We booked the Hotel Le Soleil after viewing it on line. We had been on a 10 day cruise. If you don't mind walking, the hotel is about 10 minutes from the pier. The staff was wonderful. They were very helpful with suggestions of things to see and do during our stay and offered ideas about where to eat. The room was more of a suite. We had a sitting area separate from the bedroom and a patio area that we could sit outside. I would definitely recommend the Hotel Le Soleil to anyone traveling to Vancouver.

Very close to all the great shopping areas. Lots of restuarants. Also, we were picked up at the hotel on all of our tours. very convenient! A must for us, and the reason for our trip, was to go to Buchart Gardens. They are so beautiful all times of the years. The tour of the city gave us so much information that we really appreciated. we went of one of the food tours and ate so well , with our guide telling us all about the area, the food, and drinks,

The location of the hotel was perfect. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and a drugstore nearby. I was able to walk to the cruise port with my luggage, the port is only a few blocks away. The staff were friendly and helpful. I liked that the room had a separate bedroom and living room area. The décor was lovely, very elegant.

Our office held a luncheon in the Banquet room of Hotel LeSoleil in Vancouver in Feb. It was very disappointing and fell short of expectations. The response from management on our feedback was unsatisfactory and frustrating. • On arrival at the hotel there was no signage to point the guests to the banquet room and some of the guests found no one at Reception to give direction to the banquet room. • The banquet room was advertised to seat 12 however there was so little space between the table and the banquet room walls that the guests couldn’t get past the chairs of the other guests on their side of the table. So, in order to access the buffet or leave the room, all guests had to get out of their seats and file to the front of the room, then wait for the guest to be ready to return to their seat at which time all would file back. • The food was unappetizing with the soup being tasteless, the chicken dry and the salad was served with no dressing. This was unacceptable to the group so salad dressing was requested. The Branch Manager had to leave the room to find staff for this as no staff were on hand. • The Branch Manager couldn’t get service in the room, she had to leave the room and go looking for staff to assist with every request (as above - salad dressing, wine, etc.) • The plates were not cleared away at any time during the luncheon and the guests had to stack them on any available surface, including the floor which is where some of the plates were when the guests left. • Due to the set-up of the room, the quality of the luncheon and the lack of service, the luncheon was a huge disappointment. I would not recommend considering having a corporate meeting or luncheon at this venue.

This was a very nice, older hotel. The bell hops were very helpful with luggage and dining ideas. The room was a suite, but very small. There wasn't a lot of room to walk around, but the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was luxurious with a glassed in shower and large counter top for all our stuff. We even used the small fridge to store a few items, though it was full of drinks and snacks for purchase. This was also a great location, near restaurants and the waterfront.
