About the Hotel

When it debuted at the height of the Roaring Twenties, Rosewood Hotel Georgia established itself as the Canadian destination for entertainment royalty. Marlene Dietrich showed up with 40 of her suitcases, John Wayne sauntered over the threshold, and Bing Crosby topped a never-ending list of headline entertainers. British Columbia’s top radio station, CKWX, broadcasted from the penthouse for more than a decade. Today, after a 2011 renovation, old-world touches still glimmer in a thoroughly modern hotel, a revival of the Golden Age of Travel. There’s a funky, mosaic-tiled indoor pool and a gourmet room service menu that serves late into the night (you can thank Audrey Hepburn’s list of demands for that one).

Lovely downtown location: check rates regularly

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Great place to relax in the heart of downtown. Fantastic upgrade to this hotel, having stayed there over 20 years ago. The bar and rooms scream luxury. Staff are very attentive and we were given a small room upgrade upon check in. Room amenities include generous Diptyque products and great interior design. Drawbacks are that the rooms are noisy due to its location. Also the main bar in reception is lovely but small. Great gym and poolside experience. The hotel initially charged us a high room fee on their website. We looked into rates a few months before our original booking. Saw that the rooms were literally half price so cancelled and re-booked at the cheaper rate.

Beautiful Hotel with Excellent Location and Services

We were upgraded to a suite. It was clean, quiet, and very comfortable with 1.5 baths, a dining-living room space, and a bedroom. A wonderful breakfast is included, and their attached restaurant is first-rate. We asked the concierge for restaurant suggestions, and we were not disappointed with all the places we tried. It was a wonderful relaxing experience.

Good nights of sleep

Stayed here during the Vancouver marathon for 4 nights. Valet is not very helpful. We checked in around 1pm and was told the room is semi-ready and we will receive a text when the room is ready. We headed out for a stroll and at 3:30 we still didn’t receive a text. So we went back and checked, the room was ready. Somehow they forgot to send us a text? The room is kind of dark, decor is modern. Bed is very comfortable. However the AC is not cool enough so I woke up sweating. Also, the shower pressure is good but the shower didn’t have a separate shower handle. The Gym has all technogym, it is bright and the small studio is great for stretch. The breakfast selection is limited, nothing really stood out. When we checkout the bill was a mass which we had to spend some time to make sure that itemize item is correct one by one.

Jade Monet is a Must See! Absolute Powerhouse.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

The highlight of our visit to the Rosewood Hotel Georgia was the incredible performance by Jade Monet. Her voice is absolutely world class, soulful, powerful, and perfectly suited for the atmosphere at The Georgia Bar. If you're in Vancouver, you have to check her schedule and catch a set. She’s a must see talent!

Rosewood continues to exceed everyone

Stayed here for 1 night en route to Whistler. Room was perfect with every detail thought of. Service was exceptional and hotel facilities and food were amazing. The Rosewood brand continues to be a step above everyone else…they truly get hospitality an it’s a premium worth paying for.
