Rancho pacifico wow wow, was amazing i will never forget the excitement that my husband and I had when we arrived to the hotel we were received by karla that showed us the hotel. The tree house was amazing, the view, all the window, it was just perfect to disconnect from our stressfull world. The food was delicious i am already missing the breakfast the coffee was espectacular the juices, the tipico plate, tortillas with cheese wow so yummy. Going to bed or waking up with The howling of the animals was priceless. I really enjoy everysingle moment at rancho pacifico, i love to have a waterfall so close to the hotel. The bahia ballena beach is so beautiful i had never seen one like that one, the water its calm and semi clear you can see the fishes all sizes. Note: dont take anything with high value in your bags if you can just take a little be cash and leave the rest in the safe of the hotel. Mark, Marlo and the staff Of rancho pacifico represent a family thank you for taking care of us. We will always remember the beautiful things about rancho pacifico and costa rica. Kim&Angel

We really enjoyed our stay at RP. The staff is helpful, the atmosphere is quiet and private, and the accommodations are lovely. The views are incredible. We stayed in the jungle treehouse and were able to see many animals from our large balcony. We brought a nice camera on the trip, which made sighting the animals much more exciting. As a side note, we highly suggest doing the Sierpe Mangrove tour while you are there! The owners are great and happy to help give suggestions. The ONLY thing we had trouble with was the drive to the hotel. The last two miles are very steep on an unpaved road, so be prepared to have a hefty wheeled vehicle that can help you get up and down this road. If you are prepared for this, it is manageable, but may also be worth just paying for travel to/from the hotel and to your tours, as the rental car ends up being quite pricey anyways. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay. We love Mark and Marlo, along with all of the staff members. The experience was one we won't forget!

Just returned home from a week here and we're already planning the next trip! I can't say enough good about the entire experience of this resort - the most friendly staff I've ever met, excellent accommodations (Puma Treehouse), meals were delicious, the overall service and atmosphere is top-notch. Stunning sunsets, romantic settings, gorgeous views - RP has it all. Vianney makes some killer cocktails, Anna provided anything we asked for at every meal, Karla & Solome are excellent with helping to plan excursions. Owners Mark & Marlo are friendly and very interactive with the guests. My husband and I left feeling like family.

We have been spoiled by previous experiences at truly first class resorts but we left after 6 nights not quite fulfilled by our stay. Gorgeous views, very quiet (too quiet?), nice people (Vianney, thanks for the good bar tending, Karla, good job on securing tours for us) but not quite what it should be for the price. No air conditioning was surprising (when we opened our bags later all our clothes were humid) which was ok in the dry season but I can’t imagine how it must be after a couple of days of rain, disappointing food for an outrageous price (we found way better, repeatedly, just down the road). Absolutely terrible access road which beats up cars and passengers every time you want to go somewhere which is all the time because they is nothing that happens at or around the hotel. We still give a rating of 4 for the comfort and spaciousness of the rooms (we were in Villa 2), the kindness of the employees and the views. But this fabulous location deserves a little more effort and first class service to reach the standard it strives for and to deserve the price it charges.

I recently traveled to Rancho Pacifico and it was a vacation that I will never forget. We stayed in villa 1, which included a beautiful bedroom with a king size bed and a full bathroom with a view that is indescribable. We had an infinity pool and a nice sized deck that gave us a beautiful view of the sunset every evening. The staff at RP made the stay very relaxing. They were very caring, polite, and professional. When we were planning our activities, they made everything easier from booking and helping arrange taxis to and from the activities. I highly recommend the ATV excursion that gave us views of Costa Rica from the top of the mountain that were amazing. Rancho Pacifico is in tremendous hands with their new ownership of Mark and Marlo. I cannot wait to return to RP in the near future.
