Lovely hotel, we think the best in Valletta ( we did look round another one but the pool was at the end of a very long garden) The steps (89) out of the hotel were a killer, my calves! Coming back was ok. Yes, I know they have a shuttle bus but once in a morning (10am) and back at 4pm is not enough! We had to go into Valletta for breakfast, so 10am was too late! The room was lovely, go for a sea view as it's worth the money, lovely veranda overlooking the harbour and pool. Rooms not a sea view overlook the entrance to the hotel or worse! Best hotel in Valletta x

This is the second time we have stayed here and have been impressed both times. Excellent accommodation, good food and helpful, friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff we met seemed proud to be working there. Well done.

From the moment we walked into the foyer, we knew we had made the right choice. Apart from one or two hiccups regarding staff - which were quickly sorted by the Customer Relations Team - we had a wonderful stay. Our room (616) was well-positioned with a lovely view of the harbour. The room - and indeed the hotel - provided all those things which hotels used to provide but have now cut back on to save money. It was a delight to stay here and - despite the number of steps going up to Valletta - we would not hesitate to return. One last thing. Keep an eye out for Eileen in the breakfast room. She is literally a treasure. Her interventions made our stay perfect. If you have any problem, tell her and - like a wizard - she solves it!! Thanks Eileen!!

Stayed for a week in April. Had a lovely spacious room with 180 degree harbour view which was frankly stunning! The breakfast was good with lots of choice. Loved the cooked omelettes. Had the buffet dinner on several evenings which had an amazing selection of good food, something for everyone. Swam in both pools. The outdoor pool is lovely albeit a little cold in April. We utilised the airport pick up service which was good and also did an island tour with the hotel car, the drivers made it interesting, so well worth doing. Only a short walk into the heart of Valletta which was beautiful. Any negatives? Well, the hotel building would benefit from a bit of a freshen up outside and the choice of fruit and fruit juices at breakfast was a bit limited and sugary for my taste. However, overall a great holiday and I would return at a heartbeat!

This is a lovely hotel, with all the amenities one expects of a five-star hotel. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. They cope beautifully even at full capacity. The breakfast is, as advertised, the best in Malta. The pools beautiful, though one cannot swim laps in the indoor pool. This would be a perfect hotel for yacht owners, since it has its own marina. The difficulty re its location is that in order to get to the town, you have to climb 88 steps, or take a taxi. There's no way to simply walk out of the hotel and go to some shop or restaurant. It's true there is a free shuttle available, but it's only twice a day.
