Reviews for Hotel Rodavento

Perfecto for families.

This was the very best place to stay with kids. Plenty for kids and grownups to stay busy. A short 10 min taxi into Valle. We loved our time here. Definitely recommend. Amazing food and authentic Mexican experience. Not "American touristy" at all. If you speak Spanish even better here but not a necessity. If you have kids, don't doubt this option. I say "go!" We have 3 kids. Son age 9.5, and 2 daughters ages 13,14. Kids club for our son was clutch. Great experience all around. Such a fun and beautiful setting. Great food and drinks. Great settings for grown-ups to enjoy just as much.

I was robbed during my stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

I was robbed during my stay. There was no hot water in the room, so on our way to dinner (at the hotel’s restaurant) we asked the front desk to fix the issue. When we returned, I noted that money was missing from my wallet so I called the front desk to ask if someone entered the room to which they said no. When I mentioned that money was missing, the night manager came to the room with the maintenance person and both of them reaffirmed that nobody entered the room and that the boiler issue was fixed from the outside. I then asked to see the electronic record of room entrance. The record confirmed that someone entered to the room while we were at dinner. After this confirmation, the hotel manager told me that he will personally take care of the issue and that I would be reimbursed. Two weeks have passes since then with no response from management (after I followed up). I would not recommend staying here.

This might be our new favorite hotel anywhere. The grounds are their own beautiful eco park.... there's almost no reason to leave them. The staff is incredibly gracious and attentive. The restaurant was excellent, the bar was elegant and comfortable, the wifi worked great when you needed it. Our room (32) was super spacious and private.

Nice location, good service

We went to this hotel to access the monarch butterflies at Piedra Herada and it was a good choice. Nice wooded location though the walk to our cabin was uphill. Artificial dam is nice and food was very good.

Un hotel no apto para discapacidades.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed April 10, 2023

A semi-country hotel, with good facilities, however the excessive prices for the services they offer, each recreational activity with high cost and its old and not very useful equipment. The kitchen is not the best, the breakfast options are limited and the temperature of the food is not taken care of. For a couple of fried eggs, a cold plate, very cold. Lunch and dinner do not improve. the service is diligent and attentive. We liked the visit but I don't think we'll repeat the experience.
