I wanted to share a great experience with our stay. We stayed for two nights and upon the villas are tucked away in the rainforest with views of the Pacific Ocean (by where all the mama/baby humpbacks make their way in to shallow waters during certain times of the year). The Villas were all glass, with large curtains to cover the windows and doors for privacy. Very quiet with nothing but birds and other wildlife surrounding you. They even cooked our snapper that we caught the day before on a fishing trip. All couples, No children which was very nice as well. Perfect for a honeymoon, couples vacation or just time to get away from the hustle and bustle. Yosen our server was excellent and top notch!! Very personable, knew our names and was knew the menus and everything about the villas and surrounding areas very well!!! He adds to the experience and don't forget to ask for him when you arrive! Thank you for your great hospitality!

Completely relaxing experience. Lovely staff who are friendly kind and attentive. You are met with a wonderful cocktail and a smile! The Ocean villa was romantic, clean and had fantastic views. The food is good with organic where possible. Lots of opportunity to read, sunbathe and swim in the beautiful infinity pool. We went when it was quite empty, so we enjoyed the peace.

I'm that kind of person that believes hotels doesn't really matter when your goal is to explore the territory, because in the end of the day you are just going there to sleep anyways right? But I confess, Oxygen Jungle Villa just made my bfs and my trip amazing. The place is gorgeous, really small and private, with a little waterfall in walking distance. The cabinas have this architecture and modern style mixed with the nature outside creating the perfect combo! The staff is awesome, BIG THANK YOU TO YOSEN, DEIVI, OLMAN that took care of us always with a lovely smile on their faces. They treated us like family. I big thank you to the manager also, he asked the chef to cook the fried ice-cream just for me, since i was craving it for days and they were out of order. The house keepers are NINJAS! they always make sure to clean when we are out of the room, to not interrupt anything, sneak in when we are out for breakfast and when we come back everything is clean!! Since criticism comes for good, i would recommend a little change on the breakfast menu, they have only a few options and when you order bacon comes only two pieces of it. The lunch menu is ok, nothing especial, i would totally include some other items like steaks or pasta. The dinner menu is good. By the way the steak is delicious. But overall i give this place a 5 star! it deserve it!

Beautiful villas, amazing view of the ocean, an escape for those who want a magical experience of being in the Costa Rica jungle, near the waterfalls, and immersing themselves in the sounds of nature. But, it is in Uvita, which is at least a 4 hour drive away from the San Juan airport. Pool is amazing. Restaurant is good. Visit the waterfalls nearby, they are amazing. WARNING: I asked Oxygen Jungle Villas to warn their guests about the following problems with travel: If you go during the raining season (May - Aug), book a flight that arrives as early as possible during the day (in the early AM if possible). I went during May (beginning of rainy season), and my flight arrived at noon. It took 2.5 hours waiting in line to get through customs, 1 hr for Adobe car rental to process the paperwork before I got my car (despite the fact that I pre-booked online). I didn't leave the airport region till close to 4pm. It rains a LOT. The city was backed up with traffic like in LA. I drove for 3-4 hours, in bumper to bumper traffic with rain pouring down and very poor visibility. After 4 hours, I had probably driven 60 miles at most, and made the decision not to continue to Uvita that night due to concerns about driving safely in the dark with poor visibility and torrential rain. I lost a night that I had booked at Oxygen Jungle Villas. I stopped in the nearest town, and just stayed there for the night, and continued my journey to Uvita the next morning. Advise you to drive as early as possible. There are a lot of large trucks on the 1 lane highway (even at 5:30am) that slow you down considerably. You should allow at least 4 hours to drive from San Juan airport to Uvita. If you have traffic or rain, factor in more time. Because of this, and being told to allow 2 hours for customs when departing, I changed my returning flight. If arriving in the afternoon during rainy season, I advise you to stay close to the airport, don't deal with rush-hour traffic (like LA traffic), and just leave for Uvita early the next morning. Also advise you to stay close to the airport the night before if you have an early morning flight.

I wish I could have silent more time here. Restaurant/drinks were a little pricy but the quality of everything was excellent. The rooms are glass cubes that give you an incredible view of the Pacific and the jungle. You need a 4x4 to get here. The massage therapist is excellent. They had good craft beer. The espresso was great, WiFi was good and everyone was very friendly. Beds were comfortable, the AC was cold and the water hot.
