Reviews for Fairmont Waterfront
Went with a friend to celebrate her daughter's 13th birthday. Hotel reservations staff (Kimberley) made detailed suggestions for what to do and went to trouble of having some small gift items and a birthday card in the room. Made the bday girl feel very special. Room was magnificent. Darrin in the Arc Restaurant went out of his way to make sure the buffet stayed open longer for us, and also made some suggestions on what to do during our stay. All the staff were terrific - I've stayed here many times - always a great experience, but this one topped them all. Terrific staff, and loved seeing dogs checking in too - what's not to love about a hotel that welcomes dogs!

Second time at this hotel – very convenient location across from Canada Place. Once again, most staff at this Fairmont hotel were generally friendly and helpful. Would have rated the experience 5/5 except that despite booking a “Signature harbor view” room and a Fairmont room especially for New Year’s eve more than six months prior to arrival, we ended up with two “Partial harbor view” rooms. The upgrade of one of the rooms was appreciated, but the downgrade of the other room was extremely disappointing to put it mildly. After some discussion we eventually received the room that we had reserved and appreciated the 23rd floor room with a truly spectacular view for the fireworks.

Fairmont properties tend to be character buildings with a lot of history to them. The Fairmont Waterfront diverges from this by being a more modern space. This results in rooms, at least on the 22nd floor, that are larger than average for a Fairmont and if you have a Harbourview room you get some incredible views. Not a bad way to catch a sunset/sunrise! Room was well kept with the amenities you'd expect. Folks at the front desk were pleasant and helpful with suggestions / answering questions. Seems to be a spot that's equally good for business / pleasure. I'd happily stay here again.

I am unbelievably impressed by the staff. Katie went above and beyond to help me after I stained my dress at an event I attended at the hotel. I was not a guest at the hotel this trip, but she still treated me as if I were. She went above and beyond to help me clean the dress so I could get back to the gala I was attending in one of the beautiful banquet rooms. Thank you Katie, and thank you Fairmont for taking care of me!
Close to it all, the hotel is right on the waterfront, steps from the convention center and walking distance from great shopping and eclectic neighborhoods. The service was very good, as you would expect from a hotel of this caliber. The concierge had some spot on recommendations for restaurants. We took a walk up to Robson for some shopping one morning and walked along the seawall to Stanley Park one afternoon. A beautiful hotel in the heart of a beautiful city.
