From the time of arrival to our very last day, Rancho Pacifico was pure bliss. From the lovely accommodations (we stayed in the two bedroom luxury villa) to the extra friendly staff and caring owners to the fresh organic meals, this place was a true gem. The location is very remote and falling asleep to the many sounds of the jungle held some of our best and deepest nights of sleep in a long time. While very secluded, you will also have access to some of the country's most beautiful beaches and spots. The resort carefully selects day-time excursions if you are feeling adventurous. This place will hold a special place in our hearts forever and we can't wait to return one day.

This was our second visit to the Rancho! The location , the service and just de WOW effect of this hĂ´tel is incredible! The site is remote enough and beiing in the Jungle makes the experience unique and live . Food is great , room are clean and far enough from main service area to feel the Jungle!!

We stayed 3 nights in the treehouse villa which was insanely beautiful. Our entire stay was exceptional and was the best hotel we stayed in during our 3 weeks in Costa Rica. The food is amazing and is both reasonably priced and plentiful. The service was brilliant, Anna was our waitress every day and she was so lovely. The views from the resort of the Marino Ballena National Park are stunning. Everything about the resort is 5* and if you are considering staying we would highly recommend it, it was worth every penny.

This property is absolutely beautiful and the staff is phenomenal. The destination is remote and very far from a lot of attractions, removed from the beach and up a intensely steep mountain. The room was really nice, but our toilet had leaked onto the floor prior to our check-in, but it was quickly addressed by the cleaning attendant when we told the front desk. Dining was fabulous as were the drinks at the bar. Small pool needed some repair and attention but was nice and private. Great views from open air room, and comfortable bed. Breakfast and dinner were really good. Very small and quaint, quiet and peaceful.

My fiancé and I will always have a special place in our hearts for Rancho Pacifico. We were there in early December of 2017 and it was the first trip to Costa Rica for the both of us. My boyfriend (now fiancé) chose this magical and romantic location to propose. RP is located in the mountains overlooking the Uvita region in Costa Rica. We were there right at the tail end of the rainy season, so we had a bit of rain, but the weather was always warm; the last days of our week there were hot and sunny. Because we weren't there during the tourist season (dry season) it felt like we had the hotel all to ourselves. RP only has a couple villas to begin with, so whether you're looking for privacy or to interact with other guests and staff-you can do both. Another one of our favorite parts of the experience was the staff. Everyone who works there (Ana, Amanda, Vianney, Jose, Karla, Natalia, Alex, Salamina) were so thoughtful, accommodating, and friendly. We loved having drinks in the evening and chatting with them. We considered them friends by the end of our stay. My fiancé and I also enjoyed the company of the owners, Mark and Marlo. They were always present at the hotel ready to give us recommendations for the day or just chat. They were so helpful in arranging excursions for us to go on, even driving us into town with their own car. If you're looking for excursions during your stay, we'd highly recommend kayaking/snorkeling and doing a rain forest tour/hike. Gary and I had a incredible hike up the mountain where RP is located guided by two local brothers. We were able to explore waterfalls, pick coffee beans (who knew they were red?!), and spend an amazing day with Henry and Oldemar. I've never had a more personal and authentic experience on a vacation. For all the physical activity we had everyday, we knew we could go back to the hotel, take showers overlooking a rain forest, get dressed up for cocktails and good conversations, and sit down to a four course meal (the food itself was so delicious and fresh I could probably write a separate review about it). Thank you Rancho Pacifico for making our vacation and engagement so special. We'll definitely be back again!
