My stay at the Leelu came at the end of a three week tour around India. The surprise of arriving by boat, the superb greeting by staff, the in room check in, and the availability of butler service if I had wanted it, took this hotel into a league of its own. The grounds at night, and view over the lake are spectacular. I only had breakfasts but there was an impressive buffet of mixed western and Indian choices. When my bath wouldn't drain, the engineer immediately rectified. I used the free boat service numerous times, with two options for embarking/disembarking, both convenient for local sights. I would definitely return.

My trip to Udaipur was an unforgettable experience! Known as the “City of Lakes,” it truly lives up to its name with stunning views of Lake Pichola and Fateh Sagar. The City Palace was magnificent, showcasing royal architecture and rich history. Boating on Lake Pichola during sunset was magical, with the reflection of palaces on the water. The local markets were vibrant, offering handicrafts and traditional Rajasthani jewelry. I also enjoyed the delicious local cuisine, especially dal bati churma. Udaipur’s blend of culture, heritage, and scenic beauty makes it a perfect destination for peace, romance, and cultural exploration. Highly recommended!

Our family of 4 had an incredible stay at the Leela Palace Udaipur. From the arrival through a boat across the beautiful Lake Pichola, to the food, staff, facilities and service, everything was outstanding and made it a memorable trip. The palace-like property was architecturally good and decorated with beautiful paintings and decor. The quiet lighting and passages give you a palace feel. The highlight of our trip was the 10/10 service from our floor butler Gurjot and the restuarant staff. We are not an easy to please family, with 2 high energy kids under 5, but the staff went above and beyond to get whatever was asked with a warm and professional attitude, especially Sanjay. The staff understood our needs and left things for the kids in our room often like stuffed toys and chocolates. The hotel had a lot of activities during Navrathri with garbhas, puppet shows and Raavan effigy burning that kept the kids engaged especially when their kids activity area is under renovation for another 2 months. The everyday folk performance at 7 and chat counter was a hit! My kids were looking for the drummers and singers everytime we left and entered the property! The rooms were specious and luxurious with all the amenities you needed, however its a bit less small kids friendly with a lot of glass, sliding doors and sharp corners. Not an issue for kids over 6 though. The hotel pool was olympic sides and set against a beautiful background making it great for laps, however the shallowest portion is 5'3" which makes is a bit unsuitable for kids and wading around - but we were blown away when Gurjot got us access to a shallower private pool on the property when we voiced our concerns! Overall, a place that left us wanting to stay longer even after a 5 night stay!

Our stay at The Leela Palace in Udaipur was simply extraordinary – by far the best hotel experience we have ever had. The stunning architecture and breathtaking lakeside location are already remarkable, but what truly sets this property apart is the exceptional guest service. Every single staff member, from the boat driver to the reception team, and especially our personal butler, went far beyond expectations to ensure we had the best possible experience. We would like to give special thanks to Nima, who organized every detail with such precision. Every request we made was promptly accommodated, always with kindness and professionalism. The hotel definitely took our expectations for guest care to an entirely new level. We have had wonderful experiences in other luxury hotels around the world, but this one was simply the best so far. The Leela Palace is flawless in every sense – hospitality, gastronomy, activities, and overall atmosphere. We left with our hearts full and we cannot recommend it highly enough.
