Forget about any other typical vacation places. This place must be on your list if you are in CR. villas are great. I was staying in an ocean view one. Staff is very friendly and helpful. please do not ignore that only 4x4 vehicles are required to get there.

My husband and I spent 5 nights at Oxygen and had an amazing time. The position on the hillside is amazing with great views down to Uvita and the OSA peninsula. The accommodation is impressive, glass structures with fabulous super king bed and huge outdoor settee. If I returned I would request room 1 - 8 as 9 upwards are situated in more dense area of the rainforest and very dark. Everything in the room was of a high standard. More storage and light particularly in the bathroom would have been appreciated. The staff at Oxygen were very friendly, helpful and professional. We only ate had breakfast there once as we like to try other places and it was lovely especially with the view. We had dinner on 2 evenings and this was excellent. Food and drink was expensive in comparison to other places but you are in stunning location and a captive audience. The Mahi mahi was beautiful and presented well. The road to Oxygen was interesting to say the least, it is definitely only accessible by 4 wheel drive and quite hair raising when driving up and down especially when it is raining. It rained a lot and therefore we had limited opportunity to use the pool and sun loungers but the time we did it was fabulous. The waterfall in the grounds was worth a walk to and seeing the toucans was great. The paths were a little slippery due to the rain and algae (it is a rainforest after all!) but the staff were very receptive to this and cleaned them immediately. I would definitely recommend this as a place to visit. Thank you to Jorge and the staff at Oxygen for a fabulous 5 nights.

We stayed two nights in a jungle view villa which we happened to find a little more private than the ocean view villas. And during the day we enjoyed the view from the infinity pool anyways. In our rate breakfast was included and it was very tasty! The breakfast burrito was amazing! We also had dinner at the hotel and enjoyed it with some cocktails. We paid about 70$ for two meals and 4 drinks. That’s probably not cheap but what we paid nearly anywhere in Costa Rica for dinner.

Firstly, two weeks in Costa Rica is no where near long enough! Secondly, this was the best way to end travelling round your amazing country! You still fell very much at one with nature but in the luxury of an incredible bedroom lodge! We were greeted with welcome drinks after a hilarious drive up - it really is only suitable for 4x4 vehicles! We made use of the trails to the waterfalls which were stunning and even headed down in to Uvita and the beach for sunset. The staff made us feel enormously welcome and were very helpful. The food was delicious too. Would definitely recommend and hope to return one day.

Oxygen Jungle Villas is truly an unspoiled gem. Tucked away high in the mountains. I loved the seclusion and intimacy the property offers to its' guests. The staff was amazing and so accommodating - Daniella and Steven were like family, always very welcoming. This is an eco-friendly property and takes a bit of an adventurous spirit to access it but once you're there your breathe will be taken away. The view from the infinity pool is unbelievable; you can see clear to the ocean below. The property is immaculately clean!!
