The Oberoi, Mauritius

We had an excellent stay at the Oberoi Mauritius. The service was exceptional, and the team took wonderful care of us throughout our visit. As we were traveling with our one-year-old daughter, we especially appreciated how accommodating and considerate everyone was with our food requests and family needs. The resort itself is beautiful, peaceful, and impeccably maintained, making it a perfect destination for a relaxing getaway. The only reasons I would not rate it a perfect 10/10 are a few delays we experienced with restaurant and room service on certain occasions. Additionally, the beach in front of the resort is quite rocky, which makes swimming a little challenging compared to some other beaches in Mauritius. That said, the outstanding hospitality, attention to detail, and genuine warmth of the staff more than made up for these minor shortcomings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend the Oberoi Mauritius to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable holiday.

The standards at this hotel, and within the Oberoi group generally, should be those to which everyone in the industry both aspires and delivers. This was our fourth experience of an Oberoi hotel and, alongside the excellent accommodation, facilities, food and drink, it is the level of service offered by all staff that makes it exceptional. That can only come through a culture that starts at the top and clearly cascades down, supported by highly effective training. This is an idyllic, quiet resort which offers a totally relaxing and comfortable experience. Of course, it comes at a cost, but it is price worth paying for the quality of the service and attention to detail. We will certainly be looking to stay at other hotels in the group because you know what you will get from the time you check in, to the sincere farewell on departure.

Excellent hospitality, Great Food, Wonderful location, Big rooms with private sit out, Beach actiivities and water sports. Team is hands on to take individual travellers and big groups. Its Please like Bharti, Rossan, Chaitanya, Prisha, Sahar, Amandika, Rizwana under the leadership of Ms Natacha, Prashant & Manusha have made the stay even more exquisite.

The title is what I said to the manager when he sought my feedback. For my first visit to Mauritius, I chose the Oberoi, because it met what we were looking for and not just because it was a brand I trusted for its impeccable service. I must day the Oberoi went beyond my high expectations. Right from our arrival at the airport (they arranged the pick up) to check in our stay, every interaction with the Oberoi team was warm and professional. Our cottage was very comfortable and lacked nothing with attention to small details like the variety of tea and coffee, to the quality of slippers. The surprise decorations and cake for my birthday was a pleasant surprise. The property occupies a large stretch of beachfront and one can walk along the seafront without leaving the property. Both restaurants we tried had a well curated menu (particularly breakfast) with great service. I appreciated the way the restaurant team responded very promptly when one dish was not to my liking. The live music - something different each night and activities each evening was something we liked. It was equally nice to just relax by one of the two pools. In all a great experience and I'd be happy to return.
