Reviews for Oxygen Jungle Villas
Excellent location. Beautiful views that take your breath away. Extremely helpful and friendly staff members. The rooms are unique and beautiful and even though 3 of the walls are made from glass you never feel like you’re not somewhere private!
I brought my boyfriend here to celebrate his 30th birthday and he loved it!! The property is beautiful, they have a waterfall and river pool you can hike to in ur spare time. The infinity pool is gorgeous!! We had an awesome couples massage and Daniela helped set up a special candlelit dinner for us. Thank you to Omar, Daniela, Roy and yosen!! Great hospitality! There’s nothing like waking up to that view every morning. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Can’t wait to come back!

I think the staff made this vacation #1! From the moment we got there everyone greeted us with a smile and also remembered our names all week long. They all made an effort to make sure we were 100% taken care of. The view was amazing as well. They have waterfalls on the property which you can walk to. its just a little hike! The driving to the villa is beautiful as well....Honestly everything was beautiful. We went the first week of december (rainy season) even with the rain, we had an amazing time...it didnt stop us from doing fun things. We stayed in the ocean view villa. The room was always clean when we got back. The workers all worked SO HARD!!!!!!!!! We ate there quite a bit because the food was amazing and the waiters were so nice. THE WATER WAS DELISH TOO!We will be coming back!

My wife and I spent a full week in an oceanfront villa, very well attended to by a friendly and knowledgable staff and enjoying the excellent accommodations. The villas are very comfortable, and the pool/dining area is pleasant as well. The view over the infinity pool is gorgeous and soothing. Uvita is a fine choice of a base for many excursions (from Corcovado to Manuel Antonio), and Oxygen is the place we'd recommend. You do indeed need a 4-wheel drive to get up the hill. The food at Oxygen is very good, and the service excellent, but you will want to take advantage of other dining opportunities as well, including Mosaic (just off the highway before the road to Oxygen goes unpaved), Cave Sebu (right at the turnoff up to Oxygen), and La Parcela, in Dominicalito. The Parcela, and Bambu, in Ojochal, both have especially good sunset views.

Oxygen jungle villas was a bit of a disappointment. The concept is good, but the villas themselves are pretty basic considering the steep price per night. The food is good. Granted it’s expensive, but then the location doesn’t make for easy catering and as there are only 12 villas I guess they have no economies of scale. Generally though it feels understaffed, especially at night. There was a 2 hour power cut on one of the evenings we were there. We had one of the jungle villas and sat in pitch darkness for an hour before making our way up the fairly treacherous path to reception. There were no torches or candles in the room, and no one came to check that guests in the outlying villas were ok. However hats off to the restaurant staff on duty who managed to produce a meal under tricky conditions!
