a leadership role in your organisation as his talents are well above that of hosting a fun class and working in the bar. The other person was Rhubesh who did the wine tasting. We've done wine tasting before, but his knowledge and professionalism made it very interesting and done in a very nice and entertaining way like we've never experienced before. When relaxing on the sun loungers at the beach (or the pool) it was a nice touch to have fresh fruit kebabs, ice cream, and iced water dropped off without request. I've never had the check-in process not take place at Reception. Taking us to the viewpoint as a welcome and then doing the details of identification and deposit in our room was such a relaxing experience, others should do the same. As mentioned above, Justin as well as Rhubesh were names that stood out. Aditya (at the beach, not the GM) was very kind to us too. Aditya the GM was very pleasant by introducing himself and wishing us an excellent stay. This visit makes me eager to try another Oberoi property in another exciting location.
