Arrived from the UK in the late afternoon local time after a taxi ride from the Airport. Pleasant welcome, handed our briefing pack from the travel company, had a drink and a snack and then to bed. Next day a good breakfast and the location is fine for a walk along the waterfront, into Stanley Park and back. Quiet evening. Ate in the hotel - the most amazing fried brussel sprouts imaginable. Good bar and restaurant service The hotel is pleasant, but more for business travelers than tourists, but a good central location and a solid start to our holiday.

Metropolitan Hotel at Vancouver was too Expensive for its service The location is Great but there is nothing else to offer. It Is just a very good option for business and executives, not at all for families

Just a stroll from the waterfront...room was comfortable. I didn't eat in the restaurant as there are so many nearby. Staff were very polite and the concierge was extremely helpful. Highly recommend this spot...

I booked this room for a work conference and a few days with my wife before the conference started; upon arrival the less than congenial staff worked through the steps but did not make the experience pleasant. After a prolonged wait for the elevator the car jostled and groaned its way to our floor. After a few days in the mountains we were excited to a relaxing and romantic time in our room; unfortunately what we found was a room that was not the same as pictured on the website. The room was very dated (20 year old?). The bathroom was right out of the 80's, the hair on the toilet seat appeared very new however...Trying to stay positive we opened the refrigerator to put in some beverages we had bought and found everything in the unit to be warm to the touch. The gym is TINY, if more than one person is trying to use the 30 year old equipment it is uncomfortable. The pool is very nice and there are two courts to use, which is nice. The Sauna is fine and the steamroom was clean, but only in the men's locker room. The elevator is very old and the ride bumpy. After a stay in a much nicer room upon our arrival in Vancouver 4 days prior for the same price we were left very frustrated and disappointed.

This hotel is in a great location. If location and price are your most important criteria, then definitely consider staying here. However, in some respects, the facilities offered by the hotel don't live up to the description. For example, the advertised "steam room" is in fact a (lukewarm) dry sauna, with no steam facility whatsoever. The gym is the smallest I have ever seen, and the pool is also small (10m).
