I recently traveled to Rancho Pacifico and it was a vacation that I will never forget. We stayed in villa 1, which included a beautiful bedroom with a king size bed and a full bathroom with a view that is indescribable. We had an infinity pool and a nice sized deck that gave us a beautiful view of the sunset every evening. The staff at RP made the stay very relaxing. They were very caring, polite, and professional. When we were planning our activities, they made everything easier from booking and helping arrange taxis to and from the activities. I highly recommend the ATV excursion that gave us views of Costa Rica from the top of the mountain that were amazing. Rancho Pacifico is in tremendous hands with their new ownership of Mark and Marlo. I cannot wait to return to RP in the near future.

As first time travelers to Costa Rica, we didn't know what to expect... It was a good thing, as any expectations would have been blown away by our time at Rancho Pacifico! From the moment we arrived, just after sunset, we felt the calm of the resort relax us. My husband usually takes a few days to relax on a vacation and he was de-strssing within minutes of our arrival at RP! The owners greet you as you enter with a smile and a cool refreshment. The ambiance of the lobby and bar and restaurant treat you to a truly exotic and sensory experience. The pear basil martini and the other tropical drinks were amazing and Vianney was always there at the bar with a smile, ready to take the best possible care of you! Every meal we experienced from fish salad to homemade tortillas to the fresh squeezed fruit juice (prepared by Anna each morning) to the ceviche was a delicious encounter with local foods. We stayed in the upper tree house and the details in the room made the stay all the more enjoyable! Falling asleep to the sounds and the breeze of the rain forest in the enveloping beds, coffee on the balcony as you watch the sun rise in your pajamas --- I truly never wanted to leave! We would highly recommend the waterfall adventures and well as hikes on the local mountainside. The whale's tail beach is a neat adventure and try to take in some local cuisine (Los Laureles is delicious and right down the road). One day spent by the poolside is a must so that you can enjoy all the delicious offerings at all three meals at RP. We finished each day watching the sun set and there is nowhere like the CR sunset from RP! If you can squeeze in a massage or other spa treatment, to do so, in the rain forest, with the ocean at your feet and the mountains to your side adds gloriously to the experience. I cannot wait to get back! Mark and Marlo were fabulous hosts and we wish them all the best in this new endeavor!

This was, hands down, the best vacation I have ever experienced! I stayed in Villa 2 with four girl friends of mine, which included 2 king sized beds, 2 bathrooms, a full sized kitchen, and a mini pool and hot tub right outside our doors. We had a gorgeous view of the sunset and were surrounded by the beauty of the rain forest. The concierge was extremely helpful in planning our activities, which ranged from ATV-ing to kayaking to snorkeling. The food was absolutely to die for, and was well worth the listed price -- complimentary breakfast, fresh lunch, and different types of fish/meat or vegetarian/vegan options every day. The bartenders made some of the best drinks I have ever tasted (I recommend the bloody and their famous pineapple basil martini)! Could not have asked for a better staff. Whether we were out and exploring, or just lounging by the pool, every second of it was a dream. All in all, I have zero complaints for this resort. The new owners, Mark and Marlo, are doing an amazing job at offering a comfortable yet adventurous resort. I highly recommend RP! We'll be back soon!

This was one of the best vacations I have ever been on. The resort was one of a kind in the rainforest with views that look like a painting.Everynight we had an unbelievable view of the sunset whether it was from the main pool/bar area or from the porch of our villa (villa 1). Each day the weather was right around 80 degrees and sunny allowing us to explore and try new activities. These activities consisted of hiking, kayaking, swimming in the natural pools, ATVing, and exploring the local beaches. The resort itself also offer plenty of pools and areas to hang out without having to leave the top of the mountain. The staff was very friendly and very welcoming throughout our entire stay. The food was delicious as well. I would recommend this resort to anyone that is considering traveling to Costa Rica.

We traveled to Ranch Pacifico recently with another couple and we didn't want to leave this oasis in the jungle. Here are a few reasons why we can't wait to return: Pros: • Amazing views of the rainforest and beach • Delicious food and drinks prepared by local chefs/bartender (we are food snobs) • Intimate luxury accommodations tucked in nature (stayed in 2 bedroom villa) • Friendly staff and owners (Vienney made the best pineapple martini) • Fun, but strenuous, hike to nearby waterfall • Relaxing massage (after our hike) overlooking the beautiful rainforest • No phones/TV's (but there's wifi so you can post pics of your fabulous vacation) • Many activities within driving distance to the resort (ziplining, white water rafting, lounging on the beach, and shopping/eating at nearby coastal lunch overlooking the beach at Tortilla Flats in Dominical Con (more a suggestion, than a con): • It is a 4 hour drive from San Jose, so I recommend you either fly into Quepos then rent a 4-wheel drive (which you will need to get up the hill) or arrive early into San Jose so you can take your time driving down the coast We look forward to visiting again and bringing more friends with us next time to experience Pura Vita (pure life) at RP in Costa Rica!
