Great getaway for Mother's day!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 23 hours ago

We did a quick getaway for Mother's day and it was perfect! My wife just expected to relax and nothing more. She got to do that and much more. We enjoy the pool, the spa and got some great family time in! Mother's day they had a brunch to celebrate that we were not aware of, but was spectacular. I almost passed it off as if I had planned it!

any room will do if your time is mostly outside

Beautiful location and amenities. The rooms are a bit dirty..I know they are used a lot and probably hard to keep up with the upkeep/issues. If you're not in the room much can't beat the hotel location and things to do around the hotel.

Great Experience at the Grand Hyatt in Vail!

Fantastic location, hotel is top notch, clean, great gym and the service was amazing for being so slow this time of year. Very hospitable and the food was terrific

Avoid the in-between seasons.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Don't go in the office season. I'm sure this place is great during ski season or the summer. I was unlucky enough to book a spring skiing trip for a year where skiing ended weeks earlier than usual. The resort was a ghost town and it was obvious the more experienced staff was all out. I'm not thrilled to be charged the full resort fee when the resort was running a skeleton crew.

Great stay in a winter wonderland

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Had an amazing time despite the fact that most of the mountain was closed. We ended up getting some snow at least! Unfortunately the chair lift was not operating so we did have to take the shuttle but it wasn’t too bad. If it was that would have been very convenient. The ski shop was very convenient for storing gear overnight. The pool, hot tub, saunas and warm igloos were so great after our ski days as were the cookies, cocoa and s’mores everyday. We didn’t get to check out the movie area but that’s a bonus for families who don’t ski a whole day and want some down time. Guess we was great for breakfast on slower days and are ate at the cafe for days we wanted a quicker meal. Makato was just ok for us. Altitude sickness was a thing for my daughter and I so just be prepared it may take a day or two to acclimate. Lots of advil! Overall would stay again.

My wife and I just returned from a five-night stay at the Vail Cascade Resort & Spa. The accommodations were fantastic! With the hotel's spa, ski shops, ski lift, movie theater, and convenient shuttle bus, the trip was incredible! We will be back...with friends!
