The Leela Palace far outlives all your expectations of a luxury hotel, in every little way possible. My husband and I could only marvel at the attention to detail given by the hotel to ensure the guests have a special time. However, nothing beats the welcome and warmth from all of the staff at all times. A special mention to Niring, our floor butler who truly went above her call of duty for us and made Valentine's Day for us so memorable with her adorable little gifts. I could write paeans to describe how special The Leela Palace is, but words won't do justice. The testament to how much we loved this hotel lies in the fact that my husband and I will most definitely return to Udaipur, and for certain stay at The Leela Palace only!

We ended up here because the Raj Lake Palace had overbooked and we were bumped to accommodate a wedding party. We were initially pretty fed up to say the least. However, on arrival at the Leela we were thrilled that we got an opportunity to stay. Beautifully appointed rooms, great food, lovely gardens and extremely attentive staff. Highly recommend this hotel.

It all starts by taking a boat to cross the lake and since we arrived at night the illumination of the Leela Palace was out of this world. We were welcomed by music and a shower of rose petals. They make you feel like royalty. All in and around the hotel it breathes luxury. There is marble everywhere and rooms are big and bed is very comfortable. Bathroom is large with two sinks so no fighting with wife for time in the morning. Shower and bath are in two separate compartments. The restaurants food is great and most of all the staff is very courteous and always ready to help out in any way they can. It was my wife birthday and they prepared a cake and many of the staff gathered with the good wishes as well as roses. This was a very nice touch from the staff of hotel. If you want to be teated like royalty the Leela Palace in Udaipur is the place to go.

We were brought by the private hotel motor boat. As soon as we came to the hotel we were welcomed by the staff, the hotel musician and showering of rose petal. In no time we were made to feel very comfortable. Room was lake facing, grand in size, with a balcony. Our room and our adult children room was also inetrconnected. The pool side arrangement and relaxing drinks was amazing. Ice tea provided as complementary was somthing which I had never tested was simply amazing.Eveing folk musical programme for about and hour was superb. We felt really good as the hotel cleberated a private birthday celeberation for my wife as complementray. Food was mazing. We felt it gave us real taste of living like a maharaja during our stay. Every staff was amazing. Evening indian meal it is better to arrange before as it gets filled very quickly. I would highly reccomed this place as it is something unique. I haven't seen this type of hospitality while travelled many other places in the world even in India.
