Rancho Pacifico

My husband and I have been to Costa Rica many times. Usually in the Quepos area. This time we decided to travel to Uvita. When I searched for best places to stay, Rancho Pacifico popped up and was named #1. I have to say, it definitely deserves the praise! From start to finish our stay was everything we were hoping it would be. The detailed and personalized touches were so appreciated. For example, they reached out prior to our stay to learn our menu preferences. I don’t eat red meat and was so happy they had choices. Speaking of the food, it was amazing! The chef and his team were incredible. We went off property for one dinner and while it was good, we wished we had just stayed. The bartender, to the concierge to the housekeepers were all on point. Accommodations were also gorgeous and it self to relaxation. It was hard not to feel calm. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much for an amazing trips!

We can not stop talking about our experience! If you are considering booking just do it! RP is very private and intimate. The staff and food are amazing. We have stayed at the Nayara resorts in La Fortuna the past four years. We wanted to see the coast this year before we drove up to La Fortuna so we gave RP a shot and they knocked it out of the park! We will be going back.

My wife and I stayed 10 nights celebrating our anniversary and I can’t say enough great things about it. The location on top of the mountain was like no other. The Villa Romantica & Mono Congo Treehouse are absolutely top notch accommodations. Even better is the amazing staff! From the owners all the way down to the maid service, they are absolutely amazing!! Extra shout out to the Bar Tenders/restaurant staff & the Concierge team. They made everything so memorable and easy. Food/drink are a 10 out of 10! We can’t wait to go back! Thank you Rancho Pacifico!!

Absolutely AMAZING. 10/10 experience. The staff, the food, the location, the atmosphere, the amenities. Everything was perfect. The very best vacation I’ve ever been on. On site private yoga, couples massages, secluded waterfall, gourmet kitchen, small gym with a peloton and other gym equipment. Yes, it’s a bit of a hike from the airport but it is so worth it. As my title says, I am already planning when I can go back!! The team at Rancho Pacifico takes all the stress out of planning so it is truly a vacation.

Breathtaking. From your drive up the jungle mountain road to the end of their infinity pool, the scenery is unbelievable. I truly could not believe a place like Rancho Pacifico existed. Okay, from the beginning. The drive up, literally up, the mountain road to get to the hotel was gorgeous. Surrounded by gorgeous green trees and wildlife. The entrance into the resort transports you into another world. We were instantly greeted the moment we arrived. They took our bags directly to our rooms. Offered us the most divinely refreshing (and fresh) juice beverage and wet towel. The view. I felt like I was on a movie scene. The view overlooks what they call Whales Tail, a gorgeous beach that shows off in the different tides. You are surrounded by the sounds and ambiance of the jungle. We had exotic birds flying by, you could hear monkeys, and frogs! It was wild. But also, in that some moment, so peaceful. It felt like there were zero distractions in my ability to escape into this paradise. The pool is placed perfectly to just stand in and stare at the ocean and mountains. And the hot tub felt divine. And the sunsets!! I actually captured a PINK Rainbow at sunset. It was pure magic. There were plenty of lounge chairs and tables to relax in. And the bartender was so attentive and kind. The amount of Pina Coladas and fresh smoothies were insane. On to our villa. We stayed in Whales Tail Villa, or Villa 3. There were 3 couples (us and our 2 siblings with their spouses) and we had the entire villa to ourselves! Since the villa is not directly attached to the main resort area, they offer drivers to take you up. Immediately upon arrival you can tell how gorgeous it is. So many windows and balconies to enjoy everything. You walk up the stairs to the main floor (has the villa kitchen and social area) and on the main table was a bowl full of fresh fruit, the most gorgeous giant bouquet of exotic flowers I have ever seen, and the cutest note to me in celebration of my birthday. The fridge was stocked with a variety of drinks and the counter with treats. Our room (all 3 were identical) had a king size bed, with 2 walls being windows leading to a private balcony, a huge bathroom with walk-in shower with 2 shower heads. They even had a door to the balcony from the shower! Outside the villa we had our own private mini pool as well. Our first morning there, we woke up and went out on the balcony to see an anteater!! Huge! Just walking along one of the trees. Sooo many exotic birds and listened to the howler monkeys. The food. I should note: I have Celiac’s Disease. I have never felt so accommodated before from anyplace I have ever stayed, especially outside of the Us. Oh. My. Gosh. Because they are a boutique hotel, the resort does not hold a large quantity of guests at a time. The dining area itself maybe sat 30 people? So it was intimate and perfect. Back to the food. Breakfast was so filling! The options were divine. The food was incredibly flavorful and fresh and beautifully plated. Lunch was the same. So many options to pick from and I loved being able to try so many different things. Dinner. Wow. It started with 2 appetizers. They provided me with Gluten Free options as needed, which never disappointed. Then an option between two main course options, and then a dessert. Again the flavors were divine. You can tell everything was prepared fresh. They have a private waterfall on their property that you can hike too. It’s a good little hike but so worth it. You are completely immersed in the jungle. The following days were filled with excursions that they had planned for us. The partnering companies were excellent! We went on a boat ride to see whales, and snorkeled with sharks and turtles. My husband took surfing lessons. We went ATVing up the jungle mountain roads, through a coffee plantation, hiked a waterfall, and had an absolute blast. They provided transportation down to the beach where we walked the beach and up through Whales Tail. Again, the staff was always on top of making sure we had rides and were timely. One of the nights they provided a night hike which was more of a guided animal discovery walk about. It was amazing to discover was animals lived in the area. We got a massage at their on-site Spa and good heavens could I have stayed there for hours. They were fabulous and respectful. If you have the opportunity to go to Rancho Pacifico, you must take it. It is an experience unlike anything else. From the most amazing and attentive staff, to the food, to the amenities, you will be transported. It will be one of the most relaxing vacations you’ve taken.
