A warm oasis in a large city, Hotel Le Soleil provided a friendly, helpful staff, a comfortable bed, and a location central accessible to restaurants, shopping and tourist attractions. From the moment my friend and I stepped through the door, we felt welcomed. From helping us with directions, getting cabs or providing apples and newspapers in the Libby, Le Soleil provided the ultimate experience in hotel stays. I have stayed in hotels around the world, and place Le Soleil at the top.

Very quaint hotel, located in an excellent location in downtown Vancouver, just about a 5 minute walk to Canada Place. The bellman at the front door when we arrived was excellent. He was so friendly and helpful, from taking our luggage up to our room, explaining everything in our room, to very helpful dinning suggestions. I'm afraid I didn't catch his name on the two times we spoke in which I regret, and the day we left, he wasn't on duty. Only down side to our stay, was our location and view of our room. We paid for an upgrade to a corner suite, for which our view was of large air conditioner's and a brick wall. That really wasn't what I was expecting, but overall the room was nice. Not the most modern, but like I said, it was a boutique type of hotel. The front desk staff wasn't as helpful as the bellman, but they did the best they could, our sink backed up and I found hairs in my shower, but they took care of it all when I brought it to their attention. I gave the hotel an excellent rating because of the bellman. Thank you.

My office ordered a twin-bed suite by computer error, dumb-thumbing, but, while in shock, we were offered a quick transfer to a gorgeous king-bed suite. After a few minutes the subtleties of the hotel came tumbling into sight. The wall paper's gold stripes, the silvery stripes on the triple sheeted bed, the gold woven in curtain materials, the golden colours repeated in lobby decorations, sconces, statuary, painting, and walls, and reflected in miniature on the bathroom's countertops, faucets, and tiles on the floor. The thick carpets in halls, the silence in bedrooms, the sun icons everywhere but almost invisible in muted shades and bezels. These, like the vaulted lobby ceilings, are understated elegance, and the repeated colors and patterns are inside pleasures. The hotel's location is an outside joy. Imagine sleeping 3 blocks from the Supreme Court and Shinzenya, a superb brown-rice Japanese restaurant, 4 from Canada Place and the cruise ships, 4 from the Bay, Nordstrom's, and the Sky trains, 5 from the Sea-bus line to Lonsdale Quay. We had 4 wonderful Vancouver days and 3 nights at Le Soleil. We owe the kindly staff and the bright manager an apology for being undone at first by our very own typing error, and we expressed our gratitude for helping us quickly regain balance -- and for introducing us to the subtle charms of our latest go-to hotel in Vancouver. Forget tall towers with glass walls and plastic and chrome: the sun rises and sets on this excellent premium executive hotel, Le Soleil, and for the careful guest, the city surrounds you here, trumping all towers, one might say. Downtown Vancouver revolves around warm, laidback, and sublime Le Soleil.

Hotel was well situated down town. The staff were helpful and accommodating. Room was quiet and comfortable. I arrived early and they were able to get me in my room. Five minute walk to either shopping or waterfront

The Hotel Le Soleil was amazing!!! So close to everything. Great restaurant on site with well stocked bar. Beautiful updated common areas. We got a free upgrade to a penthouse suite! Just amazing! Our suite had lovely views from the decks, a fantastic bathroom with a stand alone tub and a separate tv/sitting room with a twin fold out sofa bed. Can't say enough! The staff was polite, professional and very friendly. Wonderful wonderful stay! Highly Recommend this hotel.
