Check in was a mess. I was early, 3 hours or so before check in and was pre checked in. The front desk said they would call me when a room was ready. Cool. I went an ate lunch at the bistro next to the hotel. Then went shopping at the Pacific Center. Came back around 3:45 pmish to see if there was a room. Nope, room not ready but 2 people were check in right in front of me. The morning staff didn't pass down the information...not good. I was checked in and no "welcome to Executive, here is the benefits, such as the WIFI passcode". I had to call for the passcode. Then there was a front desk staff yelling at everyone walking to the elevator, asking if their stay was going well. I literally said "My stay is not going well" and the staff member was baffled. I ordered dinner from the bistro and had to deal with one of rudest restaurant emplyee ever. The front desk supervisor gave me some sketchy directions and no address to a sushi restaurant. I am not from Vancouver BC, why would I know the way to gas town? No map, no nothing. I was awaken around 1 am because a big truck was delivering items for the cafe near the hotel (not their fault). The hotel is in a sketchy part of town. At least the night auditor called a taxi for me when I left.

Everything about this hotel is elegant, including the Alouette restaurant. Large suites and great staff as well. But don't expect any cheap restaurants nearby. Other than Tim Hortons.

This is the second time our family (2 adults and 2 children) have had the pleasure of staying at Le Soleil. Once again we were greeted by the friendly and welcoming staff and were lucky enough to be selected as the ‘guests of the day’ where we enjoyed a bottle of wine and macarons to share. It made us feel extra special and was the cherry on top to another fabulous stay. We will definitely be back!

A western european feel, obviously by design, Rooms have the same vibe, Service was excellent, do not disturbs respected as well as a ‘are you out for the day?” for clean up. Central location and small enough to border on being ‘boutique,’ A pleasant stay.

What an Excellent Uptown Hotel. So impressed with the food at Alouette Restaurant which is attached to the hotel. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable as well. Definitely would recommend to anyone traveling to Vancouver BC.
